5. OPERATIONS
Dry Don’t allow water or other liquids to drop or splash on the
unit.
Cool
Ambient air temperature should be between -10℃and
40℃(14℉and 104℉) – the cooler the better within this
range.
Ventilated
Leave at least 2” (5cm) clearance around the Jumpstarter

gases. These gases are very corrosive and prolonged
exposure will damage the Jumpstarter
The unit should be operated only in locations that meet the following
requirements:
WARNING: Fire Hazard
Never allow jumpstart cables’ red and black clamps to touch each other or
another common metal conductor. This could cause damage to the unit
and/or create a sparking/explosion hazard.
WARNING:
The connection of the jumpstart cables to the vehicle’s battery terminals must
be positive to positive (red clamp to battery “+”) and negative to negative
(black clamp to battery “-“). A reverse polarity connection may cause damage
to the unit and/or create a sparking/explosion hazard.
NOTE:
Closely follow these instructions for jumpstart your vehicle as they may be
different from the instructions supplied with other jumpstart products or
jumpstart cables.

8.
The procedures to jump start a vehicle:
(1). Turn off the vehicle and all accessories.
(2). Place the NPOWER Jumpstarter on a flat and stable surface near the
battery which need to be started. Ensure that the Jumpstart power switch is
“OFF”.
(3). Connect the red positive (+) clamp of the cables to the positive (+) terminal
of the engine battery.
(4). Connect the black negative (-) clamp of the cables to the engine block,
cylinder head, or other stationary heavy metal part of the motor. If the red
“Reverse Polarity” LED illuminates, then reverse polarity has been detected.
Correct polarity must be established before proceeding. Disconnect the
Jumpstart clamps from the vehicle’s battery and do the steps (3) and (4) again.
(5). Switch on the Jumpstart power switch. Before starting the engine, make
sure the Jumpstarter and the cables are clear of the metal parts and other
moving things.
(6). Crank the engine for 5 seconds or until it starts, whichever is first.
WARNING: Fire hazard
Do not crank the engine for more than 5 seconds. The Jumpstart feature is
designed for short term operation only. Operating the Jumpstart feature for
more than 5 seconds may cause damage to the unit. Allow the NPOWER
Jumpstarter to cool down for at least 3 minutes after each boost.
(7). Switch off the Jumpstart power switch.
(8). Remove the red positive (+) clamp and then the black negative (-) clamp
from the engine battery.
6. RECHARGING
WARNING:
Do not charge the unit in wet or moist locations because it may cause severe
electric shock and injury may result.
WARNING:
Do not charge the unit immediately after any severe discharge or heavy usage.
Wait half an hour to let the battery of the unit cool down first.

9.
NOTE:
Recharge the NPOWER Jumpstarter after each use.
When not used the Jumpstarter, it should be recharged every 3 months!
WARNING:
Make sure that no 12V DC appliance connects to the NPOWER Jumpstarter
during charging!
Must not be used when the NPOWER Jumpstarter is charged!
Recharging the battery with the AC charging adapter
The procedures to recharge the unit with AC charging adapter :
(1)Turn the rotary switch to the “OFF” position.
(2) Plug AC charging adapter into charging jack.
(3) Plug AC charging adapter into 110V AC electrical socket.
(4)Never stop until the battery is fully charged for about 28 hours.
CAUTION:
The 28-hour charging time for the unit assumes that there is 110V at the AC
wall outlet. If the voltage is less than 110V AC, it may take more than 28
hours to fully recharging.
Once fully charged, the charging current automatically reduces to a floating
charge mode, and the unit may be left permanently connected to the AC
charger.
Features:
Input voltage: 13.5V
Input current: 0.5A
Protection: Yes
Recharging the battery with the jumpstart clips
WARNING: Fire Hazard
Never allow cables’ red and black clamps to touch each other or another
common metal conductor. This could cause damage to the unit and/or create
a sparking/explosion hazard.

10.
WARNING: Fire Hazard
The connection of the cables to the power source must be positive to positive
(red clamp to battery “+”) and negative to negative (black clamp to battery “-“).
A reverse polarity connection may cause damage to the unit and/or create a
sparking/explosion hazard.
To recharge with the jumpstart clips:
1. Ensure that the jumpstart power switch is “OFF”.
2. Connect the red positive (+) clamp of the cables to the positive (+) terminal of
power source.
3. Connect the black negative (-) clamp of the cables to the negative (-) terminal
of power source. If the red “Reverse Polarity” LED illuminates, then reverse
polarity has been detected. Correct polarity must be established before
proceeding. Disconnect the jumpstarting clamps from the vehicle’s battery and
do the steps 2 and 3 again.
4. Turn on the jumpstart power switch.
5. Turn on the power source to charge the battery.
Features:
Input voltage: 13.5V
Input current: 2A (recommended)
Protection: No
Charging with the DC to DC charging cable with 12 V Power outlet (the
DC-DC cable is not included)
CAUTION: When using the DC-to-DC charging cord, there is no automatic
overcharge protection once the battery is fully charged. Do not leave the unit
connected without supervision. Detach the DC-to-DC charging cord from the
unit and the vehicle as soon as the battery is fully charged or if the vehicle’s
engine is turned off. Do not leave the jumpstarter indefinitely connected to the
vehicle’s 12 V accessory outlet.
WARNING: Fire and Explosion Hazard
Do not use this recharging method if your vehicle’s electrical system operates
above 15V. This may lead to accumulations of hydrogen, causing exposure to
fire and explosion hazard. This condition is typically found in marine appliances
or portable generators with DC output.

11.
To recharge with the DC-to-DC charging cord:
1.Ensure that no DC or USB equipment is connected to the jumpstarter and
that all switches and buttons on the jumpstarter are set to the OFF position.
2.Plug one end of the DC-to-DC charging cord into the 12 V outlet located on
the front of the jumpstarter.
3. Plug the other end of the DC-to-DC charging cord into the 12 V accessory
outlet of a running vehicle.
4. The Charging indicator will illuminate.
5. When charging is complete, the charged indicator will illuminate.
6. Unplug the charging cord from the vehicle first, then from the jumpstarter.
7. 12V DC OUTLET
8. TROUBLESHOOTING
It is for optional 12V power accessories with cigarette plug. Use the portable
power outlet for power supply, fishing and camping trips, extended running
for mobile phones, camcorders, computers and so on by combining your unit
with an inverter provides 110V AC power.
NOTE:
There is no 12V cigarette plug attached for this unit!
