IMPORTANTSAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should
always be followed, including the following:

KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
DANGER –As with most electrical appliances, electric parts are electrically live even when the
switch is off.
To reduce electrical shock risk:

Always “unplug it” immediately after using.
•
Do not use while bathing.
•
Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into tub or sink.
•
Do not place in or drop into the water or other liquid.
•
If an appliance falls into water, “unplug it” immediately. Do not reach into the water.
WARNING –To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:
•
Do not leave appliance unattended while it is operating or is plugged in.
•
Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or
individuals
with certain disabilities.
•
Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use
attachments
not recommended by the manufacturer.
•
Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, if it has
been dropped or damaged in any manner or dropped into the water.
Take appliance to the nearest
service facility for examination and repair or
mechanical adjustment.
•
Keep the cord away from hot or heated surfaces. Do not wrap the cord around the
appliance.
•
Never use while drowsy or while sleeping.
•
Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
•
Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used. Do
not operate
where oxygen is being administered.
•
This curling iron and clamp are hot when in use. To avoid burn hazard, do not let eyes
and bare skin
touch heated surfaces.
•
Do not place the heated unit directly on any surface while it is hot or still plugged in; use
the
safety stand provided.
•
Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug fits
in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse
the plug and try
again. If it still does not fit fully, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt
to defeat this safety feature.

LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
•
Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.
•
To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
•
To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
•
Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are found,
this indicates
that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord replaced. Please
see warranty section for
instructions on replacement and service.
•
Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress on
the cord where it
enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE,
OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING
ENTIRELY.
HOW TO USE
Mr Big is dual voltage and can be plugged into any outlet 100V to 240V. This appliance is for
household use.
IMPORTANT: During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and a
slight odor, as
well as a humming noise. This is normal and is not cause for concern. Start
with lowest temperature and
only increase temperature as your hair type and style requires.

STYLING
For optimum styling, hair should be clean and dry.
1.
Start by sectioning the hair into strands of not more than 1/2-inch thick and 2 inches
wide.
2.
Open the clamp, take one section of hair at a time and place the end over the barrel.
Then close the
clamp, making sure that the ends extend just a bit beyond the clamp.
3.
Keep the section of hair taut as you wind it around the hot barrel by turning the
handle with one hand.
Wind the curl toward the scalp as far as you wish to go
without touching scalp with the hot barrel.
Note: When using this curling iron, keep
your hand away from the end of the handle to avoid blocking
the swivel action of the
cord.
4.
Hold the curl in place for up to 20 seconds for tight curls or if hair is hard to curl.
Hold for less time
if hair is easy to curl, or if you want loose curls or just waves.
CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user serviceable parts. Do not try
to repair it
yourself.
TO CLEAN: Unplug curling iron and allow to cool. Iron must be cleaned only when cool.
Use a soft,
slightly damp cloth to wipe the handle. Do not allow water or any other liquid to
go into handle of the iron.
TO STORE: Unplug the appliance and let it cool, store in its box or in a clean, dry place.
Store the cord
loosely coiled. Never wrap the cord around unit; this could cause the cord to
wear prematurely and break.
Do not put any stress on cord where it enters the handle, as it
could cause cord to fray and possibly break.
Never hang unit up by the power cord.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Invidia Beauty, L.L.C. (“we”, “us” or “our”, formerly Mr Big Beauty Products) warrants
product against defects in materials and
workmanship for one (1) year from original
purchase date (“Warranty Period”). If you cannot prove
original purchase date, Warranty
Period runs one (1) year from date of product manufacture. If we receive
a valid claim, we
will repair or replace with product of equal or greater value at our option.
This Warranty Does Not Cover normal wear and tear such as shorts in the power supply cord
or plug or
excessive product build up on barrel or clamp or scratched or damaged barrel or
clamp or damage due to
accident, misuse or abuse such as: dropping (broken or cracked
handle, broken or loose connection between
barrel and handle or barrel and clamp, rattling
noise, etc.), wrong voltage supply, neglect in safety
precautions, or tampering such as repair
or attempted repair by unauthorized person or use of unauthorized
attachments.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE A CLAIM
If the product fails to operate properly under normal use because of a
covered defect (within 1
year of purchase), return for
repair or replacement. Please include a copy of your receipt and
$8.00 for postage and handling. (We are not responsible for products lost or damaged in transit;
you must properly package product against
possible damage.)
