Controlling the SUB S4
The volume of the subwoofer is automatically
linked to the master speaker.
Bass control
You can change the amount of bass produced
by the SUB S4 by pressing bass+/- on the
remote control.
Please note that the remote control should be
pointed at the master speaker (e.g. DOCK) and
not the subwoofer to control it.

Get the most from the SUB S4
The S4 can be placed anywhere, but for the best performance,
please take note of the following advice.
Not too far
Although the SUB S4 is wireless with a range of 10+ metres,
the best sound is achieved by keeping it within 3 metres
of the master speaker. This is to ensure that the sound you
experience from the master and sub speakers travels about
the same distance, and is about the same volume.
Obstacles are ok
Sub bass has long wavelengths that travel around objects. So,
you can place the SUB S4 on display, or choose to tuck it away
behind furniture, and the sound will not usually be affected.
The choice is yours.
Room to breathe
The SUB S4 moves a lot of air. Wherever you place the
subwoofer, make sure that the metal grille has at least 2cm of
space all around, and that the port has at least 5cm between it
and any large surfaces (e.g. walls)
Alternative placement
The SUB S4 can also be placed on its side. This is convenient
for placing under furniture or shelves e.g. Please note that
the subwoofer must be placed with the metal grille facing
upwards, and with minimum clearance as stated above. Use
included extra feet when placing in this position.
Best within 3m
