nIntroduction
Please read through user manual carefully before using this device and
store the manual properly after use for future reference.
nApplications
The amplifier EH-101 is used to support hearing-impaired people
in conversations and better like quality. Speech and noise of the
environment will optionally be picked up via the inbuilt microphone
or internal reception coil. The amplified sound will be reproduced
via headphones to the user. Instead of headphones, it will also be
possible to connect an induction loop for transmitting the sound to
hearing aids with a “telephone coil”. An additional input will also allow
connection of an audio unit (e.g. CD player, mp3 player, iPod or a
radio).
nImportant notes
The amplier corresponds to all required directives of the EU and •
USA and is therefore marked with and .
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it against humidity and•
heat (admissible ambient temperature range 0-40˚C).
For cleaning the housing only use a dry, soft cloth. Never use water or•
chemicals.
No guarantee claims for the amplier and no liability for any resulting •
personal damage or material damage will be accepted if the amplier
is used for other purposes than originally intended, if it is not correctly
operated, or if it is not repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation denitively, please
take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal which will not
be harmful to the environment.

If the amplier is not used for a longer period, remove the batteries
to prevent damage to the amplier due to battery leakage.
2. Connecting headphones or an induction loop
Connecting headphones EM-201 to the 3.5 mm jack (1).
Alternatively, connect the induction loop NL-90 to the jack.
The loop is placed around your neck and will transmit the sound
via a magnetic eld to hearing aids with a “telephone coil”.
3. Connecting other audio sources
The 3.5 mm jack AUX will allow connection of an audio unit
with line output level (e.g. CD player, radio or the audio output
of a TV set). Thus, the microphone will be switched off.

1) To activate internal induction loop, please set the MIC/LOOP
button to the LOOP mode (MIC/LOOP button display in green).
2) Internal induction loop gets better results in areas with
induction loop system built-in, such as church, and theater.
3) When internal induction loop has been activated, you can hear
voice directly.
4) The icon on the right or similar icons to the
right indicates induction loop system is built-
in. You could also install induction loop

nAdvance settings
Switches inside battery compartment can use for the
following setting:
1. Amplication level increase
If volume is too low even if the control (6) is tuned up considerably,
switch 1 will additionally increase the amplication.
2. Switching off the bass attenuation
To improve speech intelligibility and to prevent hum interference
when receiving sound via the internal coil, a high-pass lter is
integrated to attenuate low frequencies. If low frequencies are
desired, e.g. when listening to music, switch off the lter with
switch 2.
3. Restricting the selection of audio sources
If the audio source is not to be switched over with the button
MIC/LOOP (5), dene the operating mode with the switch 3 and 4.
