OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT
1. Wash the rice in another container and pour into the inner pot
after washing. Generally, with one cup of rice, one and a half
cups of water should be added. Do not wash rice directly in
the inner pot. (See Fig. 1)
2. Place the inner pot correctly in position: Make sure there is
no foreign matter sticking to the heating element and cooker
bottom, then place the inner pot into the outer shell. At the
same time turn the inner pot in clockwise and counter
clockwise direction several time to ensure close contact
between the inner pot and heating element. Fig 2
3. Rice cooking: Insert the power plug into the cooker and plug
into the power outlet. Then press the button on the control
panel. The indicator light will turn to “C K” indicating that
the rice cooker is in operation.
4. Heat preservation function: After the “C K” indicator light
turns off, the “WARM” indicator light will turn on, automatically switching to heat
preservation function. If heat preservation is not required, disconnect the power plug
immediately, so as to extend the cooker’s operation life.
5. Steaming or stewing food: When food is steamed or stewed to the required time, pull
up the operation button to stop heating.
1. This product is a Class-1 electric appliance. In order to guarantee safe operation, it
requires the AC mains to be earthed well. The power plug is a specially designed
plug, and any alteration of the plug is not recommended.
2. The bottom and edge of the inner pot, and the heating element
should not be hit by force. It should be kept clean at all times.
Ensure water and rice residues do not remain on the surface of
the inner pot or heating element to prevent cooking inefficiency
or malfunctions. Fig 3
3. Do not wash the cooker shell or immerse in water so as to prevent electrical shock.
The non-stick inner pot can be wiped with a soft cloth. Never clean it with a knife or
other sharp objects.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
1. CAUTION: This appliance generates heat and escaping steam during use. Proper
precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, fire or other damage to
persons or property.
2. All users of this appliance must read and understand this user manual before
operating or cleaning this appliance.
3. The power cord to this appliance should be plugged into 220-240V~ AC electrical
outlet only.
4. Always attached power plug to the rice cooker first, then plug into the power outlet. To
disconnect, move the Warm/Cook Lever to the “Warm” position, then remove the
power plug from the power outlet.
5. When using this appliance, ensure there is adequate air space above and on all sides
for optimum air circulation. Do not allow this appliance to come into contact with
curtains, wall covering, clothing, dish tower or other flammable materials during use.
6. Do not leave this appliance unattended during use.
7. This appliance generates steam. Do not operate uncovered.
8. If this appliance malfunctions during use, immediately unplug the power cord. Do not
use or attempt to repair the malfunctioning appliance: Do not use the inner pot if it is
crack or chipped.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Clean the inner lid, inner pot, rice scoop and measuring cup (refer to maintenance
instructions on page 7).
DO NOT IMMERSE THE HEATING BODY OF THE RICE COOKER IN WATER OR ANY
OTHER LIQUIDS.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions carefully.
2. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse power cord, plug or base unit in
water or other liquids.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
4. Unplug the power outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Unplug before
assembling or disassembling, and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
5. Do not operate any appliance with damaged power cord or plug, or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorised Service Center for examination, repair or adjustment.
6. Non-recommended accessories may cause hazard or damage the appliance.
7. This appliance is not intended for outdoor use.
8. Do not allow power cord to hang over edge of the table or counter top, or come into
contact with hot surfaces.
9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
10. Extreme caution is needed when moving an appliance containing hot food, water or
other hot liquids.
11. Do not use appliance for other than its intended use.
12. Lift and open cover carefully to avoid scalding.
13. Do not use steel wool or any metallic scouring pad to clean the electrical pin terminals
on the appliance. Metal silvers can reduce electrical spacing and cause a shock
hazard.
14. To reduce the risk of electrical shock, cook only in removable container. Do not pour
liquid into outer pot.
15. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. If the supply cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
16. This appliance is not intended for use by person(s) (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given prior supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.

4. Do not use the rice cooker to cook any acidic or alkaline food. Do not store the
cooker with corrosive materials or places with high moisture. When in operation,
never place the cooker in or near flammable appliances.
5. After placing the inner pot inside, the power plug can be inserted to the power outlet.
Before removing the inner pot, the power cord should unplugged for safety measures
6. A fuse is installed in this rice cooker to prevent overheating. As such, the power will
cut off automatically when overheating occurs. Replace fuse to resume normal
operation.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance should be cleaned after every use.
1. Unplug the Automatic Rice Cooker from the power outlet when not in use or before
cleaning. Never immerse heating body in water or any other liquids! Allow the
Automatic Rice Cooker to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or steel wool to clean the Rice Cooker.
3. Heating body: Lightly wipe the exterior with damp cloth or sponge. Do not immerse
heating body into water or other liquids.
4. Inner pot: Fill with hot water and let it sit for a while before washing with hot, soapy
water and soft sponge. Dry thoroughly with clean cloth.
5. Keep the outer lid and inner lid dry and clean when not in use.
6. Heating Plate and Thermostat: Grains of rice or other foreign matter may stick to the
heating plate. These must be removed to maintain proper cooking performance. To
remove cooked rice, smooth sand paper can be used. Smooth out and polish the
spot for good contact between the heating plate and bottom of the inner pot.
7. There are no user serviceable parts inside this appliance. Do not attempt to repair
this appliance yourself as you could render it dangerous to use. Return it to an
authorised service center for repair.
