The C45 is the perfect choice for those who wish to enjoy multi-channel audio in addition
to pure stereo. While the C45 contains no decoders, two sets of 6-channel inputs enable use
with source components, such as DVD players, that contain built-in decoders for the latest
formats, including DVD-A, SACD, Dolby Digital, DTS, Blu-ray, HD-DVD, etc. Each 6-channel
input may be assigned to any of the eight source inputs.
The C45 Audio Control Center was designed for the music lover. Ultrashort signal paths
and use of sealed, gas-filled switching nodes prevent preamp noise from entering the
signal path.
Volume for each of the six channels is controlled individually by a precision attenuator,
part of a sophisticated 2-stage circuit design, to ensure accuracy, maximize dynamic range
and eliminate the effects of mechanical wear.
Other source inputs include a high-performance phono stage for your turntable. An
expansion slot enables internal installation of an optional AM/FM stereo tuner module
by an Authorized Dealer. The tuner module delivers the same high-quality AM/FM
performance as McIntosh component tuners.

SELECTABLE INPUT TITLES
The displayed name of each input of
the C45 may be changed to match the
available sources. Names are chosen
from a selection of 14 different titles.
Additionally, the sensitivity for each input
is adjustable to enable a uniform volume
level between source components.
VOLUME LEVEL
Master volume control for all channels
is achieved through a sophisticated
optical encoder. Utilizing light pulses
ensures accuracy and eliminates
effects of mechanical wear.
BASS AND TREBLE CONTROLS
Precision tone shaping circuitry is
provided to enable adjustment of the
acoustic balance of the sound. A bypass
switch completely removes the tone
controls from the audio signal path.
WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL
An IR remote control is included.
Remote keypads and external sensors
are available.
HEADPHONE JACK
A high quality headphone amplifier
is built in for private listening.
