1.4 Color Filter Array (Color)
The PX16M47CCL is processed with a Bayer RGB color pattern(M_BAYER_RG) as shown in
figure 1. Pixel (0,0) has a red filter situated to the top left. Green1 and Green2 have a slightly
different spectral response due to (optical) cross talk from neighboring pixels.

3Power Over Camera Link (PoCL)
The Pollux Camera Link cameras comply with “Power over Camera Link” which
enables power to be supplied to the camera through the Camera Link cables. Power
must be supplied via both Camera Link cables in order to utilize the PoCL
capabilities. If you plan to use this function, please be sure that the frame grabber
board you are using also complies with this specification. We can guarantee the
Radient frame grabber from Matrox are able to supply a sufficient power for the
camera‘s operation. Alternatively, the camera can be powered via a separate power
supply connected to the 6-pin Hirose Connector.
It is recommended to remove the power adapter from the camera power connector
when using the camera in a PoCL configuration.
3.1 Camera Link Connector
The camera uses two Mini Camera Link (MiniCL) SDR26 cables transmitting the
Camera Link Configuration.
The figure below shows the SDR26 Camera Link Connector and the tables that
follow list the Camera Link configurations.

3.2 Trigger Input Design
There are one input triggers and an output trigger on the power connector (pin 5,
and 3). The inputs and output are connected to Opto-islolated I/Os in the camera,
with an input/output voltage range of 2.5 V to 5.0 V. There is a 510 Ω series resistor
in the input path, a 680 Ω series resistor in the output path. The circuit diagram
for the trigger inputs is shown in Figure 5.

3.4 Installation
The following instructions assume that you have installed a Camera Link Frame
Grabber in your computer including related software. Procedures below also
assume that you may attempt to configure a link between a camera and Camera
Link Frame Grabber by using two Mini Camera Link (MiniCL) SDR26 cables or two
Mini Camera Link (MiniCL) SDR26 PoCL cables. To connect the camera to your
computer, follow the steps below :
1. Make sure that the power supply is not connected to the camera and your
computer is turned off.
•Go on to step 2 if you are using a power supply.
•Go on to step 3 if you are using a Power over Camera Link (PoCL) Frame
Grabber.
2. If you are using a power supply:
a. Plug one ends of the other two Mini Camera Link (MiniCL) SDR26 cables into
CH1 and CH2 of the Camera Link Frame Grabber and the other ends of the
Mini Camera Link (MiniCL) SDR26 cables into the CH1 and CH2 of the MiniCL
SDR26 Connectors on the camera respectively.
b. Connect the plug of the power adapter to the 6-pin power input receptacle on
the camera.
c. Plug the power adapter into a working electrical outlet.

OZRAY Pollux Small Series –16M Camera
Page 18 of 40 Manual 1.2
Figure 9. Installation using a power supply
3. If you are using PoCL (Power Over Camera Link) :
a. Plug one ends of the other two Mini Camera Link (MiniCL) SDR26 PoCL cables
into CH1 and CH2 of the Camera Link Frame Grabber and the other ends of
the Mini Camera Link (MiniCL) SDR26 PoCL cables into the CH1 and CH2 of
the MiniCL SDR26 Connectors on the camera respectively.
b. You must connect CH1 connector before plug CH2 to power the camera via
PoCL.
4. Verify all the cable connections are secure.
** Precautions for using Power over Camera Link (PoCL)
•It is recommended to remove the power adapter from the camera power
connector when using the camera in a PoCL configuration.
To power a camera via PoCL Frame Grabber, you must connect CH2 before plug
CH1 of the camera to their respective connectors on the Camera Link Frame
Grabber.
