Magellan®warranty covers the receiver for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. Warranty
repair requires a valid proof of purchase in the form of a purchase sales receipt and an approved RMA
number from a Magellan Customer Service agent. A copy of the credit card statement showing the
store it was purchased from, date item was purchased, and the amount of purchase is an acceptable

A: The eXplorist Pro 10 GPS receiver does not require an external antenna. The receiver contains a
multidirectional patch antenna and a high-sensitivity GPS chipset that provide exceptional GPS
reception with quick acquisition times.
Does the eXplorist Pro 10 GPS receiver have an external antenna option?

A: Yes, the eXplorist Pro 10 GPS receiver is waterproof to IPX7 ratings. The IEC 60529/IPX7 is an European
system of test specification standards for classifying the degrees of protection provided by the
enclosures of electrical equipment. An IPX7 designation means that the unit withstands immersion in
one meter (approx 3 ft.) of still water for up to 30 minutes. Magellan guarantees this grade provided the
battery door and all the jack covers are properly and securely closed. The eXplorist Pro 10 GPS receiver
is not an IPX8 (water-resistant) grade; water-pressure such as washing the unit with running water may
cause damage to the unit and voids warranty.

that is supplied with Windows Mobile®Operating System.

Windows Mobile 6.5 Classic operating system. You can choose from English, Spanish, French, Danish,
Italian, German, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. This
sets the language for Windows Mobile only.
Can I change the language used by the Windows Mobile 6.5 Classic operating

The eXplorist Pro 10 receiver has integrated Bluetooth that you can use to establish cable-free
connections to other Bluetooth devices, such as laser rangefinders or barcode scanners, within a
range of 10 meters.
Using Bluetooth in the eXplorist Pro 10 receiver does not impact GPS performance, but battery
power is consumed faster when there is an active connection to another Bluetooth-enabled device.
What can I use the Bluetooth®capabilities for?

The eXplorist Pro 10 receiver has a tuned GPS patch antenna located at the top of the device. For
optimal GPS reception hold the eXplorist Pro 10, in a vertical, upright position with the antenna
facing the sky.
When collecting point data with the eXplorist Pro 10 receiver, Magellan recommends that you
remain stationary at the point for at least 10 seconds before beginning to log GPS positions. This
allows the GPS receiver to stabilize, and ensures the best possible accuracy.
