Knock-Down 15” Pro Subwoofer Assembly
Thank you for purchasing the Knock-Down 3.6 cu. ft. 15" Pro Subwoofer abinet. This kit was
precision cut using N machinery for the best possible fit and finish. With a little time and
patience, your finished product will provide years of enjoyment. Please use the following
instructions for the best possible results.
Suggested tools and consumables:
Drill Rag or paper towels
5/64" drill bit Pencil or Sharpie marker
Wood clamps (you can never have too many of these) Phillips screwdriver
Sanding block and/or electric finishing sander Wood glue
Speaker or hook-up wire (12-14 gauge) Binding post/terminal cup

Package contents:
First, empty the contents of the package, inspect the parts to ensure everything has been included,
and is in good condition. Before gluing anything, do a dry fit of the included parts to familiarize
yourself with the components and their assembly. This will also give you a chance to ensure that
all pieces have been cut properly. If any parts are missing or damaged please contact our customer

Enclosure Assembly:
Note: Due to the size of this enclosure, any minor warping of the panels could result in difficult fitment
of the final panel. Therefore, we recommend that you assemble the majority of this enclosure in one
sitting while the glue is still wet. Please complete the majority of the enclosure (steps 3 thru 9) before
clamping or allowing any glue to dry completely.
1) First, take the back panel and cut or drill holes required for the speaker termination of your
choice (binding posts, terminal cup, Speakon, etc…).
2) Next, set the enclosure parts out on a flat level surface and ensure that all pieces are free of
dust and debris.
3) With one side panel (B) lying flat, apply glue to the port dado on the side panel and one
side of the port shelf (E) and assemble as pictured below. Apply enough pressure to ensure
glue is spread through the joint (some glue squeeze-out can be expected).

4) Next, apply glue to all mating surfaces of the side/port shelf assembly and the
front baffle (F). Assemble as pictured below. Apply enough pressure to ensure glue is
spread through each joint (some glue squeeze-out can be expected).
5) Apply glue to all mating surfaces of the side/baffle assembly and the top panel
(A). Assemble as pictured below. Apply enough pressure to ensure glue is spread through
each joint (some glue squeeze-out can be expected).

6) Apply glue to all mating surfaces of the side/top assembly and the back panel ( ).
Assemble as pictured below. Apply enough pressure to ensure glue is spread through each
joint (some glue squeeze-out can be expected).
7) Set the bottom panel (D) on a flat surface. Apply glue to the dado on the bottom
panel and one side of the port brace (I) and assemble as shown. Apply enough pressure to
ensure glue is spread through each joint (some glue squeeze-out can be expected).

8) Apply glue to all mating surfaces of the side/back/port shelf assembly and the
bottom/port brace assembly. Assemble as pictured below. Apply enough pressure to
ensure glue is spread through each joint (some glue squeeze-out can be expected).
9) Now, apply glue to all mating surfaces of the enclosure assembly and remaining side
panel. Assemble as pictured below. Apply enough pressure to ensure glue is spread through
each joint (some glue squeeze-out can be expected).
At this point, inspect the enclosure to ensure that all edges are lined up properly then apply
clamps so that even pressure is applied to all glued surfaces. After clamping, double check
that all edges line up properly, this cannot be corrected once the glue dries. Using a damp rag
or paper towel, wipe away any glue squeeze-out on the outside of the enclosure (squeeze-out

on the inside is fine). Allow to dry according to the glue manufacturer's recommendations and
remove clamps.
10) Once the glue has dried remove clamps. Finally, apply a bead of glue to the
dadoes in the top and port shelf panels. Insert the cover brackets (H) as shown and apply
enough pressure to ensure glue is spread through each joint (some glue squeeze-out can
be expected). lamp the cover brackets so that even pressure is applied to all glued
surfaces.
11) With the cabinet together you can now finish to your liking. Don’t forget to finish
the cover panel as well!
12) Once the cabinet is finished, install the speaker connection of your choice. We
recommend using Speakon connectors for high power applications with 12-14 gauge
cable. With this and the wiring in place, connect the wires to your woofer observing
polarity and install the woofer.

13) Finally, screw the front cover in place with the supplied screws.
Your enclosure is now ready for its first gig!
