INSTRUCTION MANUAL Discharge Gun Mount (03-00061B)
1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the discharge gun mount (03-00061B). The product is intended as a
mount to attach a discharge gun for ESD tester calibration. It is compatible with our discharge
guns GT-30R(A),TC-815R,TC-815S.
2. Instructions
Please read this manual for safety information before use. For safety instructions and warranty
terms, refer to the instruction manuals for the static electricity tester and discharge gun. The
product should be handled by persons who understand this manual and static electricity testing
procedures for the safe use of the product.
3 . Installation
Follow the steps below to install the discharge gun mount to a target mounting board
(03-00052B) or Faraday cage (FC-200).
(1) Fix the discharge gun mount to the target mounting board by using two screws supplied with
the product (M4×25 with spring washer/flat washer).
In case of fix the discharge gun mount to the Faraday cage, using two screws supplied with
the product (M4×16 with spring washer/flat washer).

(2) Insert the tip of the discharge gun through the hole in the mount and fit the tip end to the
concave portion at the center of the target.
* The figure shows the GT-30R(A) discharge gun. The setup is the same as with the
TC-815R/S discharge gun.
Note
If the tip end cannot be fitted to the concave portion at the center of the
target,
loosen
the
mounting
screws of the mount to adjust the position.

(3) After placing the discharge gun on the mount, attach the rubber band as shown below.
Rubber band

Pick up the end of the rubber band.

Strap the rubber band on the handle
portion of the gun.
Hook the end of the rubber band.

4. Mounting hole dimensions
When fixing the discharge gun mount to an object other than the target mounting board or
Faraday cage, the user should make mounting holes with the dimensions shown below.
Load resistor mounting hole
8-M3 (or Φ 3.5)
Mounting hole for the discharge gun mount
2-M4 (or Φ 4.5)
