Safety Instructions
Electrical Requirements
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electrical
shock by providing an escape wire for the electrical current.
This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an
outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock.
Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely
understood or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded.
Electrical Connection
• There is no power on the exterior control panel of the Marshall Fridge. The switches do not light up; the knobs and
jacks are aesthetic only.
• Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third ground prong from the power cord supplied. For personal
safety, this appliance must be properly grounded.
• The MF-110-XMC model requires a 110 Volt AC. The MF-220-XMC model requires a 220 Volt AC. Have the wall outlet
and circuit checked by a qualified electrician to make sure the outlet is properly grounded. When a standard 2-prong
wall outlet is encountered, it is customer’s responsibility and obligation to have it replaced with a properly grounded
3-prong wall outlet. For voltage and outlet style please refer to our website www.marshallfridge.com.
• The cord should be secured behind the unit and not left exposed or dangling to prevent accidental injury.
• Never unplug the unit by pulling the power cord. Always grip the plug firmly and pull straight out from the receptacle.
Repair or replace immediately all power cords that have become frayed or otherwise damaged. Do not use a cord that
shows cracks or abrasion damage along its length or at either end.
• When moving the unit, be careful not to damage the power cord.

• It is recommended that a separate circuit, serving only your refrigerator be provided. Use receptacles
that cannot be turned off by a switch or pull chain.
• Do not connect or disconnect the electric plug when your hands are wet.
• Unplug the refrigerator or disconnect power before cleaning or servicing. Failure to do so can result in
electrical shock or death.
• Do not attempt to repair or replace any part of your refrigerator unless it is specifically recommended in this manual.
All other servicing should be referred to a qualified technician.
• Risk of fire or explosion. Flammable refrigerant used. Do not use mechanical devices to defrost refrigerator.
Do not puncture refrigerant tubing.
• To ensure proper ventilation, the front of the unit must be completely unobstructed. Choose a well-ventilated area
with temperatures above 60°F (16°C) and below 90°F (32°C).
• The unit must be installed in an area protected from the weather or other external conditions, such as wind, rain, water
spray or drips.
• The refrigerator should not be located next to ovens, grills or other sources of high heat.
• The refrigerator must be installed with all electrical, water and drain connections in accordance with the state
and local codes. A standard electrical supply (115 V AC only, 60 Hz), properly grounded in accordance with the
National Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances is required. For voltage and outlet style please refer
to our website www.marshallfridge.com.
• Do not kink or pinch the power supply cord of refrigerator.
• The fuse (or circuit breaker) size should be 15 amperes.
• Make sure that the pipes are not pinched, kinked or damaged during installation.
• If you use the drainage container, you MUST set the Drain Select switch to OFF or the water can overflow
from the drainage container.
• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those
recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not damage the refrigerator circuit.
• Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of appliance, unless they are
of the type recommended by the manufacturer.

Installation Instructions
Before Using Your Unit
Remove the exterior and interior packaging.
Before connecting the unit to the power source, let it stand upright for approximately 2 hours. This will reduce the
possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system from handling during transportation.
Installing Your Unit
This appliance is designed to be free standing only, and should not be recessed or built-in.
Location
Remove exterior and interior packaging; wipe the outside thoroughly with a soft dry cloth and the inside with a damp,
lukewarm cloth. Avoid placing the unit in a narrow recess or near any heat source, direct sunlight, or moisture. Let air
circulate freely around the unit. Keep the rear of the refrigerator 5 inches away from the wall.
Follow Below Steps Carefully:
1) Select a place with a level floor.
2) Allow 5 inches of space between the back of the refrigerator and any adjacent wall.
3) Avoid direct sun and heat. Direct sunlight may affect the coating. Heat sources nearby will cause higher electricity
consumption.
4) Avoid damp places. Too much moisture in the air will cause frost to form very quickly on the evaporator, and your
refrigerator will have to be defrosted more frequently.
5) Plug the unit into an exclusive, properly installed-grounded wall outlet. Do not under any circumstances cut or
remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Any questions concerning power and/or grounding should be
directed to a certified electrician or an authorized call center. For voltage and outlet style please refer to our website

6) After plugging the appliance into a wall outlet, allow the unit to cool down for 2-3 hours before placing food in the
refrigerator and freezer compartments.

Using Your Ice Cube Tray
• Recommended thermostat setting for ice making is position 5.
• Fill 2/3 of the ice cube tray with cold water or with any liquid suitable for freezing
and place the tray on the bottom of the chiller compartment to freeze properly.
• Dry the tray; otherwise it may stick to the bottom of the chiller.
• The best method to get ice cubes out of the tray is to hold the tray under cold tap
water for a second.
• To eject the ice cubes from the tray, place over the ice bucket and twist slightly.
Freezer Compartment
• This compartment is designed for production of ice cubes and short-term storage (3-4 days) of some commercially
frozen foods. The temperature in this compartment does not get cold enough to freeze food safely for long periods
and works best when the food is already frozen.
• The chiller door is susceptible to breaking due to excessive ice buildup. This part is not covered under your warranty.
Defrost when the ice reaches 1/4 inch of thickness.

Operating Instructions
Setting the Temperature Control
• The temperature control panel is located on the upper part of the refrigerator. The first time you turn on the unit,
set the temperature control to “5”.
• The range of the temperature control is from position “0” to “5”. After 24 to 48 hours, adjust the temperature control
to the setting that best suits your needs. Level 3 is recommended.
• To turn off the refrigerator change the temperature control to “0”.
Important Note
Turning the temperature control to “0” position stops the cooling cycle but it
doesn’t shut off. If the unit is unplugged, has lost power, or it is turned off,
you must wait 3 to 5 minutes before restarting the refrigerator.
If you attempt to try and restart prior to completion, the unit will not start.
Reversing the Door Swing of Your Appliance
Your refrigerator is built with a reversible door. You have the choice of either opening it from the left or the right side.
In order to reverse the opening direction of your door, please follow these simple instructions.

• Remove the hinge cover (1) and unscrew upper hinge screw (2). Remove upper hinge (3).
• Lie the unit down on the floor for support
• Remove the door leg (4 & 7) and unscrew screws (6), remove lower hinge (5).

• Change the position of lower hinge (5) to the opposite side of the appliance, locate and support the door onto the
lower hinge (5), replace screws (6) and adjustable foot (4 & 7), align door and replace the upper hinge (3) and replace
screws (2).
• Fit the hinge cover (1).
Care and Maintenance
Marshall Fridge Exterior Care
Use a dry cloth to dust off fret cloth fabric, very gently. Use a damp cloth for metal surfaces.
Defrosting Your Unit
• Defrosting of your refrigerator should take place whenever ice build-up inside the freezer compartment reaches
1/4 inch of thickness. Set the thermostat dial to “0” position.
• To speed up the defrosting process, remove all frozen foods from the freezer section. Leaving the door partially ajar
for a short period of time will also speed up the process.
• You must remember to close the refrigerator door before the defrost cycle terminates and normal operating
conditions resume automatically. The drip tray should be in position directly below the freezer compartment to catch
condensed water during defrosting.
• Never use sharp or pointed instruments to remove ice from the freezer compartment. The freezer compartment
contains refrigerated gas lines and if accidentally punched/pierced, will render the refrigerator inoperable and void the
manufacturer’s warranty.
Failure to unplug the unit could result in electrical shock or personal injury.
Cleaning Your Unit
Before proceeding with cleaning and maintenance operations, make sure the power line of the unit is disconnected.
• Turn the temperature control to “0”, unplug the unit, and remove the food, shelves, and trays.
• Wash the inside surfaces with a warm water and baking soda. The solution should be about 2 tablespoons of baking
soda to a quart of water.
• Wash the shelves and trays with a mild detergent solution.
• The outside of the unit should be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.
• Do not use solvent-based cleaning agents or abrasives on the interior. These cleaners may damage or discolor
the interior.

Power Failure
Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect your refrigerator temperatures. However,
you should minimize the number of door openings while the power is off. During power failures of longer duration, take
steps to protect your food by placing ice on top of packages.
Vacation Time
For short vacation periods, leave the control knob at its normal setting. During longer absences:
(a) Remove all food.
(b) Disconnect the power cord from electrical outlet.
(c) Clean the refrigerator thoroughly.
(d) Leave door open to avoid possible formations of condensate, mold or odors.
If You Move
• Remove or securely fasten down all loose items inside the unit. To avoid damaging the leveling legs, turn them all the
way into the base.
• The refrigerator should be in the upright position during transportation.
• Tape the door if you judge necessary.
Energy Saving Tips
• The unit should be located in the coolest area of the room, away from heat producing appliances, and out of
direct sunlight.
• Cool down food to room temperature before placing in the refrigerator.
• Wrap food properly, and wipe containers dry before placing them in the refrigerator.
• Organize and label food to reduce door openings and extended searches. Remove as many items as needed at
one time, and close the door as soon as possible.

Troubleshooting Guide

4) Loud noise The rattling noise may come from the flow of the refrigerant,
which is normal.
As each cycle ends, you may hear gurgling sounds caused by the flow
of refrigerant in your unit.
Contraction and expansion of the inside walls may cause popping and
crackling noises.
The unit is not leveled.
5) The door will not close properly The unit is not leveled.
The door was reversed and not properly installed.
The gasket is dirty or bent.
The shelves, bins, or baskets are out of position.

Marshall Fridge Warranty
Who is covered
This warranty is extended only to the original end-use purchaser or the person receiving the product as a gift, and shall
not be extended to any other person or transferee.
What is covered/for how long
For a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment to the original end-use purchaser, XMC Branded Products Inc.
(“XMC”) warrants that this product, when delivered to you in new condition, in original packaging, from a reseller
authorized by XMC and used in normal conditions, is free from any mechanical defects.
What is not covered
This warranty does not cover defects resulting from improper or unreasonable use or maintenance; failure to follow
operating instructions; accident; excess moisture; insects; lightning; power surges; connections to improper voltage
supply; unauthorized alteration or modification of original condition; damages caused by inadequate packing or
shipping procedures; product that requires modification or adaptation to enable it to operate in any country other than
the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by
these modifications; and products purchased from unauthorized dealers.
What we will do
During the warranty period, we will, at our sole option, repair or replace (using new or refurbished replacement parts)
any defective parts within a reasonable period of time and free of charge.
What we will not do
Pay shipping, insurance or transportation charges, or any import fees, duties, taxes and/or similar or ancillary fees
or charges.
What you must do to obtain Limited Warranty Service
Return product, with proof of purchase from an authorized XMC dealer, using the following procedures:
1. Contact XMC for specific return and shipping instructions.
2. Label and ship the product, freight prepaid, to the address provided by XMC.
3. Place any necessary return authorization number prominently on the outside of the carton. Cartons not bearing a
return authorization number, where required, will be refused.
Other conditions
The provisions of this limited warranty are in lieu of any other warranty, whether expressed or implied, written or
oral, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. XMC maximum liability shall not
exceed the actual purchase price paid by you for the product. In no event shall XMC be liable for special, incidental,
consequential, or indirect damages howsoever caused including without limitation the replacement of equipment and
property. This warranty is void if the label bearing the serial number has been removed or defaced.
Other legal rights
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you also may have other rights that vary from state to state or
country to country. Some places do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of incidental
or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

Die Zimmertemperatur ist wärmer als gewöhnlich.
Es wurde eine größere Menge Lebensmittel in die Einheit gegeben.
Die Türe wird zu häufig geöffnet.

Der Temperaturregler ist nicht richtig eingestellt.

Die angemessenen Abstände wurden nicht eingehalten.
3) Vibration Überprüfen Sie, ob die Einheit eben steht.
4) Laute Geräusche Das klappernde Geräusch kann vom Strom des Kältemittels
verursacht werden, was ganz normal ist.
Gegen Ende jedes Durchlaufs hören Sie eventuell ein Gurgeln, das vom
Strom des Kältemittels in der Einheit verursacht wird.
Durch die Kontraktion und Ausdehnung der Innenwände kann es zu Knall-

Stromausfall

Pflege und Wartung
Äußere Pflege des Marshall-Kühlschranks
Sehr vorsichtig mit einem trockenen Lappen abstauben. Metalloberflächen mit einem feuchten Lappen reinigen.
Abtauen des Kühlschranks
• Der Kühlschrank sollte abgetaut werden, wann immer das Eis im Tiefkühlfach
1/4 Zolle der Dicke erreicht hat. Stellen Sie den Thermostat auf „0“.
• Um den Abtauprozess zu beschleunigen nehmen Sie alle gefrorenen Lebensmittel aus den Tiefkühlfach. Sie können
den Prozess auch beschleunigen, indem Sie die Türe eine kurze Zeit lang teilweise offen lassen.
• Denken Sie daran, die Kühlschranktür vor Ende des Abtauzyklus zu schließen, und die normalen Betriebsbedingungen
werden automatisch wiederhergestellt. Die Tropfschale sollte sich direkt unter dem Tiefkühlfach befinden, um
während des Abtauens das Kondenswasser aufzufangen.

• Verwenden Sie keine lösemittelhaltigen Reinigungsmittel oder Scheuermittel im Inneren des Kühlschranks. Solche

Einstellen des Temperaturreglers
• Das Temperaturregler-Bedienfeld befindet sich im oberen Teil des Kühlschranks. Wenn Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal
einschalten, stellen Sie den Temperaturregler auf „5“ ein.
• Die Temperatur lässt sich in einem Bereich von „0“ bis „5“ einstellen. Nach 24 bis 48 Stunden können Sie den
Temperaturregler auf die Ihren Bedürfnissen entsprechende Temperatur einstellen. Empfohlen wird Position 3.
• Zum Abschalten des Kühlschranks stellen Sie den Temperaturregler auf „0“.
Wichtiger Hinweis
Wird der Temperaturregler auf „0“ gestellt, wird der Kühlzyklus zwar gestoppt,
doch der Kühlschrank wird nicht abgeschaltet. Falls die Stromversorgung des Geräts
unterbrochen wurde bzw. falls das Gerät ausgesteckt oder abgeschaltet wurde,
müssen Sie 3 bis 5 Minuten warten, bevor Sie den Kühlschrank neu starten.
Falls Sie versuchen das Gerät eher neu zu starten, wird es nicht starten.
Änderung der Türrichtung des Kühlschranks
Dieses Gerät wurde mit einer wechselbaren Türe gebaut. Sie haben die Wahl, den Kühlschrank entweder von links oder
von rechts zu öffnen. Um die Türrichtung des Kühlschranks zu ändern, befolgen Sie bitte diese einfachen Anweisungen.

Installation

Verwendung der Eiswürfelschale
• Die empfohlene Thermostat-Einstellung zum Herstellen von Eiswürfeln ist Position 5.
• Füllen Sie die Eiswürfelschale zu 2/3 mit kaltem Wasser oder einer beliebigen
gefrierfähigen Flüssigkeit und geben Sie die Eiswürfelschale dann zum Gefrieren in
den unteren Bereich des Tiefkühlfachs.
• Trocknen Sie die Schale ab, sonst klebt sie eventuell im Tiefkühlfach fest.
• Die beste Methode zum Lösen der Eiswürfel aus der Schale ist es die Schale eine
Sekunde lang unter kaltes Leitungswasser zu halten.
• Zum Lösen der Eiswürfel halten Sie die Schale über den Eiswürfelbehälter und
drehen Sie sie leicht.
Tiefkühlfach
• Dieses Fach ist für das Herstellen von Eiswürfeln und die kurzfristige Lagerung (3-4 Tage) einiger Tiefkühlprodukte
gedacht. Die Temperatur in diesem Fach ist nicht kalt genug für das sichere langfristige Einfrieren von Lebensmitteln.
Das Fach eignet sich am besten für bereits tiefgekühlte Lebensmittel.
• Die Kühltür ist bruchanfällig aufgrund von übermäßiger Eisbildung. Dieses Teil wird von der Garantie nicht gedeckt.
Tauen Sie die Tür ab, wenn das Eis 1/4 der Türdicke erreicht.
