Making music, listening to music, and
discovering new music with our friends: it’s
hard wired into who we are. We know that
most people out there feel the same way,
but are turned off by the cost, complexity
and attitude that’s wrapped around high
performance audio, so they settle for some
cheap and cheery plastic speaker system
instead.
That’s why we designed SuperPower; a self-
contained amplified speaker with just one
control – a power switch. SuperPower can
connect to any device you want to get great
sound from. Computers, iPods, TVs, mixing
boards -- anything with a headphone or line
output plays beautifully with SuperPower.
No proprietary cabling or special wireless
systems required, nothing to sync or pair.
Just plug SuperPower into the wall, plug in
your device, turn on the power switch and
start playing - they just work.
Details:
SuperPower shares much of its DNA with
the award winning NHT’s Professional M-00
Powered Speaker and SuperZero 2.0 mini
speaker. Like those excellent designs, Super-
Power features a 4.5” pulp cone woofer and
a 1” soft dome tweeter in a compact sealed
enclosure.
This sealed, or “acoustic suspension” design
is very important to the SuperPower, and
many other NHT designs. In an acoustic
suspension design, the air trapped inside
the enclosure acts as a spring to control
the woofer cone’s motion which helps keep
distortion low and allows the diminutive Su-
perPower to produce the sort of deep bass
and dynamics usually associated with much
larger speakers.
It’s not all about the bass though. Thanks to
careful engineering, careful components se-
lection and a compact, well-braced cabinet,
the SuperPower produces lifelike vocals and
a rock solid stereo image so you can hear all
the details buried in your favorite songs.
Providing the “Power” in SuperPower is a
muscular, yet sophisticated Class D ampli-
fier that provides a real 90 watts of clean
amplification. Because of its modern Class D
design, SuperPower’s amplifier is extremely
efficient converting up to 90% of the elec-
tricy used into music rather than heat. In
standby, SuperPower draws less power from
the wall than a single AA battery and when
you decide it time to get out of Dodge for
some R&R, we included a good, old-fashion
power switch on the back of each speaker
to bring power draw to zero.
The final contributor to SuperPowers stun-
ning performance is decidedly less romantic
but worth mentioning for the curious. It’s
the NHT inside - that little magical bit of
circuit board stuffed with electronic bits
where we pour our 20+ years of experience
that mates SuperPower’s amplifier with its
acoustics. We know our competitiors are
anxious retrieve this “magic bullet” to learn
our our secrets.
The secret behind SuperPower is, in fact, is
that magic that happens when the speaker
ends up being more than sum of its excel-
lent parts. We carefully designed every ele-
ment of the SuperPower to work together
perfectly, so you can enjoy your music
without having to worry about matching
the right amplifier, cables, and speakers

Musical Instruments
iPhone, Android, Blackberry, tablets, phone, pods,
whatever - SuperPower is ready out of the box to play
with them all. This can be as simple as a headphone to
RCA cable (included with every SuperPower) or add a
external DAC or volume control to squeeze the last bit
from every bit. The good news is SuperPower works
with them all, and the ones to come so you never have
to worry about your speakers getting obsolete when
Bluetooth turns to Redtooth or 4G becomes 5G.
i-Player
Make your desktop a serious (as in serious fun) place
to hear your favorite music and videos. Macs , PC’s
and whatever spins your HDD. You can get seriously
carried aways with this notion with 3rd party DAC’s,
cables, high-end music playback software, etc. You’ll
hear everything like never before from your pc hi-
system because there is no“room” between you
and your SuperPower speakers - just like a recording
engineer!
Shopping List: SuperPower, a PVC PC for easy volume
control, a Super 8 subwoofer to ll a bigger space or
to add bass and dynamics, a NHT PVC PC will usually
make things sound better and puts a knob handy for
volume, enthuiast might want to try a outboard DAC
like HRT’s iStreamer. Audioquest NRG power cables-
look cool and can be purchased in just the right length
you need to keep cable clutter minimized.

Super 8 sub-woofer, NHT Deskstands are a must. Fur-
ther consider cool custom length power cables from
Audioquest, outboard DAC’s like HRT and Benchmark
are all the rage. A PVC PC is another must so you don’t
dither your high resolution recording into lo-. Con-
sider buying high-rez music from HD Tracks!
Desktop Audio (PC hi-)
Most pc hi- speaker will just roll over and play dead
when you plug in a keyboard, sampler, turntable deck,
microphone or God forbid, a drum machine. Super-
Power has, well SuperPower and can handle “live”
musical instruments. with ease. Further, use them in a
home studio to make your own recordings for family,
friends or the Filmore. Make music and live long!
Shopping List: NHT SuperPower speakers x 2, NHT
Super 8 sub-woofer, NHT Deskstands, a small desk-
top mixer or NHT PVC PC. - add your drum machine,
ssampler, TT deck, microphone (plug into mixer). You’ll
need all sorts of cables with each device being dier-
ent. We’re musicians so call us if you need help. Don’t
forget about a good set of closed ear headphones to
monitor (listen) when you are recording in the same
room.
i-Everything
Making Music

Mario and friends dig great audio and so does the
game fan(s) in your house. SuperPower can reproduce
those whispers that can send shivers up your spine or
level your opponents bunker on demand. Add a Super
8 subwoofer if you want all the kids at your house.
Nice to have SuperPower in your holster. SuperPower
works with all game consoles and even handhelds.
SuperPower makes home hi- simple, portable and
exciting. Small, easy to move, easy to use, easy to clean
when you need to but ZERO quality constraints. Use
your small but mighty might system for all your music
and maybe your TV sound too! Rule #1 here is to keep
it simple and sounding magnicient. If you choose to

Shopping List: First thing after your SuperPower pair
is a great microphone from Shure, Blue or AudioTech-
nica or ? Consider a USB microphone. You might
need a (USB) mixer, a PC or Mac with audio software
like Adobe Audition, Apple’s Logic or GarageBand. Get
a nice video light, a camera tripod, and NHT PVC PC
and make us proud. Don’t forget the deskstands!
Shopping List: NHT SuperPower speakers x 2, NHT
Super 8 sub-woofer. You’ll want a good quality, fast
(120 MHz) refresh rate at panel TV, Audioquest GQ-
300 cables for Wii or Audioquest Forest HDMI cable for
X-Box and Playstation - go headphone or audio out
to a NHT PVC PC for easy volume control. Stir in some
games and let the fun begin.
Shopping List: A good stereo pre-amp, a good stereo
AM/FM tuner, NHT SuperPower speakers x 2, NHT

Express (to stream iTunes to your rig). Some cables to
hook everything together including your TV sound

and it’s damn fun. Just a few more blogs and YouTube
videos. Make them look and sound great (before your

Accessories
SuperPower was built without wireless or music stream
systems. We can hear the gasps - this was no omission,
rather by plan because wireless transmission systems
like Apple’s Airport, Bluetooth or Sonos Zone Players
and other change - fast. They get better and they get
cheaper and they get simpler. You don’t want to have
to change your speaker as a result. Fortunately, the
all have a headphone or line out and SuperPower can
plug into any and all of them. Imagine a multi-room
audio system using SuperPowers in every room.
Shopping List: SuperPower, maybe a PVC PC for easy
volume control if your system don’t have one handy
(like Airport Express), DeskStands, the wireless system
of choice like Airport Express, Sonos, NetGear or Logi-
tech. For high-end wireless Airport Express has optical
output - get a good outboard DAC or digital receiver.
Wireless Speakers
DeskStands - If you put a mirror under your Su-
perPower’s you’ll see their reection from where
you sit, so does the sound. This rst reection
creates another, longer path to your ear (bad) - a
direct route to your head is always the best. The
DeskStand is a “green” design manufactured with
minimal waste and no welding - 10 ga. carbon
steel does just what it looks like and allows your
SuperPower’s to sing.
Add A Subwoofer - Picking up the low frequencies
where the SuperPower leaves o is the Super 8 125
watt powered subwoofer . This 11” cube extends
SuperPower’s bass and dynamics to somewhere
just past ridiculous. Benecial in larger rooms,
home theater systems, or anywhere you need a bit
more oomph. The Super 8 is a perfect match with
the SuperPower and together they produce sound
that many audiophile tower speakers can only
dream of.
Controlling Volume - Software volume controls
“dither” the quality of your music to somewhere
just north of AM radio. The PVC-PC lets you open
those controls all the way up to let all the music
come through while putting a knob within easy
reach. It also simplies adding a Super 8 powered
subwoofer and keeps the cable snarl to a mini-
mum. The PVC-PC features dual inputs and outputs
on 3.5mm and RCA connectors.
