1. Required PC Specication
A computer can operate MediaBay and RemoteBay if it can run DivX, Xvid movie
les smoothly.
CPU : Pentium III – 800 or above
RAM : 128 MB or more
HDD : 100 MB or more
VGA : 1024 x 768 or higher, 16bit
OS : Microsoft Windows Me/2000/XP (Windows 2000/XP recommended), DirectX
9.0 or above
CD-ROM : required to install program and playback audio CD (DVD-ROM is requi-
red to playback DVD title)

2. S/W to be installed
2.1. MediaBay
MediaBay is a multimedia playing GUI providing user-friendly environment for
PC users. It supports a keyboard, a mouse and even a remote controller.
2.2. RemoteBay
RemoteBay helps users to dene keys of devices connected to USB or Serial ports
(various input devices are supported, such as remote controller and keyboard) as
virtual keyboard to control an active or target window application.

2.3 SW Installation
- Destination folder : Browse and select the folder to install MediaBay and
RemoteBay.
- Input device receiver :When you have a remote controlling solution compatible
with RemoteBay, select its working port. Otherwise, select “None”.

- TV tuner card : Select TV tuner card, if any. If not, select„None”
- Installation Completed : When completed, user can check/uncheck launching
“RemoteBay”.

3. Start MediaBay
There are many ways of starting MediaBay. Before you start the MediaBay, make
sure that RemoteBay is running.
Before starting MediaBay, you should check if RemoteBay is properly running by
looking at the tray icon.
If it works, you can start MediaBay by mouse right click.
Double click MediaBay icon on the Windows desktop.

Right mouse click on the RemoteBay avatar. You will see the menu like shown on
the left. Select MediaBay.
4. Movie
The user can search and playback HDD and CD-ROM movie les. Movie les can
be in AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF, DivX and Xvid format, depending upon what codec
you have installed. You can choose your favorite movie player, in addition to de-
fault MediaBay player.
Select Movie on the main screen of MediaBay. (Using “Media Jump” of side bar
menu, you can jump to Movie directly from anywhere)
Select one of the folder displayed. Then, MediaBay will search movie les auto-
matically. This lists can be edited in Setting Menu.

A Windows style movie player is adopted as a default. And user can switch it to
Full screen mode. Please refer to side bar menu for media control.
And the MediaBay default movie player will provide you with on screen display
menu as shown below. The menu appears by pressing Alt key of the keyboard.
When you have set the other external players, such as Windows Media Player,
Winamp or Gom player, you can launch those players by clicking the movie le
in MediaBay.

5. Play Music
MediaBay shows JPG, BMP, GIF image les with background music playing.
Select Music on the main screen.
(Side bar menu – Media Jump to music can work too)
Searching les, showing directories work the same as for movie les.

Choosing a directory shows music les. Click the le to play it. The les on the list
are played in sequence.
While listening to the music, a default slide show plays simultaneously.
The user can change the slide show by clicking “Change slide”menu.
6. Photo
MediaBay shows JPG, BMP, GIF image les with background music playing.
Select Photo on the main screen.
It works same way as with Movie or Music les. The program shows directories
and folders set in“Setting” -> “Photo” -> “Search Folder” of MediaBay.
Once user click or enter the directory, photo les are shown as thumbnails.
Clicking a thumbnail starts the slide show with default background music.
You can change the background music.

7. TV Watching
MediaBay checks any availableTV tuner card installed in the PC, and user can wa-
tch TV with MediaBay. (HDTV tuner cards are not supported, except of HDTV PCI
card of TV-Station)
MediaBay detects and initializes PCI/USB TV tuner card automatically and turns
on TV in windows mode with right-hand menu bars.
MediaBay supports analog PCI and USB-type TV tuners and HDTV card.

8. Watch Internet TV
Watch TV stations by Internet (Internet connection is required)
Select Internet TV on the main screen, and country lists are shown.
The user can choose his country. For example, this screenshot shows the list of
Korean Internet TV stations.
Click “Reservation” and a TV program reservation table appears with three tabs:
“Add”, “Edit” and “Delete”. It shows schedule starting time and duration. The user
can make a new reservation schedule by pressing “Add”. The user also can set
Input Source, Chan, Reserve period, Start Time and Recording hour.

9. Listen to Internet Radio
Listen to internet radio stations over Internet (approx 600 stations all over the
world; this requires Internet connection)
Select internet radio on the main screen.
Select Genre and internet radio station.
Update is available. Both existing and new channels are updated.

10. DVD , Flash
Before playing DVD, make sure DVD driver program and PowerDVD or WinDVD
codecs are installed. and a DVD title is in the DVD player. This menu supports CD-
ROM drive with Video CD.
Select DVD on the main screen, the DVD title will be started.
When the user selects a folder and enters a le, Flash animation will be played.

11. Recent, My menu
Users can continue playing what was recently played, regardless of the genre of
media. “Recent” menu shows the list of les recently played in reverse time or-
der
Users can register the name of theme at “Setting” -> “My menu”
12. Side Bar Menu – Media Jump
Pressing Alt key on the keyboard or mouse right click will show Side Bar Menu.

Change the setting of MediaBay.
When the user press the setting menu of MediaBay, user will nd submenus like

13.1 Setting - Main
- Resolution: Change the MediaBay ratio and size
- Sound eect: Sound eect when user moves highlight in MediaBay
- Sleep Timer: Set the time of turning the PC o.
13.2 Setting - Movie
- Search Folder: To make the search time shorter, the user can register/delete/
modify drives and folders for Movie, Music, Photo and Flash menu of MediaBay
- Play from last playing position: When user resumes playing the movie, user can
choose “Start from the beginning part” or “Start from the stopping part”
- Custom movie player: MediaBay has its own player, but the users who prefer
3rd party players like MS Windows Media Player, Winamp player or Gom player,
can set one of them as a main player.
13.3 Setting – Music
- Search folder: The user can organize music target folders and drives to minimi-
ze search time
- Change slide: The user can set the default directory for photo slide show.
13.4 Setting – Photo
- Search folder: The user organize photo target folders and drives to minimize
search time

- Full Screen: Set the slide show for full screen mode, or not.
- Slide eects: Various slide show eects the user can set during the slide show
- Change BGM: User set the default directory for background music.
13.5 Setting - TV
- Select Video device: Shows the list of available TV tuner in user’s computer
- Audio Setting: Set the volume control for watch and record functions. Analog
sound output through PCI bus option is also available
- Country code: Set country code.
- Analog Video: Set the analog TV signal type (NTSC, PAL and more)
- Recording: Recording codec/path setting
13.6 Setting – TV – Audio Setting
- Audio setting has 3 parts; player mixer, record mixer and audio stream. Play mi-
xer and record mixer are the same as MS window’s volume control. Check the re-
cord mixer before you start recording of TV.
- Some of TV tuners support sound transfer through external cable line-in, but
some send audio directly through PCI bus without extra cabling. Check your TV
tuner card.
13.7 Setting – TV – Recording – Analog TV
- Save type: Can be MPEG or AVI type
MPEG type has 3 types, we recommend to use MPEG2(640*480) for high quality
recordings or MPEG1(320*240) for lower-performance computers.
AVI has more options in Video Codec and Audio codec, each has“Recommended
Codec” section, and you can choose one of“Selection”values.
Recording quality is determined by 2 factors “Resolution” (640x480, 320x240,
160x120) and “Frame/s”(up to 30 frame/s)
