DEVICE DESCRIPTION
This device communicates through GSM/GPRS
networks only and is able to locate any object via
GPS satellites.
Usages:
•Protectionofchildren/theelderly/disabled,etc.
•Protectionagainsttheftofvehicles/heavy
equipment,etc.
•Toprovidepeaceofmindforbusinesses
•Personnelandvehiclemonitoring
DATA LOGGING
The tracker device uses an internal memory to sto-
re up to 8000 records. When the device loses the
GSM/GPRSsignal,GPSreceptioncontinuesandall
positions are automatically logged into the internal
memory according to the preset conditions. When
re-connected back to a suf cient GSM/GPRS
network,storedGPSpositionswillbesentautoma-
tically.
IfthedeviceiswithoutaGSM/GPRSsignalfortoo
long,itwillautomaticallyoverwritethememory,star-
tingfromtheoldestrecordeditem.
Pleasenote:everyGPSpositionmustbesentfrom
the device before it is displayed in the monitoring
software;NAMtrackerapplicationorotherapplica-
tions/systems.
SIM CARD
The device is already equipped with a SIM card as it
isasealedwaterproofunit.
The particular (specic to the tracker) information
about the SIM card and services can be found in
NAM tracker application.
OPERATING MODES
The device allows you to choose from 5 different
power-consuming modes some which will extend
batterylifeexpectancyandallowuseofthetracker
in the terrain without charging.
ABM (Activated by
Motion) – The device
switches on GPS at the
instant when it registers
movement. If the device
isnotinmotion,theGPS
switchesoff.Locationsareregisteredevery10se-
conds and location details are sent once a minute.
Thebattery lifecan befrom 1.6days (iftracker is
constantlyinmotion)to11days(ifthetrackerisnot
inmotionatall).
Car Chase – Location
detailsfromGPSaresent
every5secondsregardle-
ssofwhetherthevehicle/
tracker is moving or stan-
ding. The battery life is
around10hoursinthismode.
Standby – The tracker
does not monitor locati-
ons, the accelerometer
orthedetectionoftracker
removal in this mode.
However it is ready to
immediately accept signals for switching into a
differentmode(ABM,CarChase,Asleep,Periodic
wakeup)forwhenitisnecessarytore-startthemo-
nitoring process. The battery life is around 9 days
in this mode.

Asleep – The tracker
does not monitor locati-
ons, the accelerometer
orthedetectionoftracker
removalbutitisable(af-
ter a preset interval) to
acceptsignalsforswitchingthedeviceintoadiffe-
rent mode in order to re-start monitoring. The batte-
rylifecanbefrom21daysto144daysdepending
onhowoftentheintervalissettocheckforamode
change signal.
Periodic wake up – The
tracker is woken up after
apresetperiod,ndsout
itslocation,sendsthisin-
formation and then goes
back to sleep. The battery
lifecanbebetween10daysand126daysdepen-
dingontheregularityofthesetintervalforsending
location details.
Power OFF – This is the
recommendedmethodfor
storing the tracker device
when it is not being used.
The device is completely
switchedoff.Itispossibletowaketheunitandset
the required operating mode by charging the device.

DEVICE RECHARGING
The tracker is recharged by using a battery charging
pad,compatiblewiththeQiwirelesschargingstan-
dard.Westronglyrecommendusageofthesupplied
charging pad and the power adapter.
The charging pad must be plugged in and switched
on.Immediatelyafterinsertionintothepowersocket
theLEDlightshouldgiveoneshortblueash.
Placethetrackerontothepadwiththemagnetsfa-
cing upwards. Correct charging is signalized by a
blue LED. If, during charging of tracker devices
without magnets, the LED is not lit up, please
turn the tracker over, otherwise the tracker will
not be charged.
Ifthetrackerbatteriesarecompletelydischargedit
willtakearound4hoursforthemtobecompletely
recharged again.
Possible charging pad LED signals:
Solid blue LED – correct charging in progress
Flashing blue LED – charging has stopped due to
error (please see the trouble
shootingguide)
SolidgreenLED – charging has stopped, the
batteriesarefull
Troubleshooting of charging errors
•Removethetrackerfromthechargingpad,wait
5secondsandputitonthepadagain.Makesure
the position on the pad is slightly different from
thepreviousspotandclosetothecentreofthe
charging pad.
•If the LED starts ashing again, please place
a piece of solid plastic or piece of paper up to
3mmthickbetweenthebottomofthetrackerand
the top of the charging pad. Do not use any
metallic object.
•IftheblueLEDdoesnotlightupwhenthedevice
isputonthechargingpad,tryadifferentcharging
pad and/or switch the power adapter. It is strongly
recommended to use the supplied parts only.

Magnets
•Particular models of the device contain strong
neodymium magnets. The pull-strength (attrac-
tiveforce)maybeupto10kg.
•Mishandling could cause jamming of ngers or
skin between the device and other devices with
magnetsormetallicsurfaces.
•Keep magnets at a safe distance from pace-
makers, hearing aids, sensitive data storage
media (mechanical HDD), mechanical watches,
displays,ATMcardsandsensitiveelectronics.
•Vehicle keys, USB sticks, memory cards, and
mobile devices data storage (SSD, memory
cards) are not affected by magnetic elds and
shouldnotbeerased,damagedormalfunctioned.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Battery pack
The device contains a lithium battery. The battery
isnotuseraccessibleandisnotintendedforrepair
and/or replacement
•Useonlythechargersupplied withyour device,
or a charger with identical parameters. Use of
anothertypeofchargermayresultinmalfunction
and/orriskofdanger.
•Do not use the charger in very damp/moist
environments.Thesurfaceofthechargerand/or
the device may become hot during and shortly
aftercharging.Donotcoverthechargerwithany
object that will reduce cooling.
•Do not use the charger if it is visibly damaged.
Incaseofdamage,donotrepairanypartofthe
equipmentyourself!
•Never attempt to disassemble, repair or make
any modications to the device(s). This could
causedamagetothedevice(s) andeven bodily
injury. Any warranties will become void.
•If the battery pack is mishandled it could burst
causing a re or even chemical burns. Do not
expose the device or the battery pack to temper-
turesabove80°C(magneticdevicescouldlose
partoftheirattractiveforceaswell).
•Only recycle the device(s) and their batteries
according to your local laws.

THE DEVICE WARRANTY POLICY
AND PROCEDURES
The warranty for the TICK device is 12 months.
The 12 month warranty will commence upon the
day of the invoice date. The client has responsi-
bility to contact the ofcial distribution partner of
NAMsystemfromwhomtheTICKdevicewasbou-
ght.IftheofcialdistributionpartnerofNAMsystem
(ODP)isunabletoremotelysolveaunitmalfunction
fortheclient,theunitwillneedtobereturned.
Replacement of defective device(s)
Upon receipt the returned TICK device and/or the
device accessory, ODP will inspect the device for
physicaldamageandtestitsfunctions.Ifthedevi-
cemeetsthewarrantyconditions,ODPwillprocess
and ship new device(s) to the client according
to the exact quantity and type of device(s) being
returned. If results of the inspection indicate that
theproblemisaresultofphysicaldamageorother
external effects, conditions for Out of warranty
service(OWS)willapply.
Defective on Arrival (DOA)
A tracker device or device accessory is considered
DOAifitshowssymptomsofadevicefailure,that
prevents basic functioning, when taken out of the
boxandrstused.Ifyouconsiderthedeviceorits
accessoryasDOA,pleasecontactODPortheseller
from which you have bought the device. A DOA
requestcanbemadewithin14calendardaysofthe
invoice date.
If the device returned meets the conditions of the
DOA request, a replacement (of the same device
type) will be sent to you. The of cial distribution
partner or the seller will contact you with the repla-
cementdetailsandtheprocedureforreturningthe
DOAdevice/accessoryifneeded.
Out-of-Warranty Service (OWS)
Repairs of Out-of-warranty devices, accessories,
or damage not covered under the warranty will be
charged to the customer.
