Calculating Enclosure Volume
Specifications
2 3
Enclosure Recommendations
Multiplying all three internal dimensions in inches and then dividing the product by 1728
will produce the enclosure volume in cubic feet.
(H x W x D) / 1728 = Enclosure Volume ft.³.
Enclosures should be constructed with inch MDF to prevent flexing of the enclosure
walls. When assembling the enclosure all panels should be first glued, and then fas-
tened together with either a brad nailer or screws in pre-drilled holes. After the enclo-
sure has been assembled all seams should be sealed with silicone.
Enclosure recommendations are internal volumes. Brace displacement, and port dis-
placement must be added to the volumes listed above.
NOTE: When constructing a vented enclosure, equalization is not recommended below
the enclosure tuning frequency (Fb). Also, the end of port should be no closer than it’s
own diameter to the wall opposite the opening.

Oz Dustcap LED Lighting
The Vector 3 subwoofers’ dustcap can be illuminated with a blue Oz logo. To activate
the LED lighting, connect the terminals that are above the LED designation on the mag-
net boot. The terminals are marked as + and –. Connect the – terminal to ground and
connect the + terminal to a positive 12-volt source that deactivates when the ignition is
turned off. Possible sources for a12-volt signal would be an ignition wire at the ignition
switch, the amplifier activation output from the radio, or a switch installed to activate the
lighting.
