• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning the
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
• Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of the
packaging in accordance to the regulations of local
authorities.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
Nisbets Essentials agent or a recommended qualified
technician in order to avoid a hazard.
• Nisbets Essentials recommend that this appliance should
be periodically tested (at least annually) by a Competent
Person. Testing should include, but not be limited to: Visual
Inspection, Polarity Test, Earth Continuity, Insulation
Continuity and Functional Testing.

connected to a circuit protected by an appropriate RCD
(Residual Current Device).

Installation
Notes:
• The appliance should be disconnected from the power supply during installation.
• The appliance should not be left unattended for long periods of time.
• The appliance will become hot so must be placed on a suitable heat and steam resistant surface. It is not
suitable for polished wood surfaces.
• Maintain a distance of 50cm between the appliance and walls or other objects for ventilation.
• We suggest installing a water filtration system in the case of a hard water supply.
1. Connect the water inlet hose (supplied) to the
appliance then to the water supply.
2. Ensure the water pressure of the connected water
supply is between 0.2-0.6Mpa (Flow rate ≥ 4L/min).
3. Ensure the water temperature of the connected water
supply is between 0-40°C.
4. The use of a stop cock is recommended to isolate the
unit from the water supply for servicing.

Note: Only use the water inlet hose supplied with the appliance. Other hoses are not suitable
and should not be used.
Control Panel
Display: To show the water

“Refilling” indicator light: When lit,
auto filling of water starts; when off,

lit, water has reached pre-set
temperature and ready for drinking;
when off, water not ready yet.
“Error” indicator light: When lit,

code will be shown on the display.

the appliance starts to heat water;
when off, heating stops and water
has reached pre-set temperature.
“No Water” indicator light: When lit,
the appliance is low in water and auto
filling of water starts. When off, water
filling stops.

Operation
Nisbets Essentials recommend that the appliance is cleaned out before using for the first time, or if the
appliance has been sat unused for an extended period of time.
1. Put the drip tray in place (if necessary).
2. Connect to the mains power supply. The appliance is powered up at once and shows “OFF”.
3. Press the “ON/OFF” switch. The display shows the temperature first, then flashes “ELL”.
4. The “Refilling” indicator light and the “No Water” indicator light illuminate together. The appliance then
starts automatic filling.
5. After filling, the “Heating” indicator light illuminates indicating the appliance starts to heat water; when
the light off, heating stops indicating a rapid heating cycle has been completed.
6. When the “Ready” indicator light illuminates, the water has reached pre-set temperature and ready for
drinking.
7. Dispensing water: Place a vessel beneath the tap and pull the tap handle towards you to begin dispensing.
Raise the tap handle to close the tap.
8. Use the first 2/3 boiling cycles to test the water connection and flush out the system. Discard the hot
water from these initial cycles.
NOTE: Before the boiler chamber is full, the boiler will automatically keep running the “filling-
then-heating” cycle. When the “Ready” indicator light comes on and the display shows “98°C”,
the water has reached the pre-set temperature and suitable for drinking.
NOTE: During operation, steam may rise from the appliance and loud bubbling noises may be
heard. This is perfectly normal.
9. To turn off the appliance, press the “ON/OFF” switch for 5 seconds. The display will show “OFF”.
Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
Warning: Before cleaning and maintenance, always turn off the appliance, disconnect it from
the power supply, and let it cool sufficiently.
• Use warm, soapy water and a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the appliance.
• DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or pads.
• Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
Emptying the appliance
In case the appliance will not be used for an extended period
of time, empty it thoroughly.
1. Turn off the water supply.
2. Remove the cap from the drain outlet (on the bottom)
and let water flow into a suitable container.
3. Re-locate the cap in place afterwards.

De-scaling
For the best water quality, Nisbets Essentials recommend that a water filter is installed to the mains water
supply, particularly in hard water areas. Doing so will reduce the build up of limescale and contaminants in the
water tank thus maintaining energy efficiency and prolonging the life of the appliance.
To de-scale the appliance:
1. Turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power
supply.
2. Remove the cleanser inlet cap. Then pour a solution of
de-scaler and water into the appliance via the inlet.

Note: Always use a suitable de-scaler and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the length of time
required to soak, water temperature and on how to dispose of the solution safely.
3. Drain the solution and discard safely.
4. Re-start the appliance and let it run 2 or 3 boiling cycles to flush out the system and remove any de-scaler
residue. Empty the appliance afterwards.
5. The appliance is now ready for use.
IMPORTANT: Failure to de-scale or maintain will invalidate your guarantee.

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin BS1363 plug and lead.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency disconnection
being required they must be readily accessible.

Installatie
Toelichtingen:
• Het apparaat moet tijdens de installatie worden losgekoppeld van de stroomvoorziening.
• Het apparaat mag niet gedurende langere tijd onbeheerd worden achtergelaten.
• Het apparaat wordt heet en moet daarom op een geschikte hitte- en stoombestendige ondergrond
worden geplaatst. Het is niet geschikt voor gepolijste houten oppervlakken.
• Zorg voor een afstand van 50 cm tussen het apparaat en muren of andere voorwerpen voor ventilatie.
• Wij raden aan een waterfiltersysteem te installeren in geval van toevoer van hard water.
1. Sluit de watertoevoerslang (meegeleverd) aan op het
toestel en vervolgens op de watertoevoer.
2. Zorg ervoor dat de waterdruk van de aangesloten
watertoevoer tussen de 0,2 en 0,6 Mpa ligt (Debiet
≥4L/min).
3. Zorg ervoor dat de watertemperatuur van de
aangesloten watertoevoer tussen de 0 en 40 °C ligt.
4. Het gebruik van een afsluitkraan wordt aanbevolen
om het apparaat te isoleren van de watertoevoer voor
onderhoud. Watertoevoer:

Opmerking: Gebruik alleen de watertoevoerslang die bij het apparaat is geleverd. Andere
slangen zijn niet geschikt en mogen niet worden gebruikt.
Bedieningspaneel
Display: Om de watertemperatuur of
de foutcode te tonen
Controlelampje “Refilling” (Bijvullen):
Als het lampje brandt, begint het
automatisch vullen van water; als
het lampje uit is, stopt het vullen van
water.
Controlelampje “Ready” (Gereed): Als
het lampje brandt, heeft het water
de vooraf ingestelde temperatuur
bereikt en is het klaar om te drinken;
als het lampje uit is, is het water nog
niet klaar.
Controlelampje “Error” (Fout): Als
het lampje brandt, is er iets mis met
het apparaat. Ondertussen zal een
relatieve foutcode op het display
worden getoond.
Controlelampje “Heating”
(Verwarming): Als het lampje brandt,
begint het apparaat het water te
verwarmen; Als het controlelampje
uit is, stopt het verwarmen en heeft
het water de vooraf ingestelde
temperatuur bereikt.
Controlelampje “No Water” (Geen
water): Als het lampje brandt, heeft
het apparaat te weinig water en
begint het automatisch water te
vullen. Wanneer het lampje uit is,
stopt het vullen van water.

Bediening
Nisbets Essentials raadt aan het apparaat schoon te maken voordat u het voor de eerste keer gebruikt, of als
het apparaat langere tijd niet is gebruikt.
1. Zet de lekbak op zijn plaats (indien nodig).
2. Sluit het apparaat aan op het elektriciteitsnet. Het apparaat wordt in één keer ingeschakeld en geeft
"OFF" aan.
3. Druk op de “ON/OFF” (AAN/UIT) schakelaar. Op het display verschijnt eerst de temperatuur en daarna
knippert "ELL".
4. Het controlelampje “Refilling” (Bijvullen) en het controlelampje “No Water” (Geen water) gaan samen
branden. Vervolgens begint het apparaat automatisch bij te vullen.
5. Na het vullen gaat het controlelampje “Heating” (Verwarming) branden om aan te geven dat het apparaat
water begint te verwarmen; als het lampje uit is, stopt het verwarmen om aan te geven dat een snelle
verwarmingscyclus is voltooid.
6. Wanneer het controlelampje “Ready” (Gereed) gaat branden, heeft het water de vooraf ingestelde
temperatuur bereikt en is het klaar om te drinken.
7. Water tappen: Plaats een kan onder de kraan en trek het waterkraantje naar u toe om te beginnen met
tappen. Doe het waterkraantje omhoog om het waterkraantje te sluiten.
8. Gebruik de eerste 2/3 kookbeurten om de wateraansluiting te testen en het systeem door te spoelen.
Gooi het warme water van deze eerste cycli weg.
OPMERKING: voordat het opslaggedeelte van de koker vol is, blijft de koker automatisch de
cyclus "vullen-dan-verwarmen" doorlopen. Als het controlelampje “Ready” (Gereed) gaat
branden en het display “98 °C” weergeeft, heeft het water de vooraf ingestelde temperatuur
bereikt en is het geschikt om te drinken.
OPMERKING: Tijdens het gebruik kan er stoom uit het apparaat opstijgen en kunnen er harde
borrelende geluiden worden gehoord. Dit is volkomen normaal.
9. Om het apparaat uit te schakelen, drukt u gedurende 5 seconden op de “ON/OFF” (AAN/UIT) schakelaar.
Op het display verschijnt dan "OFF".
Reiniging, zorg & onderhoud
Waarschuwing: Schakel het apparaat voor reiniging en onderhoud altijd uit, haal de stekker uit
het stopcontact en laat het voldoende afkoelen.
• Gebruik warm zeepwater en een vochtige doek om de buitenkant van het apparaat schoon te maken.
• GEBRUIK GEEN schurende reinigingsmiddelen of schuursponsjes.
• Droog het apparaat grondig na het schoonmaken.
Leegmaken van het apparaat
Als het apparaat gedurende langere tijd niet wordt gebruikt,
moet het grondig worden geleegd.
1. Sluit de watertoevoer af.
2. Verwijder de dop van de afvoeropening (aan de
onderkant) en laat het water in een geschikte bak
stromen.
3. Plaats de dop daarna weer op zijn plaats.

Ontkalken
Voor de beste waterkwaliteit raadt Nisbets Essentials aan dat een waterfilter wordt geïnstalleerd op de
hoofdwatertoevoer, vooral in gebieden met hard water. Hierdoor wordt de opbouw van kalkaanslag en
verontreinigende stoffen in de watertank verminderd zodat de energiezuinigheid wordt behouden en de
levensduur van het apparaat wordt verlengd.
Om het apparaat te ontkalken:
1. Schakel het apparaat uit en haal de stekker uit het
stopcontact.
2. Verwijder de inlaatdop van het reinigingsmiddel. Giet
vervolgens een oplossing van ontkalker en water via
de inlaat in het apparaat.

Opmerking: Gebruik altijd een geschikte ontkalker en volg de aanwijzingen van de fabrikant met
betrekking tot de tijd die nodig is voor het inweken, de temperatuur van het water en de manier waarop
de oplossing veilig moet worden verwijderd.
3. Voer de oplossing af en gooi deze veilig weg.
4. Start het apparaat opnieuw op en laat het 2 of 3 kookcycli draaien om het systeem door te spoelen en
eventuele ontkalkingsresten te verwijderen. Maak het apparaat daarna leeg.
5. Het apparaat is nu klaar voor gebruik.
BELANGRIJK: Als u het apparaat niet ontkalkt of onderhoudt, wordt de garantie ongeldig.

Elektrische bedrading
Men dient de stekker op een geschikt stopcontact aan te sluiten.
De bedrading van dit apparaat is als volgt:
• Stroomkabel (bruin) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met L
• Neutraalkabel (blauw) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met N
• Aardekabel (groen/geel) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met E
Dit apparaat moet worden geaard.
Bij twijfels raadpleeg een vakkundige elektricien.
De elektrische isolatiepunten mogen niet worden geblokkeerd. In geval van een nooduitschakeling moeten de
isolatiepunten direct toegankelijk zijn.

product niet onder huisvuil valt en als zodanig ook niet mag worden verwerkt. Ter
preventie van mogelijke gevaren voor de gezondheid van personen en/of voor het milieu,

Consignes de sécurité
• Placez l’appareil sur une surface plane, stable.
• L’installation et les éventuelles réparations doivent être
confiées à un dépanneur/technicien qualifié. Ne retirez
aucun élément de ce produit.
• Consultez les normes locales et nationales pour vous
conformer à ce qui suit:
- lois sur l’hygiène et la sécurité au travail ;
- codes de bonnes pratiques BS EN ;
- précautions contre le risque d’incendie ;

Installation
Remarques:
• L’appareil doit être débranché de l’alimentation électrique pendant l’installation.
• L’appareil ne doit pas être laissé sans surveillance pendant de longues périodes.
• L’appareil devient chaud et doit donc être placé sur une surface appropriée résistant à la chaleur et à la
vapeur. Il ne convient pas aux surfaces en bois poli.
• Maintenez une distance de 50cm entre l’appareil et les murs ou autres objets pour assurer la ventilation.
• Nous suggérons d’installer un système de filtration de l’eau si votre eau est calcaire.
1. Raccordez le tuyau d’arrivée d’eau (fourni) à l’appareil
puis à l’alimentation en eau.
2. Assurez-vous que la pression de l’eau raccordée est
comprise entre 0,2 et 0,6MPa (débit ≥4L/min).
3. Assurez-vous que la température de l’eau raccordée
est comprise entre 0 et 40°C.
4. L’utilisation d’un robinet d’arrêt est recommandée
pour isoler l’appareil de l’alimentation en eau aux fins
de son entretien. Entrée d’eau:

Remarque: Utilisez uniquement le tuyau d’entrée d’eau fourni avec l’appareil. Les autres tuyaux
ne sont pas adaptés et ne doivent pas être utilisés.

Fonctionnement
Nisbets Essentials recommande de nettoyer l’appareil avant de l’utiliser pour la première fois. Il est également
recommandé de le nettoyer s’il est resté inutilisé pendant une longue période.
1. Mettez le bac d’égouttement en place (si nécessaire).
2. Branchez l’appareil sur le réseau électrique. L’appareil est mis sous tension immédiatement et affiche
«OFF».
3. Appuyez sur l’interrupteur «ON/OFF» (MARCHE/ARRÊT). L’écran affiche d’abord la température, puis
«ELL» clignote.
4. Le témoin lumineux «Refilling» (Remplissage) et le témoin lumineux «No Water» (Pas d’eau) s’allument
en même temps. L’appareil commence alors le remplissage automatique.
5. Après le remplissage, le témoin lumineux «Heating» (Chauffage) s’allume, indiquant que l’appareil
commence à chauffer l’eau; lorsque le témoin s’éteint, le chauffage s’arrête, indiquant qu’un cycle de
chauffage rapide s’est achevé.
6. Lorsque le témoin lumineux «Ready» (Prêt) s’allume, l’eau a atteint la température préréglée et est prête
à être consommée.
7. Pour dispenser de l’eau: Placez un récipient sous le robinet et tirez sa manette vers vous pour
commencer à dispenser de l’eau. Relevez la manette du robinet pour le fermer.
8. Utilisez les deux ou trois premiers cycles d’ébullition pour tester le raccordement d’eau et rincer le
système. Jetez l’eau chaude de ces premiers cycles.
REMARQUE: Avant que le compartiment de la bouilloire ne soit plein, celle-ci continue
automatiquement à fonctionner selon le cycle «remplissage puis chauffage». Lorsque le
témoin lumineux «Ready» (Prêt) s’allume et que l’écran affiche «98°C», l’eau a atteint la
température préréglée et convient aux boissons.
REMARQUE: Pendant le fonctionnement, de la vapeur peut s’échapper de l’appareil et de forts
bruits de bulles peuvent être entendus. Ceci est parfaitement normal.
9. Pour éteindre lappareil, appuyez sur l'interrupteur «ON/OFF» (MARCHE/ARRÊT) pendant 5secondes.
L’écran affiche «OFF».
Nettoyage, entretien et maintenance
Avertissement: Avant de procéder au nettoyage et à l’entretien, éteignez toujours l’appareil,
débranchez-le de l’alimentation électrique et laissez-le refroidir suffisamment.
• Utilisez de l’eau chaude et savonneuse et un chiffon humide pour nettoyer l’extérieur de l’appareil.
• N’utilisez PAS de nettoyants ou de tampons abrasifs.
• Séchez soigneusement après le nettoyage.
Vider l’appareil
Si l’appareil n’est pas utilisé pendant une période prolongée,
videz-le complètement.
1. Coupez l’alimentation en eau.
2. Retirez le capuchon de la sortie de vidange (en bas) et
laissez l’eau s’écouler dans un récipient approprié.
3. Remettez ensuite le bouchon en place.

Détartrage
Pour une qualité d’eau optimale, Nisbets Essentials recommande d’installer un filtre à eau sur son alimentation
en eau, en particulier dans les régions où l’eau est calcaire. Cela réduira l’accumulation de calcaire et de
contaminants dans le réservoir d’eau, ce qui maintiendra l’efficacité énergétique et prolongera la durée de vie
de l’appareil.
Pour détartrer l’appareil:
1. Éteignez et débranchez l’appareil de l’alimentation
électrique.
2. Retirez le capuchon de l’entrée du détartrant. Versez
ensuite une solution de détartrant et d’eau dans
l’appareil par l’entrée.

Remarque: utilisez toujours un détartrant approprié et suivez les instructions du fabricant concernant la
durée de trempage, la température de l’eau et la façon d’éliminer la solution en toute sécurité.
3. Videz la solution et jetez-la en toute sécurité.
4. Remettez l’appareil en marche et laissez-le effectuer 2 ou 3cycles d’ébullition pour rincer le système et
éliminer tout résidu de détartrant. Videz ensuite l’appareil.
5. L’appareil est maintenant prêt à être utilisé.
IMPORTANT: Si vous ne procédez pas au détartrage ou à l’entretien, votre garantie sera annulée.
