10. Refer all servicing to qualified persons. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in
any way, such as liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, have been exposed
to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

The lightning flash with the arrowhead symbol in an equilateral triangle is intended to alert
the user to the presence of non-insulated “dangerous voltage” inside the appliance that may
be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the
presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature
companying the product.

of the features of the Banana D.I. and a step-by-step instructions for setup and use.
Maintaining the highest possible audio signal integrity through each and every stage of your gain structure.
No weak links, no level drops, frequency attenuation, radio electrical interference or impedance mismatch are
acceptable for your live performance or studio setup.
Banana D.I. has been developed to pack all the necessary tools you expect from a professional direct injection
box in a unique, smart cocktail of convenience, toughness and audio performance.
No more loud “pops, hums, hisses or clicks”. No more running back and forth from Stage to FOH in a desperate
search for the source of such problems. Record critical tracks live or in the studio with total confidence.

FEATURES
• For your ease of use and convenience, Banana D.I. offers a complete analog signal flow.
• It is micro controlled and equipped with a LCD display, housed in a virtually unbreakable, stackable
housing.
• Monkey Banana´s transformer less floating design improves the impulse responses and the distortion
values on low frequencies efficiently.
• Thanks to microcontrollers Banana D.I. delays the XLR output by 8 milliseconds after an input connec-
tor is plugged.
• With a super high input Impedance of 1.6 MΩyou prevent any coloration of your signal sources.
• The built-in LC-Display shows input signal value as a Bar Graph to have an indication of your signal.
• The Banana D.I. is powered by + 48 V Phantom Power.
• To make Banana D.I. solid enough we use Steel with 1.4mm thickness and corners made out of rubber
– shaped to be stackable .
• For thousands and thousands of plugs we use Neutrik Connectors – need say more?

1. Connect your Mixer or any other +48 V powered XLR
Type Audio Input with the Banana D.I. XLR Output.
2. Connect the signal sending devices on the Input
3. Power Up your Phantom Power on the Mixer. The D.I.
will boot now.
4. The LCD shows a bar graph. The bar graph is enabled
if a connector is plugged in the input socket. The bar
graph indicates the signal level. You have a level
of more than + 4 dBu if the last bar is visible, stay
on that level to keep a bit headroom until the signal
will start to get harsh. We suggest you to switch the
attenuation switch in the –15 dB position if the last
bar appears frequently.
5. The input impedance change between 1,6 MΩin
the 0 dB position to 27 kΩin the –15dB position.
Selecting the 1,6 MΩfor a connection to a high
impedance instrument pick up will deliver the best
results. The Banana D.I. will balance this signal
without any coloration in this position. If you connect
and low impedance instrument like the ones with
active pickups, you should use the –15 dB - position.
6. The ground lift switch is a floating ground switch.
You will solve most of all grounding problems with
the Banana D.I.. At the same time you benefit from
better signal quality and less coloration compared to
other D.I. boxes with transformer.
7. Power / On Off – Enable/Disable the Mute stomp with
this switch: You can make sure that the Musician on
the stage will not Mute the D.I. box if you disable the
Mute stomp
8. Mute Stomp – Mute the D.I. Box with this Button.

All Monkey Banana Products are shipped out free from defects in material and workmanship. The one year
warranty period (as shown on the original sales receipt with serial number affixed/written on it) is valid only if
the product is from the original MONKEY BANANA Company, the warranty return card is properly filled out and
sent to the official agent of MONKEY BANANA Company.
The official agent will collect the warranty return card together with the defective D.I. Box and send back to
MONKEY BANANA Company for repairing. MONKEY BANANA Company owns the final right to reject any RMA
products from the agent/purchaser without any contacting first!
Products (sent for repair) that are tested by MONKEY BANANA professional technicians and deemed to
have no problems will not be covered to the limited warranty. Customer must pay for the labor
and freight both ways.

MONKEY BANANA warranty does not cover products that
have been modified and/or abused, including but not
limited to the following:
1. Damages to housing and housing finish due
to misuse, abuse, or improper use of cleaning
material/methods, Bended housings, broken
connectors, scratches or total damage of the LED
Display cause of misuse.
2. Any damage caused by the accident, misuse or
improper use, negligence, burnt, soak, abrasion,
rust or dip-dye, lightning strike and other force
majeure.
3. Without the official instruction from our technical
engineers, fading, deterioration of the Banana
D.I. components and finish due to improper
exposure to elements.
4. Burnt tracers on PCB due to improper use.
5. Product/part damaged due to poor package or
abusive shipping conditions.
6. Subsequent damage to other products.
7. To alter on the original serial number label or
completely without serial number.
8. Any accessories from MONKEY BANANA Company
do not include in the warranty service. A warranty
claim will not be valid if the warranty return card
is not properly filled and returned to the official
agent of MONKEY BANANA with a copy of the
sales invoice.
Service Request:
To received product(s) service, please ship the defective
product back to the official agent of MONKEY BANANA
Company after you have got the RMA number from
them. Make sure you provide us with your complete and
correct contact information. In most cases, our techni-
cians might be able to resolve the problem over the
phone, thus eliminating the need to ship the product.
Shipping Instruction:
Product(s) must be packed in its original protective
box(es) to minimize transport damage.
Disputes Resolution:
All disputes between clients and MONKEY BANANA
Company resulting from the limited warranty policy
resolved according to the laws and regulations of
Germany
Other Instructions:
MONKEY BANANA Company will not be responsible
for any misfeasance benefit loss which caused by our
products. MONKEY BANANA Company owns the final
right for the explanation of this warranty card. Products
shall be subject to any changes without notices.
