Hydraulicuidordieselfuelleakingunderpressurecanpenetratetheskinandcauseinfectionor
otherinjury.Topreventpersonalinjury:Relieveallpressurebeforedisconnectinguidlinesorper-
formingworkonthehydraulicsystem.Beforeapplyingpressure,makesureallconnectionsaretight
andallcomponentsareingoodcondition.Neveruseyourhandtocheckforsuspectedleaksunder
pressure.Useapieceofcardboardorwoodforthispurpose.Ifinjuredbyleakinguid,seeyour
doctorimmediately.

Generalsafetyrules
Usecautionwhenoperatingthemachineonslopes.Raisedequipment,fulltanksandotherloadswillchangethe
centerofgravityofthemachine.Themachinecantiporrolloverwhennearditchesandembankmentsoruneven
surfaces.
Neverpermitanyonetorideonthemachine.
Neveroperatethemachineundertheinuenceofalcohol,drugsorwhileotherwiseimpaired.
Payattentiontooverheadpowerlinesandhangingobstacles.Highvoltagelinesmayrequiresignicantclearance
forsafety.
Hydraulicoilordieselfuelleakingunderpressurecanpenetratetheskin,causingseriousinjuryorinfection.
DONOTuseyourhandtocheckforleaks.Useapieceofcardboardorpaper.
Stopengine,removekeyandrelievethepressurebeforeconnectingordisconnectinguidlines.
Makesureallcomponentsareingoodconditionandtightenallconnectionsbeforestartingtheengineorpressurizing
thesystem.
Ifhydraulicuidordieselpenetratestheskin,seekmedicalattentionimmediately.
Continuouslongtermcontactwithhydraulicuidmaycauseskincancer.Avoidlongtermcontactandwashtheskin
promptlywithsoapandwater.
Keepclearofmovingparts.Looseclothing,jewelry,watches,longhairandotherlooseorhangingitemscanbecome
entangledinmovingparts.
Wearprotectiveequipmentwhenappropriate.
DONOTattempttoremovematerialfromanypartofthemachinewhileitisbeingoperatedorcomponentsarein

clearofdebris.
Apersonorpetwithintheoperatingareaofamachinecanbestruckorcrushedbythemachineoritsequipment.DO
NOTallowanyonetoentertheworkarea.
Raisedequipmentand/orloadscanfallunexpectedlyandcrushpersonsunderneath.Neverallowanyonetoenter
theareaunderneathraisedequipmentduringoperation.

Keepareausedforservicingthemachinecleananddry.Cleanupspilleduids.
Servicemachineonarmlevelsurface.
Installguardsandshieldsafterservicingthemachine.
Closeallaccessdoorsandinstallallpanelsafterservicingthemachine.
Donotattempttoclean,lubricate,clearobstructionsormakeadjustmentstothemachinewhileitisinmotionorwhile
theengineisrunning.
Alwaysmakesureworkingareaisclearoftools,parts,otherpersonsandpetsbeforeyoustartoperatingthemachine.
Unsupportedhydrauliccylinderscanlosepressureanddroptheequipmentcausingacrushinghazard.Donotleave
