PREPARATION
The barbecue operates with liquid gas cylinders (butane/propane) weighing from 3 to 5
kg. The rubber gas tube and the calibrated regulator can be purchased from your nearest
gas product retailer.
IMPORTANT: only use reducers calibrated to the pressure established by current
regulations in the country where the barbecue is to be used. Refer to the table provided on
the barbecue itself. It is strictly prohibited to use adjustable pressure reducers.
By purchasing this gas barbecue, you have acquired a top quality
product. The device meets European Union safety standards
in compliance with the European Gas Standard (EN498).
21

INSTALLATION
Make sure that the reducer seal is still present and is not damaged. Change the seal every
time you replace the gas cylinder.
Screw the pressure reducer onto the cylinder, turning it in an anticlockwise direction.
Tighten it hermetically.
The case tube should be connected to the pressure reducer outlet connection as described
below:
The other end of the gas tube should be secured ¿rmly to the barbecue. It should be
directly engaged and secured by means of a speci¿c metal clamp, or screw the gas tube
connection onto the barbecue connection. Place the cylinder to the side of the barbecue,
not beneath it, making sure that you keep it away from sources of heat and place it in a
safe position.
Gas leak test:
During the gas leak test, remove all inÀammable sources from the surrounding area and
avoid all actions that could cause ¿res.
Do not smoke!
Never carry out gas leak tests when the burner is lit!
Always perform the test outdoors.
Check the gas tube, making sure that it is not split, cut or scratched
Check the gas tube expiry date and replace it if necessary.
Do not use the barbecue if the tube is damaged.
Make sure that the gas tube does not develop bends that could obstruct the regular gas
Àow during use of the barbecue.
Make sure that the gas tube is not under pressure at any point and that it does not touch
any part of the hot barbecue.
Close the grill taps.
Open the cylinder valve and make sure that there are no leaks. Pour a solution of 50%
water and 50% liquid soap on all the connections. If you observe bubbles, this means that
there is a leak.
The barbecue must not be used until the source of the leak has been repaired!
To stop the leak, you need to tighten all the connection points.
Close the cylinder gas tap as soon as you smell gas!
Perform the gas leak test every time you connect or replace the gas cylinder or tube.
22
The gas tube should be connected to the reducer and secured by means
of a speci¿c metal clamp. Tighten it hermetically. Or
Screw the outlet connector onto the pressure reducer in a clockwise di-
rection, connect the gas tube to the connection and secure it by means
of a speci¿c metal clamp. Tighten it hermetically. Or
Screw the gas tube connection in in an anticlockwise direction.
Tighten it hermetically.

How to replace the cylinder
When connecting or replacing the cylinder, make sure that:
- The operation takes place outdoors.
- There are no naked Àames in the vicinity.
- The gas tap has been closed.
- The regulator seal is suitable and new
- The gas tube is not under pressure or twisted and does not touch any part of the hot
barbecue.
- Only pressure regulators compliant with current laws have been used on the cylinder.
- The gas tube is no more than 1.5 metres long
Note: always make sure that there are no leaks from the connector by using soapy water
on all the connections.
Lighting instructions
Place the barbecue on a Àat surface, far from inÀammable objects such as wooden fences
or overhanging tree branches. Do not use the barbecue in enclosed areas! Once lit, do not
move the barbecue or leave it unattended. Keep the barbecue out of the reach of children
and animals. Bear in mind that hot cooking fat could drip out of the barbecue. The bar-
becue gets very hot during use. Use tongs and gloves to handle the cover and other parts.
Make sure that the device has cooled down completely before putting it away.
Attention: the cover must be open when lighting the burner!
Depending on the model, the burner is lit as follows:
- Open the control valve on the gas cylinder, press down the knob on the barbecue control
panel and turn it in an anticlockwise direction until reaching a central position, then press
the ignition button several times, so that it goes click. Or

becue control panel and turn it in an anticlockwise direction until you hear a click. After
lighting the burner, you can also light the other burners in order, by pressing down and
turning the knob to the central position.
Warning: if the burner does not light, close the knob by turning it in a clockwise direc-
tion, then close the gas cylinder valve. Wait ¿ve minutes before trying to light the burner
again.

Storage
The gas cylinder must be closed and stored outside, in a well ventilated area. When us-

burner blockages before using it. Follow the cleaning instructions for a safer barbecue.
If the barbecue is stored outdoors, make sure you remember to check that the area under
the front panel is free from blockages (insects, etc.). This area must be kept free so as to
obstruct combustion and air circulation.
Cleaning instructions
The barbecue is easy to clean. Just follow this useful advice.
- Light the burner for 8-10 minutes so as to burn off the fat residue.
- Let the appliance cool down before continuing.
- The grills should be washed from time to time, soaking them and washing them in soap
and water.
- Wash the internal grill surfaces too, using soap and water. Use a soapy metal brush or
steel wool to remove the most obstinate deposits.
- Periodically check that the burner is not obstructed by insects and spiders, which could
block the gas system, diverting the Àow. Clean the burner very carefully, making sure that
there are no blockages. We recommend using a small brush to clean the internal parts of
the barbecue.
