Mounting the Inattentive Driving camera
Mount the camera in one of the approved locations as described in the
previous slide. Camera is aimed at the driver’s face.
Camera must be below the visor.
1. Using an alcohol pad clean the windshield and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Do not use shop rags which contain grease even when clean.
2. Starting with top, slowly roll the mounting brackets of the camera on to the
windshield, keeping the Inattentive camera mount level and press firmly.
3. After mounting, you can view the camera from the exterior of the vehicle
(when mounted to the windshield). Dark spots on the bracket indicate
proper adhesion and light spots indicate poor adhesion. Pressure needs to
be applied to the mount in the areas that don’t show proper adhesion.
4. The left camera lens is the AI sensing camera used to detect inattentive
driving. At the top of the housing is a screw, loosen this screw and adjust the
AI sensing camera lens to point at the area where the driver’s head is likely
to be when seated looking at the road ahead
5. After aiming the AI camera lens secure the screw at the top of the housing so
that the lens can’t be adjusted outside the installation process
