What is Humidity?
Humidity is the amount of dampness or water vapor in the air.
What is Relative Humidity (RH)?
The Relative Humidity is the relative ratio of the amount of dampness or water vapor in the air, at a specific
temperature, to the maximum amount that the air could hold at that temperature, expressed as a certain
percentage.
What are the Consequences of Low Humidity Levels to the Human Body?
When a person is exposed to low humidity levels, his or her hydration levels will be reduced and many
negative bodily symptoms either occur or are aggravated.
Here are some of the common symptoms:
• Blocked, stuffed or running nose • Difficulty in breathing • Sore and dry throat
• Electrostatic shocks • Dry, scaly and chapped skin • Sore and dry eyes
• Fatigue, sleeplessness and poor concentration
• Encourages infections and illnesses of our respiratory system like Asthma
• Dry skin diseases like Eczema are aggravated in change of humidity levels
What is the Desired Relative Humidity Level?
In tropical countries like Singapore, the weather outdoors is extremely hot and humid. Hence, usage
of air-conditioning systems is commonplace. However, air-conditioning systems dry the surrounding
air and cause an extreme drop of humidity levels.
A comfortable atmosphere indoors between 60% to 70% relative humidity is the recommended level.
Why use Ultrasonic Technology for Humidification?
Ultrasonic Technology is an extremely effective and economical method of maintaining and moderating
the relative humidity level in the surrounding air. Ultrasonic Technology works in soundless operation and
creates high oscillations and vibrations that transform water into fine vaporized mist. This mist is then
dispersed into the surrounding air to add humidity into the air.
How does the novita Humidifier NH890 Work?
When water is poured into the Water Tank, it flows into the Water Reservoir. Here, the water comes in
contact with the ultrasonic resonator called the Nebulizer. The Nebulizer vibrates in a rapid speed of up to
one million times per second. This high-speed vibration causes the water to break up into minute fine
droplets that then pass through the Mist Outlet. A Fine mist is then produced, and blown into the air. This
increases the humidity level in the room effectively.

REGULATED MIST VOLUME CONTROL
Regulate the mist volume of NH890 by choosing between 3 different
levels to customize your experience according to your desired
preference.

DUAL MIST OUTLET
For a more comprehensive coverage of the surroundings, NH890 has 2
mist outlets which can be rotated to allow the user to direct the airflow
to where it is needed for optimal efficiency.

DUAL-HUMIDIFICATION METHODS
NH890 adopts 2 types of ultrasonic vibration humidification methods
namely heat vaporizing (warm mist, up to 80oC) and ultrasonic
humidification (cool mist, room temperature). If you are looking for
faster humidification, the warm mode has definitely got you covered.

HUMIDITY LEVEL CONTROL
Control the level of RH% best suited for you and your family with the
humidity range from 40% RH to 75% RH (at an increment of 5%) or
continuous mode (CO).

HYGROSTAT PRE-SET HUMIDITY LEVEL
Equipped with an in-built hygrostat that works as an automatic sensor
of the surrounding relative humidity and hence facilitates it to
continuously moderate and sustain your desired relative humidity.
When the pre-set or programmed relative humidity is reached, the
humidification process will pause automatically. Alternatively, if the
relative humidity drops below the pre-set level, the humidification
process will auto resume again.

Ensure that the power cord is removed from the power supply at all times during installation, refilling of water,
maintenance and transportation.
• The unit might stop operation from time to time in the following conditions:
1. The programmed RH% is met.
2. There is a shortage of water supply inside the water tank.
3. There is a disruption of power supply.
POWER ON/OFF
Tap button once to switch on the unit. Unit operates in 60% RH,
medium mist level and warm mode by default. To switch off, tap
button once again.
• The mist outlet is stored inside the water tank, please remove
prior to usage.
• DO NOT use water above 40oC.
• When a filled water tank is placed onto the humidifier
base, the sound of gurgling water is normal as water is
travelling from water tank into the water reservoir.
Remove the unit from all packagings. Check and ensure that there
are no foreign objects inside the water tank or water reservoir.
Remove the water tank from the base and fill it with clean,
tepid or cool water from the tap.
Fasten the cap of the Water Tank snugly and place it back
onto the Humidifier Base. Wait a moment for the water to
fill up the water reservoir. Attach the mist outlet onto its
designated compartment.
Select a stable surface to situate the unit. Plug the power cord
into the power supply and power on and the display screen
flashes “88” twice.

02 CONTROL DISPLAY SCREEN LUMINOSITY
To dim the display screen luminosity, simply tap and hold button.
• After dimming the display screen, tapping the button once again
will switch off the unit.
• Unit is programmed with medium mist volume setting by default.
HYGROSTAT FOR PRE-SET HUMIDITY LEVEL
When the pre-set or programmed RH% is reached, the
humidification process will pause automatically and there
will be no mist output. If the relative humidity drops below
the pre-set level, the humidification process will auto
resume its operation.
MIST VOLUME SETTING
Tap button consecutively to select user’s preferred mist
volume (low, medium or high) settings. The selected setting will
be displayed on the display screen.
WARM MODE
Tap button to activate warm mode and “●” at the bottom
right hand corner of the display screen illuminates.
Under this mode, warm mist of up to 80oC will be produced and
dispersed into the surrounding air to facilitate faster
humidification rate.
HUMIDITY SETTING
Tap button consecutively to select user’s preferred humidity level
from 40% RH to 75% RH (at an increment of 5%) or continuous mode
“ ”. The selected RH% will flash twice and unit will operate in
accordance to the selected setting and shortly, the display screen
will revert back to the surrounding RH%.
WATER SHORTAGE INDICATOR
When water level runs low the “ ” water shortage indicator
illuminates on the display screen, to notify user that a refill of
the water tank is required.
• At continuous mode “ ”, unit continues to humidify regardless of
the surrounding RH% level and will only come to a stop when the
water level is running low.

• It is recommended to clean and maintain the NH890 after every usage or whenever changing to a new scent, to
prevent compromising the scent due to traces of preceding concentrate/essential oil blend residues.
• You may regulate the volume of the concentrate in accordance to user’s
personal preference. For optimum air sanitization properties, refresh every 8 hours.
• For external use only. Keep the novita air purifying solution concentrate out of
reach of children and store away from heat and direct sunlight.

• Avoid during pregnancy and in cases of severe asthma.

Using Air Purifying Solution Concentrate/Essential Oil Blend
• novita Humidifier can be used with novita’s specially formulated Air Purifying Solution Concentrate and Naturale
Essential Oil Blend only. Warranty will not cover any damages caused by the use of other brands/types of pure
essential oils/blends/concentrate or other solutions/additives.
• DO NOT sprinkle the novita air purifying solution concentrate into the water tank.
• DO NOT sprinkle the essential oil blend into the water tank.

• AIR PURIFYING SOLUTION CONCENTRATE
Recommend 1ml of concentrate to every 100ml of water for
approximately 80 ft2 coverage. Gently swirl to homogenous the novita
air purifying solution concentrate content.

Sprinkle directly from the bottle into the filled water reservoir 4 times.
Each sprinkle is approximately 1ml.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
BEFORE YOU START:
- DO NOT use any detergents, solvents or aggressive agents to clean the unit.
- DO NOT use brushes or cloths that are abrasive or might cause scratches or damage to the unit.
- DO NOT allow water to sit in the tank for more than 1 week.
To Clean the Body Casing
The novita Humidifier NH890 should always be regularly
maintained and cleaned. For external maintenance,
regularly use a damp cloth to wipe the surface to prevent
the accumulation of dust.
Attach the demineralization filter onto the inner
side of the water tank cap.
Screw and tighten the cap back onto the water
tank, and place the water tank back onto the
unit base.

Using Demineralization Filter
For optimum performance, it is recommended to replace the novita demineralization filter every 90 days/approx.
540 hours*.
*Based on 6 hours a day, 7 days a week usage under normal domestic indoor environment.

Proceed to use the nebulizer brush to gently clean the
water level sensor to prevent mineral scaling and
deposition. Ensure the water float sensor can move and
pivot freely in order to actuate the Water Shortage
Indicator when the water tank is empty.
To Clean the Water Tank
Remove sediments or scale buildup by shaking the
Water Tank vigorously after refilling the Water Tank.
Pour out the water and wipe the internal tank
thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Storing Guide
To keep or store the novita Humidifier NH890, ensure that water is thoroughly drained, removed and
dried from the Water Tank and Water Reservoir before storing in a cool and dry place.
To Clean the Nebulizer
Completely clean the surface of the Nebulizer and the
surrounding scale and foreign particle buildup using the
Nebulizer Brush provided or a soft cloth.
IMPORTANT
1) When the Nebulizer is not regularly cleaned, the
efficiency of the unit will be compromised or even
damaged depending on the severity.
2) DO NOT clean the Nebulizer with any solvents or
aggressive agents.
3) DO NOT scratch or rub the surface of the Nebulizer
with a sharp article.

Pour water away from the Water Reservoir as shown in the
picture. DO NOT let water get into the Fan Outlet. Remove
sediments or scale buildup inside the Water Reservoir by
using a damp cloth to wipe the surface.

Read the operating instructions manual carefully before using the humidifier and keep them for later

Persons who are not familiar with the operating instructions, as well as children and persons under
the influence of medication, alcohol or drugs are not advised to operate the humidifier, or are only
advised to operate it under supervision.
Only operate the humidifier when it is completely assembled.
Always ensure that there is sufficient water in the Water Tank before operation.
Use only clean, tepid or cool tap water to fill the tank.
If using novita Demineralization Filter, DO NOT use in conjunction with novita Air Purifying Solution
Concentrate / Essential Oil Blend and vice versa.
Always have the Mist Outlet and Water Tank in place while the unit is operating. Rotate the Mist Outlet so
that it is aimed away from walls or furniture.
Refrain from overloading your power supply with multiple power plugs.

and stated countries for the period of 12 months on all parts commencing from the date of original
purchase and does not include installation, removal and reinstallation.
This product and all parts thereof are hereby guaranteed to the purchaser/user to be free from defects in
material and workmanship.
Please retain the original purchase receipt for verification purposes when required. To be eligible for
limited warranty coverage, Product has to be registered by the original end-user purchaser/user within 7

This limited warranty is not transferable and shall not extend to anyone other than the original
purchaser/user of this Product and does not include cleaning of the Product during the specific period.
Eligibility for limited warranty coverage is limited to repair, or replacement of any parts (excluding
consumable parts and accessories exhausted through usage that may be packaged or sold together from
the Product) which proves to be manufacturing defects within the applicable limited warranty period.
Limited warranty coverage does not extend to damages and/or defects resulting from:
a. Accidents, abuse, misuse, improper installation, or any manner of tampering.

This limited warranty does not apply/cover for:
a. Parts requiring replacement due to normal wear and tear, corrosion or stain.
b. Damage due to usage of other incompatibility equipment/solutions/accessories being used in
conjunction with the covered Product.
c. Transportation, delivery and incidental cost incurred in fulfilment of this limited warranty. The
purchaser/user shall be fully responsible for the due delivery of the Product for any repair work to
novita and for the subsequent collection. Any Product to be repaired must be sent to the service centre
directly. No outdoor servicing will be provided. novita can provide collection and return service and a
transportation fee of S$24 is applicable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, novita shall not be in any way liable for any incidental or
consequential, direct, indirect damages whatsoever caused by the breach of any express, implied or
statutory warranty or condition. Except to the extend prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty or
condition of merchantability of fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the
above limited warranty. novita disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations, express,
implied, statutory or otherwise. novita shall not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the
purchase, use or misuse of, or inability to use the product including incidental, special, consequential or
similar damages or loss of revenue or profits, failure to realize savings or other benefits, or for any breach
of contract, fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought against purchaser/user by any other
party, regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based, and even if novita has been advised of the
possibility of such damages.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the purchaser/user assumes all risk and liability for loss,
damage or injury to the purchaser/user and their property and to any third parties and their property
arising out of the use, misuse, lack of periodic servicing and proper maintenance or inability usage of the
novita Product.
This limited warranty will be invalidated and rendered void upon the usage of any non-original
filters/parts/accessories that is not approved by novita for the use with the product.
This limited warranty is void if the serial number on the Product had been removed, erased, defaced,
altered, tampered or is illegible.
novita will repair or replace this product at their option and at no charge with new or reconditioned parts
or Product if found to be defective during the limited warranty period specified above. novita does not
warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the product. All replaced Product or part, or fully
refunded Product, shall become the absolute property of novita and must be returned to novita.
Replacement parts and Products assume the remaining original limited warranty.
In the event that the Product is out of stock, obsolete or beyond repair, novita reserves all rights to replace
the Product with another similar value as deem appropriate, subject to availability. In no event shall any
recovery against novita exceed the actual price paid for the purchase of the Product.
novita reserves all rights to impose charges for services on the Product which are outside the perimeter of
limited warranty coverage. novita also reserve the right to decline Product servicing
where the Product is obsolete, no longer deemed serviceable or replaceable for any reason.
If any section, provision, clause, sentence or part thereof of this limited warranty is held to be void, invalid
or unenforceable, it shall be modified necessarily to make it valid and enforceable, and it shall not in any
way be affected or impaired thereby.
novita shall reserve the right to modify or change the terms and conditions herein due to change(s) in
availability of Products and/or spare parts or for the purposes of complying with applicable policies, rules,
regulations and law, without prior notice.
With the proceeding of the Product usage, it means the purchaser/user have read, understood and agreed
on the novita’s Product usage and limited warranty terms and conditions and also acknowledged that
novita’s limitations of liability are reasonable and within the context and circumstances under which it is
applied on.

• An order confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address within 7 working days after
receiving th extended limited warranty purchase order and payment and the system will be updated within
14 working days.
• Extended limited warranty commencement date is inferred from product purchase date or installation;
