TheTrustyOne is designed to serve as an in-car
extension of your regular mobile phone, only easier
to operate while in the car.
TheTrustyOne oers several features, which will
satisfy many dierent user needs. After a quick and
simple set-up, it is easy to make and receive
handsfree calls and play your favorite music on
either your phone or music player.
This user guide will help you get started as we
present you with all the great features and
conveniences that provide a truly customized user
experience.

Automatic pairing
When your mobile device recognizes novero
TheTrustyOne, it will automatically establish
a secure Bluetooth connection and confirm
when pairing is complete.
Pairing with PIN 0000
When your mobile device recognizes novero
TheTrustyOne, select it and confirm with
PIN=0000. Your mobile device will confirm when
pairing is complete.
To pair TheTrustyOne with your mobile device, activate the Bluetooth feature of the device and search
for novero TheTrustyOne. See the user guide for your mobile device for instructions.
Depending on your mobile device, pairing may be accomplished in one of two ways:

When TheTrustyOne is turned on for the first time, it will automatically set the language to English.
You may change the language or turn o voice prompts

update tool allows
software updates with
dierent languages.

Press P/ M to switch from
phone mode to music mode
or vice versa.
TheTrustyOne automatically starts up in phone mode when turned on. If the connected phone is also a
music player – or if both a phone and a music player are connected to TheTrustyOne – it is very simple to
switch between the two modes. Music is played from a dedicated music player or the primary phone.
If you want to play music from the secondary phone, please switch device roles.

multipoint
With multipoint, you can pair and connect TheTrustyOne with two mobile devices at the same time, e.g.
a work phone and a private phone. One phone will be assigned primary status and the other secondary
status. Use the primary phone to both make and receive calls. Use the secondary phone only to receive
calls, and change device status by pressing just one button.
Long press (> 1 sec.) P/ M

With the basic call functions of TheTrustyOne, you can manage incoming calls with only the push – or
turn – of a button. If you activate voice output, TheTrustyOne will tell you who is calling.

For maximum flexibility, you can transfer an active call from your phone to TheTrustyOne or vice versa, if
e.g. you need to leave the car. A call can be transferred using TheTrustyOne as well as your phone.

With TheTrustyOne in music mode, you have all the essential tools to play your favorite music right at
hand. When entering music mode, TheTrustyOne automatically starts the music player.

Go through the list of suggestions below if you experience
any inconvenience with TheTrustyOne Universal Bluetooth
Car Kit.
• If your phone does not connect automatically when
you turn the ignition key:
Go to the Bluetooth menu of your phone and set
TheTrustyOne as authorized or trusted device to allow
automatic connections without user confirmation.
• If you do not hear a ringing tone:
Make sure that your phone is not in silent mode.
• If the person at the other end complains about the
audio quality:
Check that the microphone is pointing towards your
mouth.
• If you have problems voice-dialing:
TheTrustyOne provides one-click access to the voice
recognition functions of your phone. Please check the
user guide of your phone regarding its voice recognition
features. If you do not hear a tone, please try the feature
without driving and look at the phone display to
determine the recognition window.
• If you want to update the software of your car kit:
Go to www.novero.com and install the novero software
update tool. Please install it on a PC and then connect
TheTrustyOne with a USB cable through the micro-USB
connector on the remote control.
• If you do not find an answer to your question here:
Please go to www.novero.com. If you wish to call our
helpline, you will find the number for your country on our
website. Please be prepared to provide the model and SW
version of your phone, as this information will be helpful
to identify the root cause and a solution to the problem.
