a hot shoe for the optional Olympus FL-40 or other flash
units. Creative shooting options include manual and
automatic exposure control, manual or automatic white
balance and burst shooting mode with 16 MB of RAM
buffer for rapid shooting. The threaded lens mount allows
you to use accessory lenses and filters. An infrared remote
control and for the first time in a filmless camera – dual card
slots –accept both SmartMedia™and CompactFlash™media.

With one of the industry’s most accurate viewfinders,
what you see is truly what you get with the C-2500L for the
full range of its entire 36 - 110 mm equivalent zoom lens —
and beyond. Whether it’s a super macro shot from as
close as .8 inches or a 160 mm equivalent telephoto image
captured using the optional telephoto lens extender, the

Presenting you with
the familiar look and feel of
today’s finest film cameras,
the C-2500L puts presets
and easy controls right at
your fingertips. For most situations, the programmed
automatic mode assures shooting accuracy. For greater
control, you can select the f-stop and let the camera
choose the shutter speed with the aperture priority mode.
Or choose both f-stop and shutter speed in the manual
mode. Whatever settings you select, the C-2500L
remembers them when you turn it off. So you’re ready
to shoot when you turn it back on.
Whatever you need to express
your creativity, Olympus hands it to you.
The ability to select shutter speed manually allows you to capture
details on rapidly moving subjects or blur them for special effects.
Selecting a higher f-stop lets you focus on the foreground figure
(right) while throwing the background out of focus.

In addition to automatic white balance, the C-2500L
offers a series of white balance presets in degrees Kelvin
to accommodate a variety of common lighting conditions
or to create special effects. For the ultimate in precision,
a “one touch white balance” feature provides a full manual
reference for use with a white card.

use bounce flash (right) to reduce glare from direct lighting exposure.
