Quick Start Guide

Congratulations on the purchase of the AM437x PoM
Welcome to the AM437x Product on Module (PoM) Quick Start Guide. This guide demonstrates
booting Android on the PoM board.
This Document helps you experience the Android KitKat (4.4.4) release that showcases the power
of the AM437x Cortex®-A9 processor, 3D graphics and more on the AM437x PoM.
Android binaries for the PoM board can be downloaded from here: www.mistralsolutions.com/

The AM437x PoM contains the following:

Default setup (OS boot from microSD card)
Connect the Ethernet cable to the RJ-
45 jack located on the AM437x PoM.
Connect the other end of the cable to
an Internet-enabled Router or Ethernet
switch.

Insert the Micro-SD Card into the
SD card slot of the AM437x PoM as
shown above. The Micro-SD Card Slot is
located below the Camera module on
the PoM. The SD Card needs to be
inserted with the sticker facing up.
Micro- Connect the HDMI Cable to the
AM437X PoM and the other end to an
HDMI Monitor. Please ensure that the
HDMI Monitor is powered separately
through its power cable.

4Connect the power cable to the jack as
shown and plug into an AC power
source
Note: When powering the PoM always
use the supplied power supply or
equivalent model having output voltage
of +5V DC and max output current of
3.0 Amp.

various demos and applications
available on the AM437x PoM!

While the board is booting Linux and an
Android Kitkat, plug the USB Mouse to
the USB Host Port.
5Wait for the Android to boot completely.
Once the Android main screen appears,
unlock the screen by dragging the USB
Mouse over the Screen Lock Icon.
