A. Warranty
Mostec warrants this product to be free of manufacturing defects for a 2-year period
following the originaldate of purchase. Withinthis 2-year period, defective products
will be repaired free of charge provided that the defect occurred during normal
operation. This warranty does not cover damage to the product resulting from
ordinary use suchas front panelscratches, brokencontrolelements and corrosion,
etc. The buyer is responsible for shipping and packing charges for products returned
to Mostec under warranty. Mostec warrants this product beyond the 2-year warranty
period for anadditional2 years incase of long term damages due to improper
manufacturing. Suchdamages (i.e. poorly soldered joints or other assembly
problems) are also covered by the warranty. Transportationdamages are not covered
by the warranty and has to be referred to the respective postaldelivery service.

B. Technical description
TheM7829AR digitaldisplay isused to check or controlanytype of current/voltage
signal.It converts theinputsignalto anydesired display between-1999 to +1999.
Thedisplayed valuecanthenbe monitored or controlled by two alarm contacts.
Those alarm contacts canbe set independently. Thealarm valueof thecontacts is
programmed by two multi-turnpotentiometers onthefrontpanel.By pressingoneof
thearrow buttons, thecorrespondingalarm valueisdisplayed. Thecontacts are
floatingandcanbe factory programmed to openor to close theirN/O contacts when
reachingthealarm limit. Eachalarm statusisdisplayed withared lamp. The
Instrumentprovides also onesignalcurrentor voltage outputwhichcanalso be set
independently to the input signalor the display range.
Example: Input: 0 to 20mA
Output: 4 to 20mA
Display: 0 to 10.00 bar

C. Adjusting the alarm limits
1. Press either the -or the ¯buttononthe front panel.
The corresponding alarm limit is shownondisplay.
2. Now adjust the requested alarm limit withthe corresponding screw located onthe
right hand side of the front panel.
D. Displayand signal output adjustment
Fouradjustmentscrews are ontheback panel. Do not change these settings as they
have beenexactly adjusted at the factory or by the panelbuilder.
If, however, the instrument needs to be adjusted, proceed as follows:
1) set the input signalto the lowest possible value
2) adjust thedisplay withthe"DVM MIN". screw andthesignaloutputwiththe"mA
MIN" screw.
3) set theinputsignalto maximumvalue, adjust thedisplay withthe"DVM MAX"
screw and the signaloutput withthe "mA MAX" screw.
