SAT-FINDER SF 28 LCD
The digital SAT-FINDER is mi ropro essor ontrolled, making it very reliable and a urate.
Signal strength is presented graphi ally on the LCD-display in form of thermometer-s ales
and in numbers (0-99). It an also present pit h tones (the higher tone the better signal) on a
buzzer. The digital SAT-FINDER is very sensitive and an dete t the weakest of signals, strong
in oming signals (powerfull satellite, big dishes ) an easily be attenuated for better readout.
Controls/Fun tions:

If the in oming signal is too strong, (the thermometer-s ales shows max and the signal
strength value shows 99) it an easily be attenuated by enabling this “attenuation” fun tion, it
redu es the in oming signal to a lower level. There are four step attenuation totally.

How to onne t:
1. Conne t a jumper able from the LNB to the “Satellite” port on the digital SAT-FINDER.
2. Conne t the able from your satellite re eiver to the “Re eiver” port on the digital SAT-FINDER.

Operation:
1. Swit h the satellite re eiver on, the digital SAT-FINDER will turn on by itself.
2. Set your dish to the proper azimuth and elevation settings.(The information should be supplied
with your satellite dish ).
3. Adjust the knob until the signal strength display at 0%(the riti al point).
4. Peak the signal by slowly moving the azimuth and elevation of your dish. The higher values, the
better signal. If the digital SAT-FINDER's reading be omes full s ale, you an adjust the “ATT”
to redu e the in oming signal to a lower level. Continue to move the dish until you have the
highest possible meter reading and the highest possible buzzer pit h.
5. Remove the jumper able and digital SAT-FINDER, and re onne t the LNB/LNBF to your
re eiver.
IMPORTANT NOTES:

To avoid a ontinuous full s ale reading, do not use the digital SAT-FINDER dire tly in front of
the dish.

When using a LNB with gain higher than 60dB, insert a 5dB attenuator between the LNB/LNBF
and the digital SAT-FINDER.
In ase no satellite re eiver is at hand a 13-18V DC power supply with F- onne tor an be
onne ted on the “Re eiver” side of the digital SAT-FINDER to power the SAT-FINDER.
Spe ifi ations:

Under the following test ondition:LNB gain =55dB, the arrier C/N=15dB.

Insert a 5dB attenuator when operating with LNB gain =60

65dB.
