Important health- and security information
If you use this product you should take precautions to avoid damages and legal
consequences. Follow precisely all security- and handling advice and keep it
carefully. Pay attention to all warning notices in the manual and on the device. To
avoid injury, electric shock, re and damages on the device, please pay attention
to the following notices.
Electrical Security
This product is intended for operation with power of rechargeable battery or the
stated power supply. Any other application can be dangerous and lead to loss of
any warranty claim for this product. Please use only the original accessory and
never other accessory which is not approved from the producer.
Careful handling of the battery
There is danger of re and burning, when the battery wont be used properly.
Do not disassemble, destroy, perforate, short-out or throw it into water or re or
expose it to temperature higher than 60°C (140°F).
RECYCLE OR DISPOSE USED BATTERY ACCORDING TO THE
LOCAL INSTRUCTION OR THE ENCLOSED INSTRUCTIONS,
FOR THIS PRODUCT.
SECURITY ADVICE REGARDING DIRECT SUNLIGHT
Make sure the device is not exposed to over humidity and extreme temperature.
Don’t let the device for too long in a vehicle or other places where the temperature

can rise up to 60°C (140°F), e.g. on the dashboard, window sill or behind a glas
panel, which is exposed to high UV-Light or the sun. In this case the device or the
vehicle can be damaged and the battery superheated.
Damages, which require a repairing
Disconnect in the following cases the device from the grid and contact an
authorized repairing specialist or the dealer:
• Liquidity or any item came into the product or an object got into the device.
• The product was exposed to rain or liquidity.
• The product fell down and is damaged.
• There are visible signs of overheating.
• The product does not work properly despite of correct operation.
Avoid using the device after high variation in temperature
If you expose the device to high variation in temperature or humidity, there may
be condensation in the device. In order to avoid damages wait until the humidity
is evaporated, before using it.
Cleaning the device
Do not use any chemicals to clean the monitor. Just use a wet cloth and dry the
display with a clean cloth.
Objects around the device
Pay attention that no items like pen or MP3 player lay about near to the monitor.
They can cause serious damages on the monitor which are not part of the
guarantee.
If you bring the device from a cold into a warm or from a warm
into a cold environment, let the device take over the temperature
before switching it on.
Sentinels and their meaning in this manual
Security advice which need to be noticed unconditionally otherwise
wrong handling can cause heavy damages or legal terms will be
violated.

1. Introduction
The 7“monitor is suitable for desktop monitor e.g. for network 19“cabinet or as
surveillance monitor for Firewall server as well as vehicle display in combination
with a Car PC. Its Touchscreen makes the use of a mouse or keyboard almost
unnecessary.

After connecting the monitor properly, switch it on and press the menu-button
either on the display itself or on the remote control. For the menu you will only
need the following keys “^ ”, “ v”, “< ” and “>”. With these arrows you can change
the settings in the menu/OSD according to your options.

Don’t expose the Monitor to permanent temperature above 60°C/140° F!
6. Possible Sources of Malfunction and Troubleshooting
6.1. The device cannot be switched on. Please check if the power supply to the
vehicle was set properly and if the Power button lights red. If the Power button
does not light in red, the power supply may not be set properly. Make sure
you are using the original power cable or power supply which is included in
delivery.
6.2. Your PC does not support the Autostart function and does not start the CD
ROM automatically. Please read http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/
Aa969329.aspx.
6.3. The display remains dark, although it is switched on. Please check the
correct selection of input via OSD. If the display is still dark and the power
button lights green and the other buttons blue, after pressing the Menu/OSD
button, there might be a defect. In this case please contact the support.
6.4. You can see a picture but the application does not t into the display. Scale
down the resolution of operating system. There was a resolution which is not
supported by the monitor.
The Navilock Repair Center aims to be as fair as possible. So we kindly ask you
to give a true error description. The error analysis helps to nd out if there was a
water damage, interference by a third party, a fall, overvoltage or wrong handling.
Often malfunctions are caused by minor errors. It is not always necessary to
immediately replace a product, because this will not correct a malfunction that is
not caused by the GPS hardware.
Before contacting your dealer, please contact the Navilock support. They will
provide you with help in a fast and easy manner, and help avoid unnecessary
replacement.

In such cases, describe the malfunction as accurately as possible in writing, add
the details for your device and the software you are using as well as operating
surrounding (Operating system, Servicepack version, CPU size and type,
memorysize, type of HDD and interface, etc. and send an email to support@
navilock.de.
A member of the support team will take care of your problem and work on a
solution.

7. Warranty period
Your GPS receiver will be repaired free of charge during the legal warranty
period, provided the damage was not caused by external impact, moisture,
fall or improper use. Your specialist dealer will help you with words and deeds.

Please send only parcels which are franked.
Please include a proof of purchase and a detailed error description. “doesn´t
work” or “defect” is not detailed. Please point out also how often a defect occurs.

WEEE-notice

in the disposal of disused electro devices. The primarily purpose of this directive

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE HINSICHTLICH DIREKTER
SONNENEINSTRAHLUNG
Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät nicht übermäßiger Feuchtigkeit und
extremen Temperaturen ausgesetzt wird. Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht über
einen längeren Zeitraum in einem Fahrzeug oder an anderen Orten liegen, an
denen die Temperatur auf über 60°C (140°F) ansteigen kann wie z.B. auf dem
Armaturenbrett eines Autos, dem Fensterbrett oder hinter einer Glasscheibe, das
direkt von der Sonne oder sehr starkem UV-Licht bestrahlt wird. Dabei können
das Gerät oder das Fahrzeug beschädigt und die Batterie überhitzt werden.
Schäden, die eine Reparatur erfordern
Trennen Sie in folgenden Fällen das Produkt von der Stromversorgung und
wenden Sie sich an einen autorisierten Reparaturfachmann oder den Händler:
• Eine Flüssigkeit ist in das Produkt eingedrungen oder ein Gegenstand ist
hineingeraten.
• Das Produkt war Regen oder Feuchtigkeit ausgesetzt.
• Das Produkt ist heruntergefallen oder wurde beschädigt.
• Es gibt sichtbare Zeichen der Überhitzung.
• Das Produkt funktioniert bei ordnungsmäßiger Bedienung nicht einwandfrei.
Vermeiden Sie, das Gerät direkt nach starken Temperaturschwankungen zu
benutzen
Wenn Sie das Gerät starken Temperatur- und/oder Luftfeuchtigkeitsschwa
nkungen aussetzen, kann es zu Kondensation im Gerät kommen. Um eine
Beschädigung des Geräts zu vermeiden, warten Sie so lange bis die Feuchtigkeit
verdunstet ist, bevor Sie das Gerät verwenden.
Reinigung des Gerätes
Benutzen Sie keine Chemikalien, um den Monitor zu reinigen. Verwenden Sie
einfach ein feuchtes Tuch und trocknen Sie den Bildschirm mit einem sauberen
Tuch ab.
Herumliegende Gegenstände im Umkreis des Gerätes
Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Gegenstände wie z.B. Kugelschreiber, MP3
Player usw. in der Nähe des Geräte ungesichert herumliegen. Sie können beim
Auftreffen auf das Gerät, dieses erheblich Beschädigen. Dieses unterliegt nicht
der Garantie.
Wenn Sie das Gerät von einer kalten in eine warme oder von einer
warmen in eine kalte Umgebung bringen, lassen Sie das Gerät
erst die Temperatur annehmen, bevor Sie es einschalten.

Der 7“ Monitor eignet sich als Desktop Monitor z.B. für Netzwerkschränke oder
als Überwachungsmonitor für Firewall Server sowie als Fahrzeug Monitor in
Verbindung mit einem CAR PC. Sein Tochscreen macht die Nutzung einer Maus
oder Tastatur nahezu unnötig.

Nachdem die Kabel richtig angeschlossen wurden, schalten Sie den Monitor
ein und drücken Sie die Menü-Taste, entweder auf der Fernbedienung oder
am Monitor. Sie benötigen im Menü nur folgende Tasten “^ ”, “ v”, “< ” und “>”.
Mit diesen Pfeiltasten können Sie im Menü/OSD die Einstellungen nach Ihren
Wünschen ändern.
