Mitsubishi HC2000 User manual

■Exceptional Picture Quality
The HC2000 offers true HDTV or
1280 x 720 resolution. It also has
a DVI input with high-bandwidth digital
copy protection (HDCP) compliance
for use with digital set-up boxes that
distribute high-quality video.
■World’s Quietest Operation
Fan noise reduced to industry-leading
23 dBA in low lamp mode by utilizing a
low-noise sirocco fan, special exhaust duct
and lining the interior with soundproofing
material.
■Enhanced Connectivity
You can accurately project from a wide
range of sources including PC, MAC,
and workstation compatibility, as well as
NTSC, PAL, SECAM, HDTV (16:9) input
compatibility.
DVE Color Wheel
8-Segment Design The dark video
enhancement (DVE) color wheel reduces
noise that causes the visible artifacts in
the shadows of images. The 8-segment
design (two each of R, G and B, plus two
dark-green) minimizes gray-scale slippage
for more precise reproduction of truer
blacks. Wheel speed selection of 4x and
5x is provided.
Mitsubishi’s HC2000 is making the home theater experience bigger and better than
ever before with incredibly smooth images that virtually come to life.
Digital Micromirror Device
High Definition Images At the core of
the optics system is Texas Instruments™
HD2+ DLP device with more than a million
microscopic mirrors densely mounted on a
single chip. Light from the lamp is reflect-
ed off the mirrors and through the lens to
project the desired image. This truly digital
device controls each mirror individually,
switching it either on or off as required,
and its non-mechanical architecture
eliminates noise and picture degradation.
New Optics System
Stable And Quiet The optical system is
mounted on a solid aluminum base to
reduce vibrations leading to compromised
video quality and mechanical noise. A
sirocco fan and special heat duct push
lamp heat away from the optical system
with minimal fan noise and light leakage.
Electronic
Zoom & Lens Shift
Fast, Easy Adjustment The projector is
equipped with a lens diaphragm to opti-
mize light incidence and a motor-driven
lens with focus adjustment and zoom-in
(1.35x) capabilities. Manual adjustment of
the image position in the vertical plane
without moving the projector body is also
possible. This facilitates easier or less
obtrusive ceiling mounting.
