1.1 Intended use
The adjustable mounting solutions are intended to be used in industrial and technical
environment in addition with the noax Industrial PCs S15P, S19P, S21WP and S21WR.
Additionally the adjustable Table Stand is intended to be used together with the noax
Industrial PCs C15, C15P, C19 and C21W.
The mounting solutions where tested and approved together with the mentioned IPCs
and mating Connector Protections.
Installation of additional equipment, domestic use and usage together with other
devices is not allowed. Also the mounting solutions have to be inaccessible for chil
dren.
Usage of the mounting solutions in food processing and pharmaceutical industry is
possible too. If products to be processed get in contact with the adjustable mounting
solutions, these are not allowed to get back into the production process. Pay attention
on regular and professional cleaning of the mounting solutions.
It is not allowed to use the mounting solutions in areas with hazardous explosive
atmosphere.
Also the adjustable mount solutions are not designed for conditions where are shocks
or vibrations. If this conditions can't be avoided, the mounting solutions have to be
securely mounted on fitting shock or vibration absorbers.
Use the mounting solutions only in good condition and without damages. If there are
apparent damages, put the mounting solution out of operation.
Disassembling the mounting solutions, e.g. for repairs, is not allowed.
Any other use of the adjustable mounting solutions differing to the mentioned points
above is not in compliance with the intend of use and not allowed.

1.2 General information
The attachment of the Industrial PCs on the mounting solutions is done via the VESA
MIS‐D,100,C mount of the IPCs – based on the “VESA (FDMI™) standard”.
(attachments at a distance of 100 mm square to one another).
All four mounting points at the mounting brackets of the adjustable mounting solutions
have to be used for installation. Also pay attention to the chapter for VESA mounting
from the user manual of the Industrial PC.
There are drill holes on the right and left side of the mounting solution for a optional
protecting earth connection.
Mechanical catches allow you to adjust the device to the desired position at 10° inter
vals with little force. Two locking handles are used to lock the position of the device
securely in place.
The position locking for the device and the function of the locking handles have to be
checked in periodic intervals. If one of these checks is negative, the mounting solution
have to be put out of operation.
Keyholes in the mounting brackets of the mounting solutions allow noax Industrial PCs
to be mounted easily and conveniently.
Caution - Risk of electric shock!
To avoid damages, the cables have to be routed to the Industrial PC in a way, that they
can't be rushed or sheared off.
If a connector protection is been used with the mounted Industrial PC, the alignment of
the connector protection has to be choosen in a way, that damages of cables will be
avoided when the position of the IPC on the adjustable mounting solution is changed.
Choose the mounting position of the adjustable mounting solution regarding to er
gonomic principles and pay attention to lightning conditions, viewing angle and so on.
For choosing suitable cleaning agents, a list with the used materials from the ad
justable mount solutions can be requested from the noax hotline.

2 Table Stand adjustable
The Table Stand adjustable is intended to be used on a plain, horizontal mounting
surface.
Below the scope of delivery and specifications of the Table Stand adjustable are ex
plained. Notes for installing the Industrial PC onto the mounting solutions are explained
in chapter 5, notes for handling the mounting solutions can be found in chapter 6.

If the Industrial PC is tilted more than 45° or the Table Stand stands not secure,
the Table Stand have to be fastened to the mounting surface! noax recommends
the fastening to the mounting surface. To do this, use all 4 holes in the bottom of the
table stand. In this case, the rubber feet are not installed. Use suitable fastening
material for the table stand (e.g. suitable for underground and weight / force)!

2.3 Installation of the rubber feet
Caution!
For safety reasons, a table stand with rubber feet attached may only be installed
and used on a horizontal surface.
The following tools are required to install the rubber feet:
DAllen key, size 4
DOpen end wrench, box wrench or socket wrench, wrench size 8 mm
Note:
The rubber feet should be installed before the Industrial PC is installed.

"Place a M5 washer over an M5x18mm hexagon socket screw
"Insert the hexagon socket screw with the washer into the rubber feet (see Fig. 7)
"Put the screw in the rubber feet from below through the mounting hole in the table
stand (see Fig. 8)
"Place another M5 washer on the hexagon socket screw and finally screw on a
M5 cap nut (see Fig. 9)
"Using a size 4 Allen key to hold the screw in place, screw the M5 cap nut on tightly
with an SW 8 socket wrench, box wrench or open end wrench (1.5 Nm torque).

3 Wall Mount Bracket adjustable
The Wall Mount Bracket adjustable is intended to be installed on a vertical, stable wall
or mounting surface.
Maximum installation height for the Wall Mount Bracket is lower than 2.0m
Below the scope of delivery and specifications of the Wall Mount Bracket are explained.
Notes for installing the Industrial PC onto the mounting solutions are explained in
chapter 5, notes for handling the mounting solutions can be found in chapter 6.

Use strong enough mounting anchors to install the Wall Mount Bracket on the
wall or on the mounting surface! Make sure the wall mount bracket is attached
securely!
Note: The extraction force on a mounting screw is about 300N (e.g. with a mounted
S21WP IPC), the shear force on a mounting screw is about 40N.

4 Mount on Stainless Steel Floor Stand
The Mount on Stainless Steel Floor Stand is intended to be used only on a noax Stain
less Steel Floor Stand (part no. 13259).
Additionally pay attention to the product information of the Stainless Steel
Floor Stand
Below the scope of delivery and specifications for the Mount on Stainless Steel Floor
Stand are explained. Notes for installing the Industrial PC onto the mounting solutions
are explained in chapter 5, notes for handling the mounting solutions can be found in
chapter 6.

4.3 Install the mount on noax Stainless Steel Floor Stand
Caution!
Make sure the stainless steel floor stand is positioned securely and properly fastened
before installing the mount!
The following tool is required to install the mount on the floor stand:
DAllen key, size 5

"If the cables have already been run through the stainless steel floor stand, guide
them through the hole in the bottom of the mount.
"Position the mount for the stainless steel floor stand on the top of the stainless steel
floor stand. Make sure the hole in the bottom of the mount lines up with the mount
ing hole in the top of the stainless steel floor stand.
"Use 4x M6x10mm hexagon socket screws and M6 washers to attach the mount
(size 5 Allen key, 7.5 Nm torque).
"Now attach the Industrial PC to the mount (see chapter 5)
If the position of the Stainless Steel Floor Stand has to be changed, please follow
this steps:
"Remove connector protection and cables from the noax Industrial PC
"Remove the Industrial PC from the mounting bracket
"Remove the top of the Stainless Steel Floor Stand with the mounting bracket
"Change the position of the Stainless Steel Floor Stand and fasten it again properly
"Insert the top of the Stainless Steel Floor Stand with the mounting bracket
"Mount the Industrial PC onto the mount bracket (see chapter 5)
"Connect the cables to the IPC and mount the connector protection again

5 Installation of the Industrial PC on the
adjustable mounting solution
5.1 Safety instructions
Caution!
Make sure the mounting solution is installed securely on the floor space, the wall or the
stainless steel floor stand! This will prevent the device from falling after being installed
on the mounting solution.
To install the Industrial PC use only the enclosed mounting bolts!
They have the optimal length for installing the device on the mounting solution.
5.2 Installation steps
The following tool is required for installation:
DAllen key, size 5
The following steps provide an example of how to install the Industrial PC S21WP
on an adjustable mount for the stainless steel floor stand.
"If present, remove the cover screws from the VESA100 attachment on the back of
the IPC housing.
"Screw the four mounting screws for the IPC into the VESA100 threading until a
5mm gap remains open between the head of the bolt and the housing cover.
The mounting screws are included with the adjustable mounting solution.
"Make sure the mounting solution is mounted securely
(here, to the stainless steel floor stand)
"Move the two mounting brackets of the mounting solution one or two click stops
upward (10° or 20°) from the vertical position. Pay attention to the parallel align
ment of the surfaces of the mounting brackets and screw the locking handles tight.
This will make it easier to hang the housing in the “keyholes” of the mounting
bracket.

"Check whether the two mounting brackets are locked securely into place and then
position the IPC housing in front of the adjustable mounting solution.
"Guide the heads of the previously screwed‐in mounting screws through the large
holes of the keyholes in the two mounting brackets until the IPC housing fits snugly
against the mounting brackets.

"Move the housing downward so the screws will slide into the narrow slots of the
keyholes.
"BEFORE releasing the housing, check whether all four mounting screws are stick
ing through the mounting brackets and are placed in the narrow slots.
"Following this, tighten the mounting screws (size 5 Allen key, 7.5 Nm torque).

6 Handling the mounting solution
6.1 Safety instructions
Danger of crushing and jamming limbs!
If there is uncontrolled movement of the Industrial PC, limbs can be jammed between
IPC and mounting solution. Also limbs can be crushed or jammed between parts of the
mounting solution.
Therefore, hold the housing on the bottom when adjusting the mounting solution.
Caution - Risk of electric shock!
To avoid damages, the cables have to be routed to the Industrial PC in a way, that they
can't be rushed or sheared off.
Caution!
Do not apply more than 30 kg load to the mounting solution!
Any load greater than this will cause irreparable damage to the mounting solution
and/or uncontrolled movement of the Industrial PC.
Note:
Tighten the locking handles only when they are locked in position!
This will ensure that the IPC housing will be held in place in the position selected.
Note:
To adjust the mounting solution, just loosen the locking handles and do not unscrew
them! Always tighten both locking handles again after adjusting the mounting solution!
The locking handles ensure the device is positioned securely.
6.2 Adjusting the the mounting solution
"Hold the housing of the Industrial PC on the bottom!
This will prevent undesired movement of the IPC after the locking handles are
loosened.
"Loosen both locking handles one after the other until the Industrial PC can be
moved. Do not unscrew the locking handles!
"Move the Industrial PC into the desired position and selected the closest click
position.
"Tighten both locking handles.
"Lift the Industrial PC slightly and tighten the locking handles again. This will improve
the click‐in position again.
