Intended use of the
device
The device is intended solely for
the playback of audio signals from
external sources and equipment, and
for the reception and reproduction
of radio broadcasting, to the extent
determined by the technical and
operational parameters and func-
tions, safety and user instructions and
external influences of the operating
environment.
Orava electrical appliances are manu-
factured according to the state of the
art and recognized safety rules.
Nevertheless, improper and unpro-
fessional use or use contrary to the
intended use may result in injury or
danger to the life of the user or third
party. damage to equipment and other
material values.
1. GENERAL SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS AND
WARNINGS
This document contains important
safety instructions and warnings for
the safe, correct and economical
operation of electrical equipment.
Its compliance helps the user avoid
risks, increase product reliability and
durability.
1.1 General Safety Instructions
• Before operating the device, we
recommend that you carefully read the
manual instructions and operate the
device according to the instructions!
• The safety instructions and warnings
contained in this manual do not cover
all possible conditions and situations
that may arise when using the device.
The user must understand that a
factor that cannot be built into any
of the products is responsibility and
caution. These factors must therefore
be ensured by the user / users using
and operating the device.
• Failure to observe the safety
instructions and warnings does not
result in the manufacturer liable for
any damage to health or property!
• Before using the device for the first
time, make sure the device is complete
and does not show any visible signs
of damage. If the product is defective
or has any visible damage, do not use
the product.

which it is intended and in the manner

device by unauthorized modification or

1.3 Electrical safety
• Before connecting the device to the
mains for the first time, check that the
mains voltage indicated on the device
label corresponds to the mains socket
voltage.
• The electric device is designed for 230
V ~ power supply.
The electrical safety of the device
is guaranteed only if it is correctly
connected to the mains.
• Use only the power cord with the plug
(power cord) supplied with the device
and compatible with the power socket.
Use of another lead may result in fire
or electric shock.
• Always connect the device to an easily
accessible AC socket. In the event
of a malfunction, the device must be
switched off and disconnected from
the mains as soon as possible.
• Do not unplug the power cord / pulling
on the lead / cord. To disconnect, pull
out the power cord / power cord plug.
• If you use an extension lead, make
sure that the total ampere rating of all
devices connected to the extension
lead does not exceed the extension
cord‘s maximum current rating.
• If you must use an extension power
lead or power supply block, ensure
that the power extension lead or
power supply block is plugged into an
electrical socket and not to a power
socket. an extension lead or power
supply block. The power extension

designed for grounded plugs and

• The power cord plug of the device

• If the power cord is damaged, unplug

must be replaced by the manufacturer,
its service representative, or a qualified
person to avoid the risk of electric
shock.
• Regularly inspect and maintain the
electrical device as well as the power
cord. Unplug the power cord regularly
and clean as necessary. Contamination
by dust or other substances can
cause the insulation to break and
consequently cause a fire.
• Do not expose the device to water or
damp conditions. Ingress of water into
the device increases the risk of electric
shock. If the power cord is wet or water
has entered the device, unplug it
immediately. If the device is connected
to a power socket and possible, turn
off the power at the electrical breaker
before attempting to disconnect the
power. Be careful when pulling wet
cables from a live power source.
• If the protective covers are removed
when installing (connecting) the
electrical device, its electrical parts
must not be accessible to the user
after installation.

1.4 Safety of persons
• This device is intended for use
by persons without electrical
qualifications (laymen) according to
the manufacturer‘s instructions.
• Operators of the device include
activities such as switching the device
on and off, user manipulation and
setting of operating parameters, visual
or auditory control of the device and
user cleaning and maintenance.
• This device may be used by children
of 8 years of age and older, and
persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or lack of
experience and knowledge only if they
are under the supervision or direction
of a responsible person, have been
instructed to use the device in a safe
manner, and understand any hazards.
• Cleaning and user maintenance can
only be carried out by children aged 8
years and older under the supervision
of a responsible person.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Keep the device out of reach of
children during use and operation.
Keep in mind that the device can also
be pulled down for a free power cord.
• Always exercise caution when
operating the electrical device. Do not
use the device if you are excessively
tired, under the influence of medicines
or narcotic drugs that reduce attention
and concentration. Caution when
operating may result in serious injury.
1.5 Cleaning, maintenance and
repair
• Only carry out normal cleaning
and maintenance of the device in
the recommended manner. Do not
use solvents or abrasive cleaning
items for cleaning. Pollution and
visible spots from touching fingers or
hands can be cleaned using cleaning
detergents specially designed for
cleaning household appliances.
• If you do not use, clean, or malfunction
your device always unplug the device.
• Do not disassemble the electrical
device. The device operates at
hazardous voltages. For this reason,
always switch off the device and
disconnect it from the mains when
performing user maintenance. In the
event of a fault, have the repair carried
out by an authorized service center.
• Only carry out the warranty and post-
warranty repair of the electrical device
by a qualified technician.

Unpacking/Packaging

in the „Commissioning“ section.

device is turned off and unplugged.

Inspection / Commissioning
• We recommend that you perform
both initial and follow-up periodic
inspections of the device.
• Never use the device if it is incom-
plete, damaged, or any part of it is
damaged during use.

accessories to install the device.

Location/Installation
• Only place the device on:
- Flat, solid and stable pads
- for tables and stools, for furniture
parts suitable for placing audio /
video equipment.
• Always make sure that the location
where you want to place the device
is sufficient space, mechanical stren-
gth and load capacity.
• Do not install the device in an enc-
losed space (eg closed bookcases,
built-in wardrobes, etc.) that do not
provide adequate space and ventila-
tion.
• To ensure the required air circulati-
on, leave it around the device
sufficient free space. It is recommen-
ded to leave min. 10 cm from all
sides.
• Do not cover the device partially. Do
not place objects and / or decora-
tive and other fabrics on the device,
do not insert or let foreign objects
enter the ventilation openings and
openings of the device covers.
• Do not cover the air vents openings.
Air ventilation ensures reliable and
safe operation of the device. There is
a risk of electric shock!

Warning!
• Do not expose the audio device and
remote control to:
- direct sunlight, heat generating
equipment,
- vibration and mechanical stress
- excessive dust,
- water and excess moisture,
- insect,
- an aggressive outdoor environ-

- to places where medical equip-
ment is used. Their function may be
impaired;

above the device.

Operation / Supervision
• During use and operation, keep
the device under supervision!
• Ensure that all electrical cable
connections are secure and pro-
perly connected.
If the power cord is not firmly
attached to the device, be careful
not to disconnect it from the
device while the plug is connec-
ted to the power socket. The free
end of the power cord is under
dangerous voltage. Do not insert
any conductive objects into the
terminal.
• Do not touch the device, the
power cord, or the antenna
during heavy thunderstorms. You
could be hit by electric current
from atmospheric discharge.
Unplug the power cord during
lightning storms or when not in
use for long periods of time.

• Unplug the unit from the wall
socket if you leave children or
incompetent persons unattended
near the unit.

• If you notice any abnormal

smoke, etc.) while using the devi-
ce, turn off the power and unplug
it immediately. Have the device
checked by a specialist garage.
Power Supplies / Batteries
• Safety instructions for the remote
control power supply - for batteries.
- Always store batteries out of the re-
ach of children. In case of swallowing
the batteries immediately
seek medical advice.
- Wipe the batteries with a dry cloth
before inserting them into the remote
control. You will secure it
better electrical contact.
- Only use the battery type specified
by the manufacturer. Do not use new
batteries with old ones. This may
cause damage to the remote control.
- Insert the batteries so that the „+“
and „-“ symbols on the batteries and
on the inside of the remote control
cover match.
- Do not handle batteries with metal
tools (e.g. tweezers, etc.). Conducti-
ve contact of both battery poles can
cause a short circuit.
- If you do not use the remote control
for a long time, it is recommended
that you remove the batteries from
the device. This protects the device
from damage from leaking batteries.
- Keep used batteries carefully so
that they cannot be swallowed by
children.
- Dispose of batteries in accordan-
ce with applicable regulations and
disposal regulations for electronic
equipment.
Warning!
- Batteries may explode if handled
incorrectly.
- Do not charge, disassemble, or
dispose of batteries in a fire.
- Seek medical advice if affected.

About the instruction manual
• The information in this manual mainly describes the controls on the device. You can also use the
controls on the remote control to control the system if they have similar or the same names as
the controls on the device.
Discs that can be played on this system
Remark
In this system, some CD-R or CD-RW discs cannot be played, depending on the quality of the
recording and the condition of the disc itself, or the characteristics of the device on which the
recording was made, even though it is in one of the supported formats, unless record made by
this system.
The disc will also not play if it has not been properly closed. This is not a malfunction of the
device. For details, refer to the instruction manual of the recording device.
Disc Notes
Handling discs
• Hold the disc only at the edges to prevent contamination of the disc surface. Do not touch the
surface of the disc.
• Do not attach anything to the surface of the disc. Do not use adhesives or improper markers.
• Do not use discs of non-standard shapes.
• Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or heat sources such as air conditioning ducts, or leave
the disc in a parked car in the sun because the interior temperature may increase considerably.
• After playing, place the disc in its place.
Cleaning
• Clean the disc with a cleaning cloth before playing. Clean the disc from the center to the edges.
• Do not use solvents such as petrol, thinner, commercially available cleaners, or antistatic sprays
designed to clean vinyl LPs for cleaning.

Notes on classic LP discs
Handling of gramophone discs
• Hold the disc only at the edges to prevent contamination of the surface. Do not touch the surface
of the disc and grooves. Dirt and mechanical damage reduce reproduction quality.
• Do not attach anything to the surface of the disc.
• Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or heat sources, such as air conditioning ducts, or leave
it in a parked car in the sun because the interior temperature may increase significantly.
• After playing, place the disc in their packaging.
• Store the disc in a vertical position. They may be damaged when stored horizontally.
• Store the discs away from dusty and vibration-free areas.
Cleaning
• Before playing, clean the disc with a soft and dry antistatic cloth. Clean the plate along the
grooves.
• Do not use solvents such as petrol, thinner, commercially available cleaners.
Replacing the pick up with a needle
The needle has an average life of approximately 50 hours in normal use. We recommend
replacing the pick up as soon as you notice a deterioration in sound quality (distortion). Using a
damaged needle can damage the discs. At the highest speed of 78 rpm. the needle wears faster.
Notifications
• Do not bend the pick up.
• Do not touch the needle directly.
• Unplug the power supply before replacing the pick up.
• Keep pick up out of reach of children.
• Do not place the pick-up unit near heat sources.
Removing the pick up
1. Push the top of the pick up down with the flat-head screwdriver in
the direction of arrow A.
2. To remove the pick up pull it up forward.
Inserting of new pick up
1. Grap the front edge of the pick up and press it into the shoulder in
the direction of arrow B.
2. Push the pick up in the direction of the C arrow to snap it into place. Guide pins

Activate the remote-control battery
The system can be operated with the supplied remote control. The battery is already inserted,
activate it by pulling out the insulating foil. If the battery runs out, replace it with a new one of the
same type.
Open the battery holder on the back of the DO.
Insert the same battery (lithium CR 2025) into the holder. When inserting, observe the correct
polarity. Close the battery holder.
When using the remote control, point it at the remote-control sensor on the system.
Notes
• Do not leave the remote control in very hot or humid places.
• Do not use other types of batteries.
• Be careful not to get any object into the remote control, especially when replacing the battery.
• Do not place the device in such a way that the remote sensor is exposed to direct sunlight or
light from the lamps. Otherwise, malfunctions may occur with remote control.
• If you do not intend to use the remote control for an extended period of time, remove the battery
to prevent battery leakage and corrosion.

To listen to the radio, set the FM antenna.
Notes
• Keep the unit away from other components in order not to be noisy.
• Extend the FM wire antenna to its maximum.
• After straightening the FM wire antenna, place it in the maximum horizontal position.
The AM band uses a built-in ferrite antenna. For high-quality AM reception, rotate the entire
device to a position where reception will be of the highest quality.

B Connect the power cord
Connect the power cord to an easily accessible electrical socket with a rated voltage of 230V /
50Hz. If you notice any problem, immediately unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
C Connect line output to another audio device
Connect the LINE OUT (L/R) jacks on the rear panel using an RCA cable with the audio input
jacks on another audio device. You will then be able to reproduce the sound from this unit with
other connected device (eg HiFi amplifier speakers, etc.).
Keep the color resolution of the connectors on the devices and cable.
Connect the red connector to the red connector (right channel) and connect the white or black
connector to the white or black connector (left channel).
Connecting line output from another audio
device
Connect the audio output jacks on another device (eg PC) to the AUX IN jack on the rear panel
using a suitable cable.
You will then be able to reproduce the sound from another device through the speakers of this
device.

Preparation for use
1 Carefully remove the device from its packaging and remove any packing material.
2 Unwind the cord and stretch it to its full length.
3 Unwind the FM wire antenna and extend it to its full length.
4 Place the device on a flat, solid surface with access to the wall socket, away from direct
sunlight, and sources of excessive heat, dust, moisture, shock, and strong magnetic fields.
5 Remove the protection from the pick up by pulling it out.
6 Gently push the locking clip used to secure the pickup arm during transport to release and
unlock the pick-up arm.
If you carry the device, lock the pick-up arm with the clip again.
7 Connect the power cord to an electrical socket.
PROTECT YOUR FURNITURE
This model is equipped with non-slip rubber feet that prevent the device from moving while you
operate the controls. These “feet” are made of non-slip rubber material with a special composition
to leave no marks or stains on the furniture. However, some types of oil-based furniture polishes,
wood preservatives or cleaning sprays can cause softening of the “feet” which can then leave

Opening and closing the lid
To open the lid, lift it as far as it will go until the lid support bracket locks into the open lid position.
To close the lid, pull the bracket slightly forward to release it and then lower the lid slowly.

Basic operations
1 Press POWER to turn on the unit. The power indicator lights up.
2 Select the desired audio source (MW / UKW / CD / USB / SD / TAPE / PHONO / AUX IN) by
pressing the appropriate sound / input source.
3 Turn VOLUME on the unit to adjust the volume.

Gramophone - Playing Classic Discs (PHONO)
This device has a full-featured three-speed belt driven turntable. This allows you to play the tracks
or record tracks from them.
You can play discs at 33, 45, and 78 rpm.
1 Press POWER to turn on the unit.
2 Press PHONO to turn on the gramophone (select turntable input source).
3 Make sure you remove the needle cover from the pick up and release the pick up arm latch
clip by gently sliding it to the right that secures the pick up arm on the pick up arm support.
4 Set the gramophone speed switch to the appropriate speed - 33, 45, or 78 rpm.
To play a SP plate (called a single with a large center hole) at a speed of 45 rpm, attach a
gramophone adapter to the center thorn of the gramophone adapter for 45 rpm.
5 Attach the disc to the center mandrel.
6 Using the arm lift control, lift the pick-up arm out of the armrest and gently slide the pick up
arm to the outer edge of the plate by hand so that the needle is above the groove in the plate.
The gramophone disc turns on automatically and starts to turn.
7 Slowly lower the arm lift knob slowly lower the pick-up arm to the disc surface.
8 Set the VOLUME knob to the desired level.
9 When the pick up arm reaches the edge of the disc, the disc rotation stops automatically.
Raise the pick arm with the control knob and slide it by hand over the arm holder and lower the
arm to the holder with the knob.
10 Press the POWER button to turn off the unit.
Note:
To stop playback manually, lift the arm of the pickup arm from the surface of the deck with the arm
lift knob, and gently slide the pickup arm into the arm holder.
