Musical Paradise MP-402 Owner’s Manual
The MP-402 is the most powerful Musical Paradise integrated tube amplifier.
Please follow the following guide to install tubes properly before operation.
Tube Setup
The FU25 power tubes are place on both sides of the unit. Each FU25 tube has
two bigger pins. The two bigger pins must go into the two bigger holes in each
FU25 socket, so the user must carefully check and align the two bigger pins. There
is a red wire needs to be connected between the banana socket on the chassis
and the top terminal of each FU25 tube. Please sure both ends are connected
securely. 6N8P preamp tubes and 6N7P tubes look very similar. There is a silk
screen model printing on each tube. Please check the silk screen lettering on each
tube to plug them in according to the photo below.

Tube Replacement Guide
Shuguang FU25 is interchangeable with Russian G-1625 and US made 1625.
Shuguang 6N7P is interchangeable with Russian and US made 6N7S, 6H7C and
6N7GT.
Shuguang 6N8P is interchangeable with Chinese and US made 6SN7 and 6SN7GT.
For example, RCA 6SN7 is recommended.
Fuse Replacement Guide
There are three fuses in MP-402.
The external one is located in the power cord socket. It is accessible outside.
Unplug the power cord. Use a flat head screw driver to pry out the fuse drawer.
There is usually a spare fuse inside as well. The current rating is 5A slow blow
type, 5x20mm size. If tubes don’t light up at all, need to check and replace this
fuse first.
The second and third fuses are inside the unit. Need to open the bottom cover to
find them. They are 6x30mm 500mA fast blow. If tubes are light up, but no sound,
need to check and replace these fuses. If these fuses blow, at least one of the
FU25 tube needs to be replaced. High voltage inside. Please unplug the power
cord and wear plastic gloves for safety.
Cautions
Users must connect their speakers to the amp all the time when the amp is on.

Placement
Please place it on a flat platform with good ventilation. Do not put it into a
cabinet. Try to avoid glass top table and other heat source.

The amplifier itself is covered by one-year manufacturer warranty. Tubes have a
