You’ve chosen well
The Overout Ani. A speaker and lamp that looks as good as it
sounds and light. That you can bring almost everywhere. That will
help you celebrate life.
It’s designed to be intuitive for you to use. This manual just spells
out the details for instance, how to connect wirelessly in a ash.

Important Safety Instructions

5. Do not use this apparatus near water.
6. Clean only with dry cloth.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other
apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug
has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a
third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. If the
provided plug does not t into your outlet consult an electrician for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs convenience
receptacles and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
11. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table specified by the manufacturer
or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/
apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
14. Refer all servicing to quali ed service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has
been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been
spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or
moisture, does not operate normally or has been dropped.
15. To completely disconnect unit power from the AC mains, disconnect the unit’s power cord
from the mains socket.

•Do not place objects lled with liquids such as vases on the apparatus.Do not open apparatus.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Risk of electric shock inside.

Ani overview
Buttons and indicators on Ani
!
Status indicator
No light.
Ani is in off mode
Rapidly flashing.
Ani is is starting up or shutting down

Panel Led
Lighting
The LEDs of Ani are controllable through Overout App. You can create the environment you prefer,
over 16 million colors. The system has no limits on the number of connected devices.
Breathing orange.
Ani is in setup mode. Ani can be configured through the Overout App.

Flash Blue
A blue flash warns that after starting Ani is ready for use.
Standby mode
Ani automatically goes into hibernation and standby mode at the same time which is not used. To
wake Ani do not need any procedures, but just use it, the process is fully automated to allow for
maximum energy savings.
Input options
Bluetooth
Fast and easy and works for virtually every phone, tablet or MAC/PC supports aptX for Hi-Fi sound.
Wi-Fi
Works for phones, tablets, MAC/PC Wi-Fi and networked dlna enabled devices supports Wi-Fi
DIRECT.
Turn on Ani
1. Connect the power cord of the AC/DC to the power socket
2. Press the power switch, the status indicator begins to flash
3. After a few seconds, a blue flash of panel led and an audible alert, warns when Ani is ready.
4. The status indicator now has a constant light
Turn off Ani
1. Press the power switch for at least 3 or 4 seconds, the status indicator begins to flash
2. When the status indicator light has turned off constant, Ani is off
3. At this point you can remove the power cable
The Overout App
For lighting control and to get the most of your Overout Ani download the free Overout app. You
can find Overout App on the apple App Store for iOs or Google Play for Android.
The Overout app. allows you to:
•Set the lighting and color of the LEDs
•Adjust the sound to your preferred taste or surroundings
•Change the name that Ani will show on the Wi-Fi network.
•Change the network settings on Ani
•Manage your inputs on Ani

Audio Connecting priority
Ani automatically selects input for you based on the following rules.
Wi-Fi
If Wi-Fi is connected and playing music, other additional connections disconnected earlier. Some
multi-room App allows connections to multiple sources.
Bluetooth
If Bluetooth is connected and playing music, are not possible other Bluetooth connection, while at
the same time is allowed Wi-Fi
Light Connecting priority
Lighting can be controlled through the Over Out App. The connection is based on:
Wi-Fi
Many devices can control the lighting of Ani simultaneously. The system thinks to synchronize all
connected devices. The control can be many to many.
Bluetooth
The connection is through the Bluetooth low energy. This mode is always available as long as in
your device the Bluetooth has been turned on, although has not been paired.
If BLE is connected, are not possible other BLE connection, the control can be just one to many.

!
1. Enable Bluetooth paring on your device and select BlueAni-ffffff as your Bluetooth device.
2. Let the music play.
3. Adjust the volume on Ani with your Overout App.
Connecting direct with Wi-Fi
For AirPlay and dlna direct playback

1. Find Wi-Fi network settings on your device.
2. Select the network called NetAni (No password required)
3. Play music on your device.
Connecting to your Wi-Fi network
Before start, download the App:

Using Wi-Fi DIRECT connection

1. Tap the Overout App
2. Select the device called AirAni-xxxxxx
3. Tap the Setup icon , a breathing orange light led, informs you that you are in setup mode

4. Tap Scan on Setup Wi-Fi
5. Select your Home Network
6. Insert the password for your Home network
7. Tap on Access Point switch and change the configuration. Now you can change the network
from home to Wi-Fi Direct and vice versa, simply switching the configuration.

Using Bluetooth LE connection

1. Tap the Overout App
2. Select the device called BleAni-ffffff
3. Tap the setup Wi-Fi icon
4. Select your Home Network
5. Insert the password for your Home network

From release 6.0 Marshmallow of Android, before running the application, you need to enable the
geolocalization. The geolocation can be enabled from the notifications center or from the settings.
Playback through Wi-Fi
Connect your playback device and Ani to the same Wi-Fi network and playback is simple, choose
Ani as sound device or renderer on your playback device.
For iOS device just press the AirPlay logo and choose Ani.
Using iTunes on a MAC/PC, you can stream music through your network to multiple Overout Ani
simultaneously. You can even remote control iTunes with a free Apple remote app. In this way you
can control the music stream from iTunes to multiple Overout Ani with your iPhone, iPod or iPad.
Live Streaming
We recommend that you connect Ani to your home Wi-Fi network when possible. This gives you
access to Wi-Fi streaming within your entire Wi-Fi network range, and allows you to have stable
streaming from internet radio services or music services.
Please note: When streaming from the internet the playback quality will depend on your internet
connection. If the connection is slow, dropouts may occur. Also be aware that internet connection
can be expensive when using a mobile phone.

Lighting

You can control the lighting, color and geometry of the LEDs, increasing and reducing the sliders
Master Volume, Play Pattern and Commands

•Adjust the master volume and the volume of the left and right channels by increasing and
decreasing the slider shown in the picture
•Activate the pattern related to the play light
•Check shutdown and the restart of Ani with the commands shown in Figure

In the app there are other setups as
•Changing the name of Ani shown on the airplay
•Ani software and firmware update
•Changing the name of the access point created
•Resets Ani software to factory settings

Master Volume, Play Pattern and Commands
The lighting control, the master volume control and the command control occurs in the same
manner described for Wi-Fi.
Troubleshooting
In the extreme case that Ani is pushed to overheating, please unplug the power cord and wait for
approximately 5 min. before plugging in Ani and powering it up again.

Operation
Movement of the handle
!
1. Pull the handle completely before rotate it
2. Rotate the handle only in the direction indicated in figure 2
3. To return the handle to the vertical position, rotate the handle as in Figure 3
Be carefull.
The handle is equipped with a movement of rotation only on top of the linear movement.
You may not groped to rotate the handle, until it has been completely extracted and not to force
the movement of rotation in the opposite direction. These actions may damage the handle
mechanism.
Product care
!
This product is designed to premium music performance in normal living space. Exposure to rain,
moisture, high humidity or sources of heat may damage the product. The intended use is within a
temperature range of 5°C 40°C (40°F 105°F).

Cleaning
Your Overout product is covered with fine and unique materials as wood and leather. These
materials have a natural surface treatment, so it must be treated with care without using aggressive
detergents or acids, possibly only a damp cloth.
Never use a vacuum cleaner, this can cause damage on the loudspeaker units behind the textile.
