the localbuildingauthority.YourInstaller mayoffer toassistwiththisandinsomecases
undertakethecompleteapplication, lodgement, payment, etc.onyour behalf(afee
maybe incurred).
•INSTALLATION
All solidfuelheatingappliancessoldbyBroadysNZLtdmustbe installedtotherequire-
mentsof the StandardAS/NZS2918:2001 andthe product instructionssupplied bythe
manufacturer. Thisincludesthe“FINISHING”ofyourinstallatione.g.thecorrect vent-
ing,hearthsizing,andfasciaand/ormantlesurrounds.
Broady's NZLimited donot undertakeinstallationand/orsiteworkassociatedwiththe
installationof theproductswesell, nor warranttheirinstallation.Werecommend thatthe
installationof all solidfuelheating appliancesbecarried outbyaQualifiedRegistered
InstallerwiththeNZHome HeatingAssociation,ofwhichBroady'sare alsoamember.
Wecan provide alistoftheseinstallers, or if preferredvisittheirwebsitefor afull and
current listat www.nzhha.co.nz/membership.asp. BylistingtheseInstallers,it isnot
implied nor inferred that Broady's recommend themortheirwork.Asthe contract for in-

Ifanyelectrical/plumbingworkisrequired, itmustbe carriedoutbyalicensedElectri-
cian/Plumber.All electricalworkmust becarriedouttoAS/NZS3000orAS/NZS3100re-
quirements,plumbingworkcarriedout toappropriaterequirementsofAS3500.4.1or
NZS4603, and bothelectricalandplumbing tolocalregulatoryauthority.
•SAFETYWARNING
•Onlyuse dry, well seasonedfirewood. Neveruse driftwood ortreatedtimber
•DO NOTuse flammableliquidsoraerosolstostartorrekindlethefire
•DO NOTOVERFIRE–onlyuse thehighheatsettingwhenlightingthefireandreloading.
Once fireisalightreduce airslidecontrol tolowersetting.Overfiringmayresultinthe
warrantybecomingvoid.
•Replace damagedandwornoutconsumables like baffles,liners, airtubes, ropeseals
etcwithgenuinereplacementstoensurethecorrectandsafeoperationofthefireplace.
•Ifhotwaterboostersorboilersarefittedtheappliance mustbeconnectedtoanopen
ventedlow pressurehotwatersystem.
•Make suretheminimumsafetyheater-to-wall clearance distances aremaintainedbe-
tweentheheaterandanyheatsensitivematerials(furniture,drapes,blindsetc)
•SolidFuel heaterswithglass doorsarenottobeusedasanopenfire.
