2.Introduction
TheDS Vision3000 (DS Vision)systemfromMinicomisanout-of-bandsolution
forthelaststepina digitalsignagenetwork. DS Vision combinesvideo,
stereo/audioandserialfunctionsfordistributingreal-timemultimedia contentfrom
playertomultiplescreens up to600m/2,000ftaway.
TheDS VisionsystemdistributesVideo,AudioandSerialcontroldata froma
singlecontentsourcetoup tothousandsofremotemonitorsoverCAT5/5e/6/7
TwistedPairmedia.
TheDS Visionsystemcanhaveup to10 levelsofcascadewithliterallymillionsof
connectedmonitors.
WiththeDS Visionanadministratorcanremotelyturnthedistributedscreenson
and off, and monitorthemeitherseparatelyorasaunifiedgroup. Thesystemalso
supportsDisplayDataChannel(DDC)signaling, enablingoptimalplayer-screen
configurationforbettervisualexperience.
DependingonthecablelengththeDS Visionbroadcaststhevideoup toresolutions
of1080p HDTVor1920x1440 @60Hz.
DS VisioncomeswithfullRS-232 point-to-point, real-timeserialcommunication
fortheextensionofserialdevicesandplayertoscreencommandand information
transfer. All handshakelinesaresupportedformaximumcompatibilitywithany
serialdevice.

Choosethepresetdistanceclosesttotheactualdistance inmetersbetweenthe
Playerand remotescreen. Thiswillgiveyoua fairlyaccuratetuning,whichcanbe
furtherfinelytunedusingtheotherfunctionsoftheTuning Unit.
Totuneanimage:
1.Scroll toTables
2.Usethearrowkeystobrowsethrough allthepredefinedtables.
3.Whenyoureachthedesiredtable, press theMenukey. MNU=SAVEappearsin
theLCDand thetabledownloads. During downloading theLCDmessageblinks.
4.If thetuningisnotatall satisfactory, selectand downloada differenttable.
5.Oncetheadjustmentissatisfactory, press theMenukeytoscroll tonextfunction.
Note! FortheReceiverDCLboththeconnectedscreensreceivethesametuning
adjustments.
Savingand exiting
Tosaveall settingsintheReceiverL/DCLorLineSplitterunit:
1.Scroll toSave/ESC
2.Press the up arrowtosaveall changesandexitorpress the down arrowto
disregardall changesand exit.
10.DSVisionsystemmanagement
TheDS Visionsystemcomeswitha Serviceutilitytoconfigureandcontrolthe
system. UsetheServiceutilityto:
·Defineup to16 Groupsofmonitors–(aspecificmonitormaybelongto
severalGroups).

ortoGroupsofmonitors.
·Viewsystemtopology andswitchingstatusofeachmonitor.
·Remotelytunea monitor.
·UpgradeeachsystemcomponentfirmwareorFPGA
