Glossary
đŏWiFi :
Wireless Ethernet local network.
The main advantage of WiFi is
that it eliminates the need for
cables. The major disadvantage
is that wireless communications
are dicult to secure.
đŏSSID (Network Name):
A string of up to 32 alphanumerical characters used to identify a wireless network
(WLAN) and enable one or more computers and/or peripherals to connect to it.
đŏWPA(Wireless Key) :
An encryption protocol based onTKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol), which will
eventually replace WEP. One of the strengths of TKIP is its use of dynamic keys,
which are dicult to decrypt.
Recommandations
đŏIn order to avoid impairing the performance of your Internet connection, install your
Box in a well ventilated area, away from high-powered electrical equipment or radio
transmitting devices.
đŏ In the event of a thunderstorm, unplug the telephone cables connected to your
computer or Box, and disconnect your computers, modems and routers from the
mains power supply. Use your PSTN or xDSL phone line for emergency calls only.
đŏxDSL is not compatible with remote alarm or medical assistance services.

Are you already a Monaco Telecom client?
If you used the WiFi feature of your old Monaco Telecom Box in the past, no action is required on
your part. Your WiFi will be configured and activated automatically.
If you are a new customer you will need to create a MyMT account
(if you already have a MyMT account, go directly to step 3) Activating WiFi
đŏIf you have an Internet account: Your user ID and password can be found on the list
of settings that you received when you signed up for your contract.
Click "Nouveau Client?" to create
your new account on the home
page of the site www.monaco.mc
In the section labelled "Je ne suis
pas encore utilisateur", enter
your user ID "identifiant" et and
your password "mot de passe".

Access your MyMT
customer account
A. Click the "Internet" tab.
B. Click "Mes produits et services".
C. Scroll down the page to the section labelled "Matériels associés à votre compte".
D. Click the "outils" button in the line labelled Type de matériel.
E. Click "Activer". Your WiFi connection settings appear and
a message confirming the activation will be displayed.
