Spectra 30 Control Board Kit - P/N 1124812
This instruction sheet describes how to replace the control board in the
Spectra 30 pattern controller
WARNING: Risk of personal injury or equipment damage! Refer to
the safety information provided in the melter manual before servicing
the melter. Failure to comply with the safety information provided can
result in personal injury, including death.
Required Tools:
Small Phillips screwdriver
M6 socket
Large flat screwdriver
Control Board
NOTE: The previous control board kit, Part Number 1123818 with control board, Part Number 1122026, has been discontinued. However, if the
customer has the previous boards, they need to use the following items provided in this new kit, Part Number 1124812:
– Water shield
– Wiring diagram tag
–Terminalblocks
Continue
Removing the Control Board
Allow only personnel with appropriate training and experience to operate or
service the equipment. The use of untrained or inexperienced personnel to
operate or service the equipment can result in injury, including death, to
themselves and others, and damage to the equipment.
Warning:
1. Turn off the pattern controller switch and disconnect the input power supply.
2. Unfasten the four captive screws (see ain Figure 1) to remove the pattern
controller front cover.

3. Remove the display ribbon cable (see cin Figure 2) by lifting up the cable
connector lock tabs and carefully pulling it out.

cut wire ties that hold the Ethernet cable.
4. Unfasten the two captive screws that hold the touch screen
panel to the base panel (see din Figure 2).

5. Remove the touch screen panel (see ain Figure 2) by
compressing the standoffs (see bin Figure 2).
6. Disconnect the following cables (see Figure 3):

8. Unfasten the four screws (see bin Figure 4) to remove
the old power supply board (see ain Figure 4).
9. Remove the four hexagonal stands (see cin Figure 4).

10. Remove the four plastic standoffs (see din Figure 4).
11. Remove the six remaining terminal block connectors
from the controller board (see ein Figure 4).
12. Unfasten the seven mounting screws from the con-
troller board and remove. See Figure 1 in Installing the Con-
troller Board.
1. Install the new controller board (see ain Figure 1) and
secure with the seven screws (see bin Figure 1).

2. Re-install the four hexagonal stands (see cin Figure 1).
3. Re-install the four plastic standoffs(see fin Figure 1).

4. Install the power supply with the four mounting screws (see
din Figure 1).
5. Reconnect the following:

7. Re-connect the display ribbon cable (see bin Figure 2 in
Removing the Controller Board). Make sure to lock the ribbon
cable in place by pressing the cable connector.
8. Re-install the pattern controller front cover by
re-fastening the four captive screws (see ain Figure 1 in
Removing the Controller Board).
9. Turn on the power supply.
