Theinputswitchselectsfromsixdifferent
sourcesoryoucanchoosetolistentoeitherof
twotaperecordersatthepushofa button.
2.PRECISIONSTEPATTENUATOR
VOLUMECONTROL

tenuator.Itisa thirty-twostep,70dBrangecon-
trolwithunheardoftrackingaccuracywithin1
dB.Theextremeaccuracyisobtainedthrough
specialelectronicallycontrolledresistanceele-
menttrimming.Theaccuracyandquietoperation
aremaintainedbecausetheswitchcommutator
touchesonlytheswitchcontactpadandnotthe
precisionresistorelements.

Powertotheentirestereosystemcanbecontroll-
edfromeitherthefrontpanelpowerswitchorthe
turntable'spowerswitch.A currentsensing
relay
connectedtotheturntableACpoweroutletsis
controlledbytheturntablepowerswitch.The
relay,inturn,controlstheACpowertothe

mainderofthesystem.

nel,independently.Eachtonecontrolisa
separateelevenpositionswitchconcentrically
mounted.Eachstepisconnectedtocarefully
selectedresistorsandcapacitorstogivethe
precisefrequencycurveshape.Becausethetone
circuitcomponentpartsarenotincontactwith
theswitchsurfaces,asinordinarycontinuously
variablerotarycontrols,theyneverchange,never
getnoisyandprovideexact,repeatabilityset-
tings.

nelindependentlyforstereoimagingwithout
changingoverallstereovolumeintheroom.While
naturalbalanceisatthecenterofthecontrol;ad-
justment
toeitherrightorleftcompensatesfor
programvariationsorroomacousticdifferences.
10.LISTENTOYOURQUIETRECORDS,QUIETLY
Anyunwantednoise(hiss,rumble,fry,etc.)canbe
reducedwiththefilterswitch.Itallowsthereduc-
tionoflowfrequencynoiseandhighfrequency
