Helpful tips before starting:
•Get someone to help you. Some pieces are heavy and a second pair of hands always helps.
•Do not tighten the bolts completely until the product is fully assembled. Some pieces are
harder to t in place and this will help. A hammer or rubber mallet is needed during assembly.
•Do not over-tighten the bolts or screws.
•The photos in our product catalog can provide additional help while assembling your item.
•Build your item close to where it will be used to eliminate difculty in moving once completed.
•For a uniform look, face all nuts in the same direction.

Care Instruction and Tips:
Great care has been put into manufacturing this item. However, it is made of wood and some natural
imperfections (minor splits, check cracks and dark spots) are normal and should be expected. We have
applied Olympic Maximum Water Proong Sealant and Penetrating Oil Honey Gold formula to your stand
to help protect it from the elements. Should you notice a change in color over time, do not worry, this is
normal as cypress wood will weather to a beautiful pewter gray. If you would like to preserve the golden
color, you can further treat it with a polyurethane marine grade varnish of your choice. If not varnished,
we recommend that each year you apply a coat of boiled linseed oil to protect the wood and apply water
proong sealant as needed.
We strongly recommend storing your stand inside a dry place during the harshest months of the year.
This stand folds fairly well on itself when the two eye bolts are removed from the top braces. If storage is
not an option, putting a tarp under and over the stand is highly recommended. Visit your local hardware
store for Olympic Gold water sealant, linseed oil, or tarps.*These instructions also are available at www.

Always use extreme caution when putting Nags Head items up or down. Some parts are heavy and can be
hazardous. Prevent accidents by nding someone to assist you during assembly. Make sure all bolts are
tightened before usage. Do not overtighten bolts as they can break. Always supervise children when using
our products. Never exceed weight limits of products. Do not jump on or use products in non-intended
ways. Proper maintenance is the key to enjoying your Nags Head Hammocks product for many years.

Products of Nags Head Hammocks are guaranteed to be free of defects in workmanship or material. We
will replace defective parts for free. Simply call us and we will see that you get what you need. Prolonged
exposure to weather conditions including snow, rain, and humidity are not covered under the warranty nor is
damage caused by normal wear, mildew, improper care including storage, maintenance, and assembly.

The Cypress Swing Stand comes in two boxes:
Box 1
S-2ST-CBEAMNHM
1 Top Section and 2 Top Braces
Box 2

4 Legs, 2 Leg Braces and Box of Hardware
The Box of Hardware contains: Also needed:
Rubber Mallet or Hammer
One Ratchet/Key with a size 9/16’’ Socket
Screwdriver that ts inside the holes of Socket Tool
STEP 1 STEP 2
Place two Legs and the Top Section on the ground.
Place a washer on the long bolt and insert. Use a
hammer/mallet to gently tap the bolts through the
holes. Place washer and nut on.
Put the Leg Brace in place using short bolts. Put the
washer in place and insert the bolt. Repeat STEP 1
and 2 on other side.
STEP 3 STEP 4
Using long bolts, insert Top Brace between the
Legs with pointed ends facing upward. Repeat on
other side.
Lift one end of the stand. You might need help for
this one!

Insert long Eye Bolts using a washer on each side. Note: Position the Eye Bolts perpendicular to the
stand.
STEP 5 STEP 6
Using a ladder or steps, tighten the eyebolts in
place. Repeat Step 4 and 5 on other side.
Secure ALL nuts and bolts. If you have a Deluxe
Bent Oak Porch Swing (swing with table between
the seats) you will need to use the additional Short
Eye Bolts. Simply insert them into the Top Braces
with a washer on each side.
