The new Engage range of Subwoofers are made from heavy stamped steel
baskets and one piece custom tooled cones, and will work just as well in
ported or sealed enclosures.
Since its awakening back in 2004, Car Audio has been

subwoofers can be used in either sealed or ported applications,
depending on your music tastes and specific requirements.
We recommend using a minimum of 3/4” (18mm) MDF for constructing your enclosure. Also be sure
to glue all joints with a high strength wood glue and once assembled, all joints should be sealed
with silicone sealant.
You may wish to experiment by placing your enclosure in different positions in the boot. You will
find that by changing the direction the subwoofer faces, the bass response will alter.
Note that all measurements need to be internal measurements (If they are being taken externally
you will need to subtract the width of the wood from each measurement accordingly.
To calculate the internal volume in Ft3, multiply the Height (A)
x Width (B) x Depth (C) in inches, then divide that total by 1728.
To calculate the internal volume in Litres, multiply the Height (A)
x Width (B) x Depth (C) in centimetres, then divide that total by 1000.
