Do not spill any liquids into the cabinet or use your monitor

Recommend Use
CAUTION:
For optimum performanc e, allow 20 minutes for warm-up.
Restyoureyes periodically by focusing onan objectatleast
5 feet away. Blink often.
Position the monitor at a 90 angle to windows and other
light sources to minimize glare and re ections.
Clean the LCD monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive
cloth. Avoid using anycleaning solutionorglass cleaner!
Adjustthe monitors brightness, contrast, and sharpness
controls to enhance readability.
Avoid displaying
xed patterns on the monitor for long
periods of time to avoid image persistence (after image
effects).
Get regular eye c hec kups.
Ergonomic s
To realize the maximum ergonomic bene ts, we recommend
the following:
Use the presetSize and Positioncontrols withstandard
signals.
Use the presetColorSetting.
Use non-interlaced signals.
Do not use primary colorblue on a dark background, as
it is dif cultto see and mayproduce eye fatigue due to
insuf cientcontrast.

Switches the poweron/off.

3PICTURE MODE button
Selects the picture mode from[HIGHBRIGHT], [STANDARD],
[sRGB], and [CINEMA]. See page 26.
HIGHBRIGHT: The brightness is maximized.
STANDARD: Factory defaultsetting.
sRGB: Suitable for c olor matching with sRGB-
compliantdevices.
CINEMA: Suitable for viewing movies.
4DISPLAY button
Displays the screeninformation. See page 42. Whenthe remote
controlmode is LOCK, you can set it back to NORMALby
holding down the DISPLAY button for at least 5 seconds (see
page 39).
5SETbutton
Accepts the settings made in the OSD menu.
6MINUS button (-)
Acts as (-) button to decrease the adjustment in the OSDmenu.
When the PIP mode is active, this button moves the sub picture
to the left.
7AUTO SETUP button
Displays the auto setup menu. See pages 26 and 35.
8AUDIO INPUT buttons
Selectthe audio inputfrom[AUDIO1], [AUDIO2], [AUDIO3], and
[HDMI]. Ho wever, note that [VIDEO<S>] and [VIDEO] use
commonsettings. Youcan select[HDMI]only when the video
input source is [RGB1].
9PIP (Picture-in-Picture) buttons
ON/OFFbutton: Switches the PIP orPOP mode on/off.
INPUTbutton: Selects video to be displayed inthe sub
picture.
CHANGE button: Changes the main picture with the sub
picture.

PIP: Picture-in-Picture
The sub picture is displayed withinthe mainpicture.
POP: Picture-out-Picture
The sub picture is displayed to the bottom right of the main
picture.
SIDEBYSIDE
The mainpicture and the sub picture are displayed side by
side.
NOTE:
Whenthe screensize is [CUSTOM]or[REAL], the PIP and POP
modes don t work.

batteries
The wireless remote c ontrol is powered by 1.5 V AAA batteries.
1. Unlockandpullupthe coverinthearrows direction.
2. Align the batteries according to the (+)and (-)indications
inside the case.
3. Replace the cover.
CAUTION:
Incorrectuse ofbatteries canresultinleaks orexplosion.
Be careful especially about the following points.
Place AAA batteries matching the (+)and (-)signs oneach
battery to the (+) and (-) signs of battery compartment.
Do not mix battery types.
Do notcombine newbatteries withused ones. Itcauses
shorterbatterylife orleakage ofbatteries.
Remove dead batteries immediately to preventbattery
liquid from leaking into the battery compartment. Don t
touchexposed batteryacid because itcauses damage to
yourskin.
NOTE:
If you do not use the wireless remote control for a long period,
remove the batteries.

This LCD has a temperature sensorand cooling fan. If the LCD
becomes hot, the cooling fan will turn on automatically. If the
LCD becomes overheated, the Caution menu will appear.
If the Caution menu appears, stop using the monitor and
allow itto cool. Whenthe LCDmonitoris used inanenclosure
orwithprotectiononLCDsurface, pleasecheckthe inside
temperature ofthe monitorby HEATSTATUS (See page 40). If
the temperature is higher than the normal level, set COOLING
FAN to ON using the SCREEN SAVER func tion (See page 40).
To avoid the monitor from falling
When installing the monitor using the tabletop stands (optional),
take measures to prevent the monitor from falling over in case
ofanearthquake orotherdisasterto lessenthe probabilityof
injury and damage resulting fromthe fall.
As shown in the gure, secure the monitor to a solid wall or
pillar using rope (c ommerc ially available) strong enough to bear
the weightof the monitor. [LDT323V: approximately 14.5 kg (with
the optionalstands)]
