Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the Lumicon
Deluxe Piggyback Mount. The Lumicon Deluxe Piggyback Mount
allows you to mount cameras having ¼-20 threaded mounting
holes onto medium and large telescopes. It is adjustable in
azimuth and altitude, thus allowing you to align your camera
with the optics of your main telescope.
Installation
1. Align the Piggyback Mount to the proper place on your
telescope.

2. Place the mounting base at the desired location on your
telescope’s main tube. On Scmidt-Cassegrain telescopes,
use existing mounting holes/screws. For Newtonians, use
the two 8-32 screws/nuts provided.
3. Remove the plastic knob with the ¼-20 bolt from its
storage position near the middle of the flat mounting
plate and reinsert it up-side-down through the hole
closest to the end. Thread into camera.
4. Reassemble the Piggyback Mount without over-tightening
the ¼-28 socket head screw, thus allowing adjustability.

Adjustment
Adjust the camera in azimuth by loosening the ¼-20 black
nylon thumbscrew, then tightening. Adjust altitude by
pivoting the platform, then lock it in place by tightening the 6-
32 thumbscrew.
