How to use [anti-superheating burner]
Caution
◆ Features of anti-superheating burner
◆ Automatic extinguishing safety device
•This new burner adding a temperature sensor detecting the temperature of pot, which is
the most efficient safety device, can measure the temperature of the bottom of pot during
cooking, reinforcing the existing safety function preventing superheating.
•Except for automatic fire-extinguishing device as well known, the burner is also equipped with
anti-superheating function and fire accident preventive function, assuring your safe cooking.
Especially, a home with kids or the elderly may use it safely and conveniently.
•Overflowing soup during cooking or extinguished
burner by wind may automatically stop gas supply,
preventing any leakage.
◆ Pot fire prevention
◆ Take the measures as follows if the anti-superheating function starts.
•Have you ever forgot turning it off while you were
heating soup? The anti-superheating burner may
automatically detect overheat before a fire, shutting
off gas.
◆ Oil superheating prevention
•The anti-superheating burner measures the
temperature of a pot during cooking and shut off the
gas before reaching the risky temperature. Especially,
during frying, which is more dangerous cooking, it may
shut off the gas before spontaneous combustion,
preventing a fire.
① First, turn the knob to “OFF(extinction)” and
shut off the middle valve.
② As a pot may be overheated, carefully lift a pot.
② After cooling down a burner and surroundings
(especially, anti-superheating sensor), you can
use it again(the residual heat may interrupt
ignition.
OFF[extinction]
middle valve closed
※The anti-superheating burner does not cook automatically. Also, it does not prevent food burning. Anyone can
make a cooking mistake and it prevents a fire accident.

How to use [anti-superheating burner]
Caution
◆ How to use cookware
• Regarding the safety function of the anti-superheating burner, the relation between
anti-superheating sensor and cookware is very important. The top of anti-superheating sensor
and the bottom of cookware should be stuck together.
•Oil volume for frying should
be 300cc at least.
•The center of cookware should be
aligned to the center of the
anti-superheating sensor.
•The bottom of cookware should be flat.
•Insufficient volume of cooking oil may
cause a fire.

◆ Precautions of using anti-superheating burner
■ Cooking
•It may be extinguished if cooking while moving with cookware.
•When re-heating curry or stew, put some water and cook with it set to “Low”.
■ Anti-superheating burner is intended for safe cooking.
•The anti-superheating burner can shut off any gas leakage by the anti-superheating sensor and
prevent a fire but it does not automatically cook. The product is a more convenient and
safe burner.
■ If automatically extinguished while cooking
•
The reason of automatic extinguishment during cooing
is due to safety function operated and improper cookware.
•In addition, if the sensor is cooled down suddenly in a time,
it may recognize abnormal sensor, automatically
extinguishing it.
■ Do not alter the anti-superheating sensor without
permission
•It may cause a fire from overheat.
■ Do not apply excessive impact on the sensor.
•The sensor may not work properly due to deformation and inclination.
■ Check whether it moves up and down properly during cleaning.
•If not, a pot may be inclined, boiling over and getting burned.
•Repair or inspect it if it does not work normally.
•Often check whether it combusts during use.
•Boiling or heating thick soup such as curry and meat source or bean paste soup may cause
bumping suddenly.
◆ Safety Cautions of anti-superheating burner
Bumping means the symptom that liquid is heated over a
specific temperature and boils over. When heating water,
milk, soya milk, liquor, soybean paste soup, coffee and
other liquid, it may happen due to minor reason
(shaking or adding salt or sugar). If it occurs actually while
cooking, it boils over, resulting in burn or injuries.

Caution

◆ How to avoid bumping
◆ Read it carefully to operate the anti-superheating sensor
■ Do not use it unless the top of the sensor is not stuck on the bottom of a pot.
• When heating thick soup such as curry and meat source or bean paste soup, use low fire while
stirring(do not use high fire).
To add seasonings such as salt or sugar to hot soup, wait for a while until it is cooled down slightly.
Heat it with a fire suitable for a pot.
• As the sensor may not detect the temperature correctly, it may cause a fire from overheat,
extinguishment or damage of cookware.
• Using a grate(trivet) for Chinese food may cause the sensor not stuck on the bottom of a pot.
◆ Precautions of Frying
■ Do not try to fry frozen food as the food is stuck on the center of a pot.
• If frying as frozen food is located on the center of a pot, the sensor may not detect the temperature,
probably resulting in a fire.
■ Do not use cooking oil several time for frying.
• Brown oil by several uses, murky oil or oil with residue of frying may cause easy ignition.
■ Do not fry food excessively
• Especially be careful when frying food like croquette with batter and more moisture.
■ Pour oil until frying food to be dipped into oil enough(300cc and more)
• Insufficient or reduced volume of cooking oil may be dangerous. Especially, frying with wide and
thin pot may cause ignition as the food is not dipped enough.
◆ Precautions of using round bottom pot
with one handle
■ Make sure to cook with handle held
■ Check whether the bottom of a pot is stuck
onto the sensor.
• The anti-superheating sensor may not work unless
a pot is stable, depending on a type.
■ Do not try frying cook in a pot of heat-resisting glass or earthenware, or deep and wide pot.

generate leakage gas. Therefore, make sure to extinguish it and ventilate enough
to ignite it again.
•Note that if the heat detection part of automatic gas shutdown device is stained
with impurities or the gap is changed, the automatic shutdown time may be
delayed.
•Regulate the fire level.
•Checking ignition, stay it for 2 or 4
seconds with the knob held.
•Release the main gas valve and the
middle valve.
•Place cookware onto the product.
