Connections to be made
From the 16-pin harness:
1. Connect the Red wire to 12-volt accessory power.
2. Connect the Black wire to chassis ground. Also ground the Black wire of the
Hang-Up/Pick-Up switch.
3. Connect the Green wire to the Pink wire of the Hang-Up/Pick-Up switch.
4. Connect the male antenna connector into the radio.
5. Connect the female antenna connector onto the antenna connector from the vehicle.
6. The Gray and White wires will be discussed later in the manual.
Note: Antenna adaptors may be required to connect the AXM-DC-HF
to the vehicle.
Rocker switch installation
1. Drill a 19/32 (15mm) hole in the desired location for the rocker switch.
2. Place the rocker switch into the drilled hole.
3. Connect the 2-pin plug from the rocker switch, to the 2-pin plug of the
AXM-DC-HF harness.
Pairing the AXM-DC-HF
1. Turn the vehicle on.
2. With your Bluetooth enabled cell phone, go into your Bluetooth settings and
search for a device.
3. After the search, “Axxess BT” will show up on your cell phone.
4. Select it and your phone will pair with the AXM-DC-HF.
5. Pairing is complete and you are now able to stream audio.
Caution: Metra recommends disconnecting the negative battery terminal before
beginning any installation. All accessories, switches, and especially air bag indicator
lights must be plugged in before reconnecting the battery or cycling the ignition.
*Note: Refer also to the instructions included with the aftermarket radio.

Failure to follow these instructions carefully and to install the interface as described
could cause harm to the vehicle or to safety systems on the vehicle. Interference with
certain safety systems could cause harm to persons as well. If you have any questions

Answering phone calls
1. When a call is coming in, the radio will need to be on the desired
FM frequency chosen.
2. When a call is coming in, press the answer button once to pick up the call.
3. When you are finished with the call, press the button again to hang up and return
to normal operation.
Note: (1) If you are streaming music when a call is coming in, the call will
interrupt the music.
(2) If you are using the radios other mode options, and not streaming audio,
you will not hear the call coming in.
AUX mode
Simply plug in the audio source to the provided 3.5mm or RCA jack(s) and audio
will play over the selected FM frequency.
Note: (1) When AUX mode is in use, Bluetooth mode is disabled.
(2) RDS is not available in AUX mode.
Selecting your FM frequency
There are four FM frequencies to choose from. Grounding the White and Gray wires
in different combinations will set the FM frequency. Below is a flow chart on how to
select you FM frequency.
Using the AXM-DC-HF
1. Make sure a connection is made from your Bluetooth device to the AXM-DC-HF.
2. Select the desired FM frequency on your radio.
3. Select audio to play from your Bluetooth device.
4. At this point audio will start playing through your radio.
Note: All controls except volume must be done from the Bluetooth device.

Conexiones que se deben hacer
Desde el arnés de 16 pins:

Nota: Pueden requerirse adaptadores de antena para conectar el AXM-DC-HF
al vehículo.
Instalación del interruptor basculante
1. Haga un orificio de 19/32 (15 mm) en la ubicación deseada para el
interruptor basculante.
2. Coloque el interruptor basculante en el orificio perforado.
3. Conecte el conector de 2 pins del interruptor basculante al conector de 2 pins
del arnés AXM-DC-HF.
Emparejamiento del AXM-DC-HF
1. Encienda el vehículo.
2. Con su teléfono celular con Bluetooth, vaya a la configuración de Bluetooth y
busque un dispositivo.
3. Después de la búsqueda, aparecerá “Axxess BT” en su teléfono celular.
4. Selecciónelo y su teléfono se emparejará con el AXM-DC-HF.
5. El emparejamiento está completo y ahora ya puede transmitir audio
por streaming.

Responder a las llamadas telefónicas

contestar la llamada.
3. Cuando haya finalizado la llamada, pulse el botón de nuevo para colgar y volver
a la operación normal.
Nota: (1) Si transmite música cuando una llamada está entrando, la llamada se
interrumpa la música.
(2) Si usted está usando los radios otras opciones de modo, y no la
transmisión de audio, no se oirá la llamada entrante.

Modo AUX
Conecte la fuente de audio a la toma (s) de 3,5 mm o RCA proporcionado y el audio
se reproducirá en la frecuencia FM seleccionada.
Nota: (1) Cuando el modo AUX está en uso, el modo Bluetooth está desactivada.
(2) RDS no está disponible en el modo AUX.
Selección de la frecuencia de FM

Uso de la AXM-DC-HF
