LIGHT DIMENSIONS, CONTENT OF THE BOX
ATTENTION! The life span of the battery depends on you as well! Please
use the light correctly as described in this manual by positioning it
in a sunny place where sucient sunlight is provided for charging
the battery every day. If you intend to turn o your light, and you do
not want to use it for a while, please make sure that the battery has
sucient charge, and it is not totally discharged. If you would like to
store the light instead of using it, please turn o the light with the ON/
OFF button. In case of a longer storage, please turn on the light once
every month, put it in a sunny place in the morning, and turn it o at
dusk. In this case the light can be stored again for another month. It
may decrease the life span of the battery if the light is stored for a longer
period with a totally discharged battery, moreover it can damage the
battery!
ATTENTION! The light sensor switches o the light even at night if it
receives high luminosity lighting from above! Do not place your light in
a position where other light sources can hinder its operation (e.g. do not
place the light below high luminosity street light)!

PRODUCT INSTALLATION AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please pay attention to place your light in a non-shaded place with
sucient sunshine provided for its operation.
Installation of the light:
4 holes are located on the stand of the column
below for xing the light on a horizontal surface.
The distances of the xing holes are shown here:
1. Please care that the horizontal surface you are about
to x your light on should be levelled correctly. It is
recommended to position the light on its nal place, then
mark the 4 locations of the holes.
2. After marking the locations of the holes, remove the light,
and drill the holes.
3. Push the anchors inside the holes.
4. Place the light on its nal position, and drive in the screws
with a screwdriver.
5. Remove the Silicone plug from the upper part of the
column, and pay attention not to lose the item further on.
Place the allen key in the hole like shown above, and gently
press the hidden ON/OFF button shortly one time. The
light turns on (in daylight conditions the light sensor turns
o the light, which will turn on again at dusk).
6. Place the Silicone plug on the hole correctly.

Operation of the light:
1. Charging by solar energy will start automatically during daytime.
2. The light sensor turns on your light at dusk, which will shine in default
mode. You can customize the operation of your light with the 2.4G
remote control.
3. In early morning the light sensor turns o the light (in case you did not
choose time-controlled operation (see chapter “ Functions of the 2.4G
touchscreen remote control” below).
Functions of the 2.4G touchscreen remote control:
Turn ON the light. By keeping your nger on
the sign for 4 seconds you can activate default
mode.
Turn OFF the light
Warm white light color (with 3000K minimum).
By keeping your nger on the mark, a
continuous decrease of color temperature is
applicable, if cold white was set up before as light color.
Cold white light color (with 6500K maximum). By keeping your
nger on the mark, a continuous increase of color temperature is
applicable, if warm white was set up before as light color.
Increase applied power (by keeping your nger on the mark the
luminosity continuously increases to the maximum)
Decrease applied power (by keeping your nger on the mark the
luminosity continuously decreases to the minimum)
Set up time-controlled operation - 4-hour operation after being
turned on by light sensor
Set up time-controlled operation - 8-hour operation after being
turned on by light sensor
RGB light color panel. By touching the colored circle
the light will turn its color according to the color
tapped on the screen. By keeping your nger on the
color circle, and moving your nger round and round
continuous adjustment of the light color is applicable.

ATTENTION!
Time-controlled operation increases the life span of the battery. It is
recommended to use the time control functions, or to turn o the light
by the remote control if you do not need the lights to shine (e.g. at late
night or break of dawn).
If you keep your nger for 4 seconds on the ON signal, the light switches
to default mode (cold white light color, maximum power).
You can control 50 lights at the same time with the 2.4G remote control
in 25 m radius (considering no obstacles in the area, and sucient
charge in remote control’s batteries).
The batteries supplied for the remote control are recommended to be
changed for rechargeable batteries once they reach the end of their life
span. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION: THE STAND-BY MODE OF THE REMOTE
CONTROL, AS WELL AS THE REGULAR USE OF THE REMOTE CONTROL
CONSUMES A DECENT AMOUNT OF ENERGY. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO
REMOVE THE BATTERIES FROM THE REMOTE-CONTROL UNIT ONCE
YOU CUSTOMIZED, AND SET UP YOUR LIGHT CORRECTLY, STORE THEM
SEPARATELY, AND ONLY PUT THEM BACK IN THE REMOTE CONTROL
WHEN YOU NEED THE REMOTE CONTROL!
The light blinks 2 times when it receives any of the time-controlled
operation commands.
It is recommended to reduce the power of the light in case of constantly
cloudy, rainy, overcast, cold weather days, if longer operation is needed
during night-time.
If the light does not receive the commands of the remote-control unit,
please restart the light system. You can do it by clicking the main ON/
OFF button 2 times (turning OFF and ON the light) located at the top part
of the column inside, like it is described above in chapter “Installation of
the light ” (paragraph 5). If the light still does not react on the commands
of the remote control, please change the batteries in the remote control
since the cause could be discharged or faulted batteries.
To maximize the discharge time of your light, and preserve its good
aesthetical outlook, please follow the instructions given in “Cleaning
instructions” (please nd this chapter below). PLEASE PAY EXTRA
ATTENTION TO THE RIGHT CLEANING METHOD OF THE POLYCARBONATE
PARTS (DOME)!

USER INSTRUCTIONS, INFORMATION
1. After receiving your light, please open the light’s box gently with paying
attention not to cause harm to the light and its parts.
2. Before starting to use your light, please make sure that there are no
visible damages on the light and its parts.
3. If you observe breaking, crack, fracture on the light or on its parts,
please do not use the product, but contact us for replacement.
4. Please do not apply strong physical force on the product that can
damage the light or its parts. Non-ordinary use of the product results
the loss of product warranty.
5. Please keep the box, the packaging material, and the content out of the
reach of children, and pets. There are small objects among the parts
of the light, which children or pets can ingest, or can cause harm to
themselves with.
6. Please do not disassemble the light, do not bend the light, or apply
physical stress on the light. Please follow the user manual’s instructions
for installation, and operation.
7. Do not expose the light to higher heat than natural caused by weather
changes. Excessive heat may damage more constituents of the light.
8. Do not expose the light to continuous high- or low-pressure water ow,
even if you intend to clean your light. The IP65 protection does not mean
you can put the light in water, or you can wash the light with continuous
water stream. The next chapter declares the right method of cleaning.
9. Please always contact Malatech Water, Ltd, or a professional appointed
by our company if you intend to disassemble the light, remove any
of its parts, or service the light. Service attempts made by users are
prohibited, and result the loss of product warranty.
In case of poor daytime light conditions (continuously overcast, cloudy
weather throughout multiple days, low sunshine hours in wintertime)
the light recognizes low battery voltage, and switches o automatically
to prevent the battery from damage, and to maximize the life cycle of
the battery. Whenever the charge of the battery is sucient for safe
operation, the light turns on in the dark. The process is automatic,
interaction by the user is prohibited. Besides that, the light applies an
eco-mode when the battery level is low but sucient for operation. In
this case the light will shine at a dimmed mode.
AUTOMATIC BATTERY PROTECTION

For preserving the aesthetical outlook, and maintaining the maximum
functionality, and eciency of your light, cleaning is recommended from
time to time. Since the light is operated by solar energy, keeping the solar
panel clean & free of dust is key-essential to ensure its eciency, and
maximize discharging time. Please follow the instructions below when
cleaning your light:
1. Please always use a suitable, soft, and damp towel for cleaning the solar
panel
2. Apply the towel with higher water content for the rst time at each
cleaning procedure to remove the majority of dust preferably with one
movement.
3. After washing the towel in continuous water stream to remove the
accumulated dust, squeeze the water out of the towel, and remove the
remainder of dust with the towel gently from the surface of the solar
panel if necessary. Care to avoid scratching the surface of the solar
panel.
4. If you observe scaling, or other accumulated dirt on the surface of the
solar panel, please only use a chemical or natural enzymatic based
agent for cleaning which is recommended for solar panel cleaning by
its manufacturer.
5. Cleaning of the plastic and metal parts of the light body can be executed
easily, but attention is needed to avoid scratching of the surfaces.
6. Cleaning the dome which protects the LED group from external eects
also requires cautious approach for cleaning to avoid scratching. Please
apply chapter 1)-4) above for the dome as it is written in case of the
solar panel.
CARE! POLYCARBONATE DOMES ARE EXTREMELY HIT-RESISTANT BUT
THEY ARE NOT SCRATCH-RESISTANT, MOREOVER THEY ARE VERY
SENSITIVE FOR SCRATCHING. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO PARAGRAPH
2) IN THIS CHAPTER!
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) sign
means that every electrical, and electronic wastes must be
collected, and treated separately. According to The Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE
Directive), the European Community Directive 2012/19/
EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
which, together with the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU lights,
and light bodies are electrical, and electronical wastes, and cannot be
disposed, and treated together with municipal waste. Since they require
special treatment, these wastes can only be handled to organizations, and
companies authorized to treat these kinds of wastes. Whenever your light
comes to the end of its life cycle, please cooperate with treating your waste
as written above, we can help you in that:
According to the local government act 197/2014 (VII.1) we pay waste
disposal and handling cost in case of each sold units, large light bodies
(any dimensions of the light exceeding 50 cm), and small light bodies (no
dimensions of the light exceeding 50 cm) included. We teamed up with an
intermediary organization ELECTRO-COORD Non-prot, Ltd. for fullling
our obligatory duties, and we also operate a collection point at our facility
where we can take over your wasted lights either those you purchased
from us, or functionally similar light waste that you originally purchased
from elsewhere.
Important information regarding the lights distributed by Malatech
Water, Ltd:
• The Aluminium, steel, plastic (Acrylic, Polycarbonate) parts of the lights
do not cause environmental or health risk either in perfect or damaged
condition of the light.
• The LEDs do not cause environmental or health risk either in perfect
or damaged condition, but according to the laws they are meant to be
electrical, and electronical wastes, which require special disposal, and
treatment.
• The built-in Li-ion batteries, and the photovoltaic panels are dangerous
wastes, which means that you must not dispose the wasted light into the
municipal waste container but you need to keep them separated from
municipal waste, and dispose it at an authorized location only.
• Since our lights are IP65 rated lights, the parts in many places are
waterproof adhesive-bonded, glued. Disassembling the light is

prohibited by users. Please let certied specialists do this job instead,
and handle your wasted light preferably in a perfect, non-damaged
condition.

Despite all of our products are high-end premium quality, and they
go through multiple quality & aesthetical check procedures during
production, and one last check procedure is performed by us for quality,
functionality, aesthetics, package accessories content before packaging
for the customer, the lights are technical equipment made by humans,
which means some may go wrong at our customers during using them,
or may get hurt aesthetically because of a transportation failure when
delivering the order. In case you encounter any problems with your
purchased light, please follow the instructions below:
1. Our company usually accepts photos as proof of aesthetical damage
caused by courier transportation at order delivery. In case you
experience external damage on the product, please, if possible take
photos of the damage immediately, and send it to us to service@
malatechsolar.com as soon as possible. Please always highlight your
order no. in your e-mail, and send the scanned version of your invoice
as an image or pdf le for us being able to send you the replacement
in due course.
2. If you experience any operational troubles during the warranty period
of your light, please contact us by e-mail at service@malatechsolar.
com. Please always highlight your order no. in your e-mail, and send the

company accepts a detailed description with preferably a simple short

warranty terms and services for its products during the warranty period

If you can do the video, please attach in low resolution to your e-mail,
or upload it to a free le sharing platform, and send us the link. We
examine your case as soon as possible, and contact you with a solution.
We either can x your problem remotely, identify the wrong setup, and
help you address it, or we identify the failed component. In the latter
case, we send you a replacement for that part, if the component can be
replaced by the customer, and do not require service. If we determine
that the light has a technical issue to be addressed at the service,
according to our decision, there could be 2 ways to go:
• We either decide that the light cannot be repaired economically, and we
supply you a brand-new product, in this case you have no further action
needed to be done, we inform you about the details of the delivery. The
process takes 3-5 working days (+ transportation time 6-10 working
days) if the product is on stock. If the product is not on stock the process
takes longer period, but in this case, we are in continuous contact with
our customer, and provide information about the delivery status.
• Or we decide to call back the product for service, and x the problem.
For this scenario, we tried to make the process for our customers as
simple, and eas y as possible: we have a contrac t with our courier (FedEx-
TNT) for returning the goods to us for service. In this case you just need
to pack the products in a box caring to ll the void spaces with the
necessary elements to prevent damage during transportation, close &
seal the box safely, and wait for the call of the courier driver. Although
not obligatory, we recommend you to keep the box of the product with
the original packaging material, it could make it easier for you if service
is needed. Please care to pack every content in the box, all accessories
you received with your light. Once you handled the box to the courier,
we take care about the rest for you: once the service of your product is
done, we send it back to you, or if the problem cannot be xed, we send
you a new product. All the above written are free of charge for you,
our company takes care about all the expenses during the warranty
period.
Basic warranty terms:
1. Warranty period / scope
With the warranty, our company guarantees that the product does not
have any material or workmanship defects at the time of the purchase.
The warranty period varies between 1-3 years from the date of

purchase depending on product. The warranty period for each product
is dened in the specication sheet of the product. Our product
warranties are valid in the European Union, Great Britain, Switzerland,
and Norway
2. Required documents for warranty claims
Warranty is only valid for all of our products once the original invoice,
or the copy of the original invoice of the purchase is presented by our
customer. Our company accepts scanned image or pdf versions of the
invoice sent by e-mail.
3. Addressing a warranty claim
Warranty claims must be addressed within the warranty period.
The warranty starts on the date of the rst purchase according to
the original invoice. We reserve the right to refuse the warranty claim
if the proof of purchase is missing or incomplete.
4. Exclusions of warranty
Warranty claims are refused in the event of damage caused by:
• abusive or improper treatment,
• environmental inuences (heat, overvoltage, dust etc.),
• abusing the safety precautions applicable to the device,
• damage caused by improper use of the product neglecting the
operating instructions
• damage caused by external force (e.g. blow, push, fall),
• interventions that were not carried out by our service, or a service
authorized by our company
• unauthorized repair attempts,
• changes made to the item
• damage due to improper packaging that is not safe for transportation
(excluding the rst transportation of the product which is organized
by our company, please read instructions above for damages caused
by courier when completing the order)
Please always read the user manual carefully for each product you
purchase from us before using it, and follow the instructions.
