Preparations before usage
Startup & Shutdown/Usage notices:
1.Turn the printer power switch to theＩStatus, that is, to turn on the power switch;
2.Turn the printer power switch to theＯStatus, that is, to turn off the power switch;
3.The power supply must be turned off using a power switch. If you directly unplug
the power plug, it can easily damage the printer Internal circuit, resulting in the
loss of printing data;
4.When the power is switched on again, wait for a while (greater than5 Seconds)
Open immediately without interval The power supply is easy to cause failure;
5.Please use the original power supply, otherwise it may reduce the print quality or
damage the printer.
Cable Connection
Connect the power line
1.Confirm that the power switch is in off (O)state.
2.Connect the power adapater to the printer.
3.Connect the power line to the power adapater.
4.Connect the other end of the power line to a nearby socket.
Connect the USB cable
1.Connect the USB cable to the printer.
2.Connect the USB cable to PC host.
3.Turn the power switch to on (I) state.

Folded paper installation
(1) Open the top cover of the machine, press the inlet paper guide rail at the same
time,According to the size of the folded paper, adjust the guide rail spacing.
(2) Put the folded paper into the inlet paper guide rail, and cover the top cover.
(3) Confirm that the printer has detected the paper feeding, and move the paper
suction and normal paper output.
Solution for stuck paper
(1) Facing the front of the machine, pull the upper cap lever forward and lift the upper cap.
(2) Remove the jammed paper from the feedin channel,and check whether the print head
has adhesive or carbon deposition.If yes,clean it with an alcohol cloth,remove the wrinkled
paper and replace it with newpaper .

Bluetooth Pairing and Printing (only valid for printers with Bluetooth)
Bluetooth printer needs to be paired with the main device driving
the printer before working, and the pairing process is initiated by the mai
The general pairing method is as follows:
(1) Turn on the printer .
(2) The main device searches for external Bluetooth device.
(3) If there are multiple external Bluetooth device,select the printer corresponding
to MAC address.(see self-test page for details.)
(4) Enter the initial password “0000”or “1234”.
(5) Complete the pairing.
Please refer to the Bluetooth function description of the main device for the specific
Pairing method.When pairing, the label printer with Bluetooth interface must be on.
Note:During pairing, please do not turn on multiple printers at
the same time, Otherwise you may not be able to judge which
printer was successfully paired.
After successful pairing, other host computers can still be paired with the printer,
and each printer can be paird with up to 8 host computers, If more upper computers
are paired with printers,the host computer paired with the printer at the earliest will
be automatically removed from the pairing list by the printer.At this time,if this host
computer needs to drive the printer for printing,it needs to be paired again.
(For multi-connected Bluetooth only.)
Printer usage tips:
1.To ensure the optimal printing quality of the printer, please use the original power adapter;
2.Clean the printing head regularly or when the printing is not clear, which can ensure the
high-quality printing effect;
3.When changing the paper specifications (including paper thickness, quality), it is
recommended to make a label paper correction;
4.Avoid the use of inferior paper, inferior paper will greatly wear the printer, causing the
printer heating damage;
5.This product with automatic paper suction function, please use the back-end paper
suction way into the paper, open the cover of the paper will cause paper waste.
6.If the quality of the paper is poor and the heating sheet has been cleaned and the printing
effect still cannot be satisfied,The printing concentration can be increased appropriately by
driving it.

1. Windows Driver Installation
Before installing the printer driver, please connect your printer
to the computer and make sure the power switch is turned off.
Insert the Drive disc on the computer and find drvier
file"KCPrinterSetup"
Double c file "KCPrinterSetup" ,Then select language.

Follow the steps below to install.

Click “Finish” to finish driver installation.

2. Printer Setup and Testing
2.1 Setup Printer Properties
Follow the path shown in the above figure to find the "Devices
and Printers", and then click" Devices and Printers", just as
above picture

Right-Click "Label Printer” and then click “Printer
properties” And then, it will show as below picture:
2.2 Printing Test Page
After finishing port configuration, we start to print test page. On
Label Printer “General”:

The test page coming out indicates that the installation is
complete
If the test page is not printed, please check if the port is
selected wrong.
Click “Print Test Page”, the printer will print test page, which
means the printer has
been connected with computer successfully and the port
configuration is correct.

2.3 Other Properties and Function Configuration
You could set the paper specification etc., please refer to the follows：
Select the printer properties, click on "Print preferred page", enter the
page and print settings interface, as shown in the following figure.

Click the Paper Name drop-down box to select the paper size to use.
Click “New” to enter the custom paper interface.

Click “Edit” to enter the label size edit.
Rotate to print in different directions.

Click "Halftone" to enter the color mixing and color setting page.
Click "Advanced" to enter the printer density and printer speed
setting page.

MAC PRINTING SETUP FOR MAC OS
Please insert the included USB into your computer.A flash drive
icon will usually appear on the desktop. If a dialog box does not
appear, open Finder and select the flash drive on the left side of
the window.
Insert the drive disc into the computer,and find the MAC printer
driver file "JK-402A.pkg"as shown in the figure below.

Double click "JK-402A.pkg" to begin to install driver.
Follow the installation steps until you see "The installation was
successful" window

Open "System Preferences" and click on "Printers and
Scanners".
Click "+" to add a new printer.

Click on "JK-402A" (or other model of KINCAN) , and choose
"Select Software" in the drop down menu.
Input "4B-2054A" to search and choose, the click "OK".
Click on "Add" to finish .(if you see a warning windows, click "re
pair" to continue)
