VR image stabilization
Nikon’s Optical VR image stabilization
compensates for the effects of camera
shake to realize sharper results. This
frees you to enjoy capturing special
moments without worrying about slight
hand movements, particularly in lower

Smile Mode and Blink Warning
Smile Mode automatically releases the
shutter when your subject smiles, helping
you to faithfully record smiles in the brief
instants they appear. Face Recognition
allows you to register a subject and places
priority on that subject for smile detection.
Blink Warning alerts you when it suspects
that a subject has blinked, allowing you
to immediately retake the shot and get
the desired results. Furthermore, select
Portrait mode from Scene modes and the
Smile Indicator will display a gauge that
lets you identify the best smiles on faces.
