Each mono channel each feature a three band Equalization
("EQ") section. Each band is chosen from the prime
frequencies for most musical applications, and allows up
to 15 decibels of boost (increse) or cut (decrease) of the
signal in the tone range for which it controls. In the center-
detent position (0), the equalizer is bypassed (flat)and the
control has no effect on the tanal characteristics of the
signal. The HIGH control is centered at 12KHz. The MID
control is centered at 2.5kHz and the LOW EQ control is

use with balanced, law impedance dynamic or conderser

section - 5) is engaged.
2. LINE IN
These 1/4" Tip, Ring, Sleeve (TRS) jacks are designed to be
connected with (-10 to +4dBu) balanced or unbalanced
line level sources.
3. GAIN Control
In order to achieve the best signal to noise ratio and
adequate dynamic range, the input preamp level of the
Mit/Line channels is adjusted with o GAIN control on
each mono channel. Set the GAIN control by watching
the LED bar-graph meters-above the MAIN MIX level
control in the Master section of the mixer- while the
signal source for that channel is active (whether it be a
microphone or an instrumetn connected to the LINE IN of
the channel). The ideal level is between 0dB and +6dB
on the bar 9raph meters. If the CLIP LED on the channel
lights up consistently, the GAIN control is set too hi9h. It is
acceptable for the CLIP LED at flash periodically especially
with loud instruments like drums or during peak sound
levels during loud portions of a performance.
4. CLIP LED
The CLIP LEDs (on channels 1 to 4) will light up when the
input signal is driven too high This indicates that the signal
is overloading the preamp and causing distortion.
5. EQ Section
centered at 80Hz.

6. EFX Section
The EFX control allows you to mix the dry (i.e. no effects)
sound with the effects signal. Same instruments and voices
sound better with a different level of the effects added in
to the clean signal. This control allow you to mix the effects
in as you like. Sometimes the sound by itself sounds good
with a certJon level of effects but when mixed with the other
channels signals, the sound does not sound the same. You
can tailor the sound of each input by adjsuting this control.
7. Pan and Level
Pan Control: On each mono channel, the PAN control
adjusts the left/right balance of the mono signal being
sent to the left and right MAIN MIX outputs.
8. The Channel LEVEL Control
The Channel LEVEL knob allows for control of the level
of the signal that is being sent to the MAIN MIX master
volume control. Adjust each channel level control to accquire
the best "mix" , or balance of signals, from each input.
Stereo Channel Inputs
operates as a mono channel.
2. EFX
This control allows you to adjust any effects you want to
add to the signal of your stereo (2 channel) device in the
same fashion s the mono channels.
1. EQ(HIGH/LOW)
Each stereo channel feature a two band Equalization
section. Each band is chosen from the prime frequencies
for most musical applications, and allows up to 15 decibels
of boost (increse) or cut (decrease)of the signal in the tone
range for which it controls. In the centerdetent position (0),
the equalizer is bypassed (flat)and the control has no effect
on the tanal characteristics of the signal. The HIGH control
is centered at 12KHz. The LOW EQ control is centered at
80Hz.
Each of the stereo channels feature two line level inputs
withl/4'' Tip/ Ring/Sleeve(TRS) jacks for both balanced and
unbalanced left and righ input isgnals. These inputs can
occommodate both stereo and mono inputs. When using a
mono source, connect the cable to the LEFT (MONO) input
only. Stereo Channels have stereo inputs with left and right 1/4"
Tip/Ring/Sleeve (TRS) input jacks. LEFT (MONO) input: When
only one plug is inserted into the LEFT jack, the channel

PAN Control
3. PAN and LEVEL
On a stereo channel, with a stereo input connected, turning
the PAN control to the left will case right input's
signal level to decrease. Turning the PANcontrol fully
right on a stereo channel will cause the left Jnput's signal
level to decrease. If a mono input is connected to a stereo
channel, the PAN control will function as a PAN
control by adjusting the left/right PAN of the mono
signal being sent to the left and right MAIN MIX outputs.
4. Stereo Channel Level Control
The stereo channel level control allows for control of both
the left and right signals being sent to the MAIN MIX
master volume control. If a mono input is connected to a
stereo channel, the channel functions like a mono channel.
Master Section
The master section on the right side of the mixer controls
the final gain stage of the mixed signals from the input
channels. The MAIN MIX control allows for the adjustment
of the overall output level of the mini mixer.
POWER LED & Signal Metering
1. POWER LED
This amber LED lights indicating power is on for the mixer.
2. Level Meters
The signal level of the MAIN MIX output is displayed on the
4 segment LED bar-graph meters. Levels shown are -20, 0,
6 and CLIP.
3. 2TK IN
This section consists of two sets of three input jacks. The top
row of jacks are the "2TK IN" jacks which are a 1/8" stereo
jack and a left and right RCA jack. These inputs allow for
the introduction of an external stereo signal to the mixer.
This signal is controlled by the 2TK IN volume control and
the 2TK TO PHONES switch as well as the 2TK TO MAINS
switch. When the 1/8" 2TK IN jack is used, it takes priority
over the RCA 2TK IN jacks.

These outputs allow for the routing of MAIN MIX stereo
signal out of the mixer. This signal level is controlled by the
MAIN MIX volume control. When the 1/8" 2TK OUT jack is
used, it takes priority over the RCA 2TK OUT jacks.

8. FX Master Control
The FX Master Control allows you to choose which effect
you want to use. The FX to MAIN control allows you to
send as much of the effected sound to the MAIN output
controls. Keep in mind that you are adding signal and make
sure you are not overdriving the main output. The FX
on/off switch is a good way to quickly compare the "wet"
and "dry" sound.
9. POWER Switch - On/Off
This slide switch turns the unit on and off. Always power
down the mixer when it is not in use. Be sure to turn off all
system amplifiers or powered speakers before turning off
the mixer.

SETTING UPSETTING UP
These channels allow you to plug digital keyboards, computers, sequencers and any other
stereo (2 ch.) devices. The same procedure as above is used to set up these channels.
The professional features of the Mini Mixer makes it easy to use and to tailor the sound of
your system.
Always make sure there is a good electrical ground. Before turning on the mini Mixer, be
sure that the power switch is in the off position, the volume controls are all the way down
(- level) and all audio connections are made before switching the speaker on.
CONNECTIONS / WIRING
The mini Mixer input panel has one XLR plus one TRS connector for each of the mono
channels and TRS connectors in stereo Channels. Be sure to use high quality shielded cable
and connectors.
Mono Channels:
Balanced XLR microphone and line inputs make it easy to plug microphones into the mixer.
Plug in your mics, making sure the output volume is Iow, PAN and all EQ controls are in the
center detent position, and all GAIN controls and all the way down.
For best results, the gain throughout the system should be matched from one device to the
next.
Follow these few steps and you are on your way to great sound!
Set the first channel LEVEL control in the "12 o'clock" position. All others are down (- ).
Speak into your mic (or start the CD player) and, watching the meters, slowly increase
the level using the GAIN control at the top of the channel. The meters should only ticker
on the CLIP (RED) LED.
Adjsut the EQ the way you like, keeping in mind that extreme EQ effects the output level.
If the CLIP LED glows, turn the GAIN control down (anti-clockwise) until the LED just
flickers.
Repeat for each channel used.
Adjust the MAIN MIX control so that the CLIP LED is only on a very short time-NEVER
ON SOLID.
The gain of the next device, usually an amplifier just night be very Iow. This is OK as it is
getting the cleanest, strongest signal from the mixer.
If you are using a Graphic EQ, follow the same steps to set up the GAIN from the mixer
to the EQ to the amplifier.
