NZXT HEADSET STND

NZXT HEADSET STND
INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the NZXT Headset Stand!
(We call it the STND) Whether you are a professional streamer, a
casual player, or a hardcore gamer; we’d like to welcome you to the
NZXT family of high-end gaming peripherals.
This NZXT Headset STND is designed to be an easy to use and
great looking storage device. It is engineered to provide even more
functionality when used in concert with the NZXT MXER (see below).
When connected to the NZXT MXER, the STND automatically
switches between speakers and headsets that are connected to the
MXER. For example, if you are listening to your headset and want to
hear your audio through your speakers instead, simply remove your
headset and rest it on the top of the STND; your headset volume will
fade out, and your speakers will turn on with a soft start. Swapping
audio works in reverse, as well: if you are listening to audio through
a set of connected speakers, you can switch the audio output to
your headset automatically by lifting the headset off the STND, and
your speaker volume will then become muted.
The NZXT STND comes complete with an attached messenger cable
with 2.5mm connector designed to communicate with the NZXT
MXER (please note: NZXT MXER is not included in this package and
sold separately). The messenger cable enables the STND to tell
the NZXT MXER whether you are using your headset or speakers.
If you don’t have the NXZT MXER yet, or don’t plan to get one, the
connector can be conveniently docked into the storage jack on the
back of the STND, so you can keep this cable and connector hidden
neatly out of the way.
This manual will help you set up your NZXT STND, and sort out any
trouble with a troubleshooting guide. It also contains important
warranty information in case your STND should ever malfunction or
need repair.

NZXT HEADSET STND
The NZXT Headset STND was designed to be a sleek and modern place
to store any type of headphones or headset. Even more functionality is
unlocked by connecting the Stand to the NZXT MXER.
ABOUT THE NZXT
HEADSET STND
ABOUT USING THE HEADSET STND WITH THE NZXT MXER
The complete NZXT Audio system consists of the NZXT STND (described in this
guide), the NZXT MXER, and NZXT AER Headsets. All of the NZXT audio system
components are high-end desktop PC gaming audio products by themselves,
but combined together, they unlock additional functionality and performance.
The NZXT MXER enables easy switching between headsets and attached
speakers. When the MXER is combined with the auto-sensing STND, the MXER
swaps between connected headsets and speakers for you, automatically.

ASSEMBLE THE HEADSET STND
USE WITH MXER
Your new STND ships in two pieces. Start by carefully inserting the top piece
with messenger wire into the bottom section. Carefully apply even downward
pressure until tubes are fully inserted.
If you’ve purchased the NZXT MXER, connect the 2.5mm messenger cable on
the stand to the 2.5mm input on the rear of the MXER. This enables automatic
speaker/headset selection when a connected headset is stored or removed
from the STND.

NZXT HEADSET STND
BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING
WHEN USING THE NZXT MXER WITH YOUR NZXT STND, IF THE AUDIO
DOESN’T SWITCH AS EXPECTED TO CONNECTED SPEAKERS WHEN
STORING THE HEADSET, CHECK:
• Are both ends of the speaker audio cable firmly pushed into their 3.5mm audio connectors?
• Is the volume level of the device you are connected to set to minimum or muted?
• Is the 2.5mm messenger cable connector firmly pushed into the rear connector on the Mixer?
• Does the headset weigh at least 120 grams and centered on the cradle that activates the pressure switch?

can be limited, NZXT’s liability is limited, and its sole option, to repair or replacement, either new
or refurbished, with a similar function that is equal or greater in value depending on supply.

› Up to six years: if your goods do not last a reasonable length of time you may be entitled to some money back.
• If the person seeking to rely on the guarantee is not the original consumer, the NZXT Warranty will cover the
product in relation to that person provided that they are able to provide proof of the transfer of the benefit of
the guarantee from the original consumer.
• The implied warranties under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that your goods must be as described, fit for
all purposes for which such goods are usually supplied, and of satisfactory quality.
In the EU:
• If you are a consumer and have your habitual residence in the EU, you additionally enjoy the protection
