What does it mean?
Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) is a digital
radio technology for broadcasting radio
stations, common in the UK and Europe.
DAB provides for a higher quality of sound
and as also allows additional information
to be transmitted along side to the audio.

Congratulations on purchasing this DAB/FM Clock
Radio. You can now listen to both DAB and FM
frequencies, giving you access to a wide range of
stations which, using DAB, will automatically tune. You
can use your radio as an alarm clock.
Please read the warning section on page 10 carefully
before using your radio.

1 Plug the power cable into the DC 5V socket on the
back of your Radio.
2 Plug the other end of the cable into a standard
three pin wall socket and switch on the power at
the wall.
3 Your radio will show a brief welcome message,
and then will automatically tune into all the
available DAB stations.
4 Once complete the display will advise you of the
number of DAB stations found. If there are no
DAB stations available in your area the display
will show “Service N/A”. All available stations will
be saved for future use.
5 You can toggle between DAB and FM by pressing
the DAB/FM button.

Note:
Aerial positioning
You may need to reposition the aerial for optimum
reception. The best position is dependent on the
station and the strength of the signal.
There is a signal bar icon in the top right corner
of the radio display. Use this as a reference to find
the best signal.
Note:
Scanning for station
If wish to find new DAB station or you move the
radio to a new location, you can search using the
SCAN button.

Turn on your Radio using the ON / OFF button.
1 Switch to FM by pressing the DAB / FM button
repeatedly.
2 You can select the desired frequency manually by
pressing and holding button to move
up or down.
3 Fine tuning can be done by pressing
button once, and repeating until the desired
frequency is found.
4 Alternatively, if you press the SCAN button it
will automatically seek out the next available
station. If you press and hold the SCAN button
it will search in the opposite direction.

1 You can store your favourite stations to the
memory. This will enable you to access your
favourite stations quickly and easily.
2 Press the PRESET button. The letter P followed by
a number from 01 to 10 and the word Free will
appear on the display, if the position is empty.
3 Press button repeatedly to select the
desired preset position (Preset 01 to Preset 10).
4 Press and hold the PRESET button. The display will
show “P xx” and the number will flash.
5 Press the SELECT button to confirm your selection,
“P xx SAVE” appears on the display.
You can save up to 10 stations in not only DAB mode
but also FM mode.

1 Once you have stored your preset station you can
recall it by pressing PRESET button. The letter P
followed by a number from 01 to 10 and the word
Free will appear on the display, if the preset has not
been allocated to a station.
1 Press and hold the ALARM button on the top of your
radio. The screen will show the words “ALARM 1”.
You can Press the ALARM button again to change
to “ALARM 2” .
2 After pressing the SELECT button to confirm your
selection, the words ON will flash on the display.
You can change it to OFF by pressing
button. Press the SELECT button to confirm your
selection.
3 The hour digits will flash on the display. You can
press button to change it. Press the
SELECT button to confirm.
4 The minute digits will flash and you can change the
minute using the button. Press the
SELECT button to confirm.
5 Then enter to set the alarm volume (1 to 20) using
the button. Press the SELECT button
to confirm.
6 You can select either Buzz or Radio for your alarm
sound, use the button to make your
selection. Press the SELECT button to confirm.
7 Then the icon of will show on the display if the
Alarm 1 is active.
9 You can set the Alarm 2 the same way.

You can select the desired volume using the

When you turn on your radio and switch to DAB mode
it will search all the available DAB stations
automatically.
If you wish to retune DAB station or search for new
stations press the SCAN button.
Note:
1 Press the SCAN button to activate the quick scan,
the display will show “Q Scan”.
2 Press and hold the SCAN button to activate the full
scan, the display will show “F Scan”.
You can explore the DAB stations by pressing
button as follows:
1 In the DAB mode, press and hold SELECT button
for over 2 seconds to access Auto On/Off mode.
Press and hold SELECT button repeatedly to
toggle between the modes of Auto On and Auto
Off.
2 In Auto On mode, change the station by pressing
buttons, it will automatically tune.
3 If in Auto Off mode, you must press SELECT
button to confirm after pressing

As well as the auto tune function, you can manually
tune your radio. This can help you when some stations
were missed while auto tuning.
1 Press and hold the DISPLAY button
the display will show “Manual”.
Press the SELECT button to enter Manual tune
mode.
2 Press the button to cycle through the
DAB channel.
3 After your desired channel number is selected, press
SELECT button to enter the current multiplex. The
name of the multiplex will be displayed and the first
station in the multiplex will be played automatically.
4 Press the button to see what stations
are present in the found multiplex. Once you have
reached the last station in the found multiplex, it will
revert back to the first station.
5 If you wish to exit the Manual tuning mode, just press
the SELECT button.

When the alarm sounds
When the alarm sounds, the alarm icon will flash on
the display. You can have two options.
1 Press the ALARM or ON / OFF button to turn off the
alarm if the Alarm1 is active.
2 If the Alarm 2 is active you can press ALARM2 or
ON / OFF button to turn off the alarm.
3 Press the SNOOZE/MUTE button to stop the alarm
temporarily, it will sound again after about 9
minutes. Then you will see flashing on the
screen.
4 Use the VOL+ or VOL- buttons to change the
volume of the radio or buzzer.
When you turn on your radio it will be automatically
synchronized to the local time by searching the DAB
signal. It will continue to search the time information
until it has managed to be synchronized. If after 3
minutes the clock has not automatically set itself try
repositioning the radio to get better reception.
If the radio cannot find a DAB frequency to set
the clock. You can use the FM mode (some FM
stations also transmit time and date
information).
1 Switch to FM mode by pressing the DAB / FM
button.
2 Search for a station using either
button or the SCAN button.

The SLEEP function allows you to program radio
to switch itself off after a set period of 90, 60, 30
or 10 minutes.
You can shift in 5 options of S OFF, S 90 MIN, S
60 MIN, S 30 MIN and S 10 MIN by pressing
SLEEP button repeatedly. The selection you
make will be confirmed after 3 seconds
automatically or pressing the SELECT button.
Then you can see “S CONFRM” appearing on the
display. When Sleep function is active, you will
see SLEEP appearing on the screen.
Checking the alarm
You can know whether Alarm1 or Alarm2 is active
via the icon on the left top of the display.
If you want to view detailed alarm information, you
need to repeat the steps of settine the alarm.

3 Press the DISPLAY button repeatedly to
explore the Time or Date information.
4 If the FM station is transmitting time it will
set itself automatically.
Please be aware that not all FM stations transmit
the time. If the time does not set after 3 minutes
press the SCAN button to find another station.
Repeat until the time is set.

You can Reset your radio by the following steps.
DAB mode
1 Press and hold the button until the screen
changes.
2 Press button again to see “System Reset ”
appearing on the screen.
3 Press the SELECT button to confirm.
4 After “System Reset.”appearing on the display, the
main unit will enter the quick scan mode
automatically. The display will show “Q Scan”.
FM mode
1 Press and hold the button until “System
Reset” appears on the screen.
2 Press the SELECT button to confirm the system
reset.
3 After “System Reset.” appearing on the display, the
main unit will return to frequency 87.5MHz
automatically.

When using the radio in either DAB or FM mode you
can view what appears on the display by pressing the
DISPLAY button. Press the DISPLAY button
repeatedly to scroll through the options.

Using headphones
You can listen to your radio using headphones
with a 3.5mm jack. Plug the headphones into the
socket on the side of your radio.

Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or
solvents.
Polish the screen with soft cloth and if necessary a
recommended glass cleaner.
Do not paint your product.
Do not attempt to disassemble your product.
Do not drop, throw or try to bend your product.
Do not expose your product to open fames or lit
tobacco products.

Problem What to do
No power Check that the power is switched on at the wall.
Check if the power cord is properly connected to the power outlet.
No sound
Check that the volume control is NOT at minimum setting.
Check that it is NOT set to mute.
Radio channel

Adjust the antenna location and position to obtain the best signal reception.
Tune to the correct radio channel frequency.
Function disturbed If none of the above solutions work, try switching off and unplugging your Radio,
leaving it for two minutes and then switching it again.on

you should be aware of:

Follow all instructions.
Check the mains voltage stated on the mains
adapter rating plate corresponds to the local
electricity supply, if it doesn’t, return the product to
the store where you bought it.
Unwind and straighten the adapter cord before
use.
Place the product on a firm and lever surface.
Avoid placing the apparatus in places subject to
constant viberation.
Remove the adapter from the outlet, when the
product is unused for a long period of time and
during thunderstorms.
Clean only with a dry cloth, unplug the outlet
before cleaning. Do not use aggressive cleaners
as they will damage the surface.
Only use attachments or accessories specified by
the manufacture.
Do not locate the appliance near a heat source or
in direct sun light. Do not place a naked flame
source on or near this product.
Do not attempt to open the cabinet or remove any
covers. If the power adapter or its lead becomes
damaged, it must be replaced with an adapter of
the same type and rating.
Repairs must only be performed by the
manufacture or its service agent or similarly
qualified person.
Do not immerse the main unit, the power adapter
or any accessories in water or other liquid.
Make sure not to obstruct the ventilation openings,
a minimum of 10cm should be kept around the
apparatus for ventilation.
Do not install this equipment in a confined or
building-in space such as a book case or similar
unit, and remain a well ventilation conditions at
open site. The ventilation should not be impeded
by covering the ventilation openings with items
such as newspaper, table-cloth, curtains, etc.
Use apparatus in moderate climate only. Avoid
operating the unit in humid or moist places.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not
expose the apparatus to rain or moisture. The
apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or
splashing and that objects filled with liquids, such
as vases, shall not be placed on the apparatus.
The direct plug-in adapter is used as disconnect
device, the disconnect device remain readily
operable.
