How to upgrade a firmware – by USB
[How to prepare a firmware]
1. Download the newest firmware file onto your computer
from www.samsung.com.
. If the firmware file is compressed (*.zip, *.rar, etc), the
file should be extracted to ROM files(*.rom, for Backend
program) or SSP files*.ssp, for Frontend program).
3. Connect a USB flash drive to your computer.
4. If there are previous versions of ROM or SSP file in USB
flash drive, delete them.
5. Copy the new ROM or SSP files to USB flash drive.
If there are files in each compressed files, place them
in same folder.
i. Files are extracted in same folder.
For example, for C730 series, there are two files like
C730WWB.ROM and HTD-C730WWB-****.*.ROM, these
two must be in same folder. If there are two files like
C730WWM.SSP and HTD-C730WWM-****.*.SSP, these two
also must be in same folder.
Note : *.rom and *.ssp files must NOT be placed in same
folder. *.rom and *.ssp must be seperated.
ii. *.rom and *.ssp must be seperated.
[Notice]
1. The following events may interrupt the upgrade process
and may cause permanent damage to the unit.
- Unplugging the power cord
- Power Outage
- Unplugging USB device.
. DO NOT place ROM and SSP files in same folder.
3. DO NOT rename the name of firmware.
We don't guarantee any problems by changing names.

[How to upgrade]
1. Remove any disc, then the display may show “No Disc”.
. Go to the USB function, then front display will show
"USB".
3. Insert USB flash drive to your home theater.
4. Select one of Video / Music / Photo.

1) If the update files are in the root, update will be
started automatically as soon as any item in home menu is
selected.
) If the update files are in any sub folder, move the
highlight to the folder and press ENTER key. Then, update
will be started automatically.
6. After updating is done, HTS will be turned off.
It takes about 1 min to complete, and auto-turned off if
upgrade is completed.
(In case of MPEG(~~WWB~~.ROM), HTS is automatically
turned off -> turned on -> opened a tray)
7. Close the door and wait till displayed “No disc” on OSD.
8. Press and hold Stop key(remote-controller/front panel)
for 10 seconds to initialize a system.
9. ‘Initial’ is displayed on VFD(front panel) and turned off
automatically.
10. Upgrade process is done.

How to upgrade a firmware
– by CD or DVD
[How to prepare a firmware]
1. Download the newest firmware file onto your computer
from www.samsung.com.
. If the firmware file is compressed (*.zip, *.rar, etc),
the file should be extracted to ROM file (*.rom, for
Backend program) or SSP file(*.ssp, for Frontend
program).
3. Prepare any empty recordable disc, and insert it.
4. Place the update files to the optical drive or editing
window of burning program, and burn it.
For example, for C730 series, there are two files like
C730WWB.ROM and HTD-C730WWB-****.*.ROM, these
two must be in same folder. If there are two files like
C730WWM.SSP and HTD-C730WWM-****.*.SSP, these two
also must be in same folder.
iii. Files are extracted in same folder.
Note : *.rom and *.ssp files must NOT be placed in same
folder. *.rom and *.ssp must be seperated.
iv. *.rom and *.ssp must be seperated.

4. DO NOT add the ‘;1’ ISO version externs when you burn
CDs. You can disable the ‘;1’ by checking burning options.
For example, Nero Burning ROM has an option for it. (See
